AIM To study the effect of glucocorticoid acetic acid cortisone on expression of CaM mRNA in hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPAA). METHODS Using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR),the expression of CaM mRNA was measured in HPAA of rats which were injected with acetic acid cortisone. RESULTS Acetic acid cortisone induced the expression of CaM mRNA in hypothalamus and adrenal respectively, but it had no effect significantly in pituitary. CONCLUSION These data suggest that CaM mRNA plays important role in the modulation of GC in HPAA.

Objective To investigate the calcium signal transduction pathway in hippocampal neurons of mice with vascular dementia (VaD) and the intervention effect of dihydroergocriptine (DHE). Methods The mice were subjected for ischemia-reperfusion repeatedly on bilateral common carotid arteries by knots to establish the VaD models. Animals with sham-operation were taken as control group. The treating group was administered with DHE after the establishment of VaD model. The behavior changes were observed through the step-down avoidance test and water maze test on the 29th and 30th days after operation. The resting 〔Ca 2+〕 i level of hippocampal neurons was evaluated by laser scanning confocal microscopy. RT-PCR technique was used to measure mRNA expression of CaM an CaMPKⅡ in hippocampal neurons. Results The resting 〔Ca 2+〕 i level in model group(43.50?3.00) was significantly higher than those in the sham-operation group (25.50?3.50) (P

The clinical and fundamental research for intrahepatic and extrahepatic biliary stones were still inadequate currently. It was difficult for treat and has the following clinical features:extensive he-patic lesion, complex conditions, more complications, higher recurrence rate, etc.Satisfactory results were hard to gained if just depend on conventional surgery recently. As the methods of diagnosis and treatment are continuously increasing:Ultrasound,CT,MRCP,Choledochoscope,Cholangiography and 3D imaging of hepa-tobiliary system. From the traditional open operation to a variety of minimally invasive treatment.Different examination and treatment methods has its advantages and disadvantages. How to choose the effective, less trauma, appropriate pathway method is the main direction for the current research.

Objective To observe the effect of low concentration Aβ1-42 monomer/oligomers and CORM-2 in different concentration on livability of SN56 cells. Methods SN56 cells were cultured in the 96-well plate with uniform concentration, and were divided into control group, Aβ1-42 group, Aβ1-42 + CORM-2 50μM group, and Aβ1-42 + CORM-2 100 μM group. Three lines of cells in Aβ1-42 group were cultured in the surroundings of 10nM,100nM and 1 μM Aβ1-42monomer/oligomers, respectively. Aβ1-42 + CORM-2 50μM group and Aβ1-42 + CORM-2 100μM group had the same culture condition as group Aβ1-42 ,except contain 50μM, and 100μM CORM-2, respectively. Control group didnt have any effect factor. Three days later, the livability of different groups was compared with MTT method. Results The livability of group Aβ1-42 with the increasing concentration of Aβ1-42 was (79.73 ±0.94)% ,(67.99 ±0.79)% ,(60.42 ±0.62)% , respectively. The higher the concentration of Aβ1-42 was,the lower the livability of SN56 cell was. The livability of group Aβ1-42 + CORM-2 50μM/100μM was( 75.15±0.096)%,(63.20 ±0.17)%, (55.33 ±0.19)%; (73.20 ±0.27)%, (64.34 ±0.11 )%, (54.17 ±0.12)% , respectively. Both were lower than group Aβ1-42. And different CORM-2 concentration had discrepancy in the ability of decreasing the cell livability. Conclusion Low concentration of Aβ1-42 can reduce the livability of SN56 cells, and higher concentration has more significant effect; CORM-2 in different concentration both can decrease the livability of SN56 cells, and there is a discrepancy in the intensity.

Objective To investigate the role of bacterial DNA in systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS). Methods A total of 100 mice of Kunming species were divided into ten groups: E.coli DNA (30, 20, 10, 5 and 1 mg/kg ), 30 mg/kg of CT DNA, 60Co DNA, DNased DNA, organic residue of DNA extraction and sterile water control. The last two were pre-treated with D-galactoamine (600 mg/kg intra peritoneally). Animals were administratively injected via tail vein. General physical condition and the death rate of mice were observed within 48 h. Results ①Obvious lethal effect of double strand E.coli DNA on mice were observed with a dose-effect correlation, LD50=11.51 mg/kg. ②NO difference in death rate was found in the group of 30 mg/kg E.coli DNA with or without 60Co irradiation (10/10 and 8/10,P>0.05). ③No rats died in the group of DNased DNA, organic residue of DNA extraction and calf thymic DNA (0/10). Conclusion Bacterial DNA may play an important role in the development of SIRS.

Objective:To investigate the recognition and injury prevention strategies of hepatic artery variations during hepatic portal lymphadenectomy. Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed, and 12 patients of hepatic arterial variation among 62 pa-tients with hepatic portal lymphadenectomy were the subjects. The study was conducted in the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medi-cal College between January 2013 and July 2014. The intraoperative treatment and postoperative complications were recorded. Results:Among 12 cases of hepatic artery variation, we found the following cases:3 cases (25.0%) of Michels' Type III, 2 cases (16.7%) of Mi-chels' Type VI, 1 case (8.3%) of Michels' Type IX, 1 case (8.3%) of Hiatt's Type 6, 2 cases (16.7%) of spatial location variation between right hepatic artery and hepatic duct, 2 cases (16.7%) of left and right hepatic artery originating from a common hepatic artery, and 1 case (8.3%) of right hepatic artery originating from the gastroduodenal artery. No injury of hepatic artery occurred. Two cases had post-operative complications, including 1 case of pancreatic leakage and 1 case of incision infection;postoperative hemorrhage, bile leakage, hepatic abscess did not occur in these two cases. Patients recovered well in general. Conclusion:Hepatic arterial injury can be signifi-cantly reduced by the following:increased familiarity with the various types of hepatic artery variations;complete imaging examina-tions for inspection and evaluation before surgery;and careful and meticulous operations in surgery.
