Objective To evaluate the clinical value of humeral antegrad e interlocking nails. Method 21 patients with humeral shaft fracture were treate d with open reduction and internal fixation with antegrade interlocking nail. Re sult The patients were followed up for 3 to 20 months (mean 14.6months). All pat ients acquired bone healing, and only one case had temporary injury of radius ne rve. Conclusion The humeral antegrade interlocking nail is an effective method t o treat humeral shaft fracture, with advantages of good elbow function and less complications of infection and injury of radius nerve.

[Objective]To evaluate the curative effect of the one-stage anterior radical debridement, titanium mesh cage bone fusion and inernal fixation for the treatment of thoracolumbar spinal tuberculosis.[Method]Twenty-two thoracolumbar spinal tuberculosis cases from January 2003 to February 2006 were analyzed retrospectively, among whom 12 were male and 10 were female, age ranging from 19 to 76 years with a mean of 36 years.T_9~L_5 vertebrae were involved in,in detail 1 was involved in single vertebra,17 were involved in 2 vertebrae,3 were involved in 3 vertebrae,1 was involved in the type of jumping style,M=2,Q=0.All cases received one-stage anerior radical debridement, titanium mesh cage bone fusion and internal fixation along with strict anti-tuberculosis chemical therapies. The improvement of symptoms and neurological function, angles reduced by the surgeries and bone fusion, angles lost as well as the subsidence of the titanium mesh during the long-term follow-up were observed and compared statistically.[Result]No recurrence was found in the follow-up period extending from 6 months to 24 months with an averaging of 12.5 months. All the incisions acquired primary healing. The systematic and local symptoms were released postoperatively.Neurological function recovered in different degrees(P

Objective To study the outcomes of 2 rehabilitation protocols after simultaneous stage Ⅰ bilateral total knee replacement (TKR). Methods One hundred and twenty patients admitted for stage Ⅰ bilateral TKR were assigned randomly to receive alternative or traditional rehabilitation therapy. Rehabilitation training was administered in both alternative and traditional groups before and after operation. In alternative group, each rehabilitation action was designed to be done on one side and the other side alternatively. In traditional group, each training session was designed to be done on one side and then followed by the other side in succession. Visual analogue scale (VAS)scores were evaluated for 2 weeks after operation and deep vein thrombosis (DVT) complications were recorded for 3 months after operation. The range of motion ( ROM), American hospital special surgery (HSS) knee scores and SF-12 scores were recorded at 1 d before operation and the 1st, 3rd, 6th and 12th month after operation, Results One hundred and fifteen patients completed all training sessions and assessments. Compared with traditional group, alter-native group had significantly lower VAS scores in the early postoperation stage and significantly better knee function scores and SF-12 scores at the 1 st and 3rd month postoperation (P <0. 005). Conclusion The alternative protocol can speed up rehabilitation and lead to decrease VAS scores in the early postoperation stage, and improve knee func-tion and physical and mental health after TKR.

We originally created the theory of "four separated" management of goods, by which we achieved the effective administration in the aspects of check and approval, purchase, safekeeping and usage of materials in our hospital. Combining with practical work of our hospital, this article analyzed and summarized the theory, application, effect and significance of the "four separated" management of the goods.
