Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety ofQingre Huoxue Mixture in the treatment of blood heat type psoriasis vulgaris. Methods The patients were divided into treatment group and control group according to random number table method, with 52 cases in treatment group and 50 cases in the control group, 10 cases failed to complete the trial. Treatment group was givenQingre Huoxue Mixture, and the control group received oral administration of compoundQingdaiCapsule. The treatment lasted for 8 weeks. PASI score, TCM syndrome integrals, DLQI score, serum IFN-γ and IL-10 were detected, and hematuria routine and liver and kidney function were under safety testing before and after treatment. Results After treatment, PASI score, DLQI score and TCM syndrome integrals in the treatment group decreased significantly (P<0.001); the expression of serum IFN-γ decreased significantly (P<0.001); the expression of serum IL-10 increased significantly (P<0.001), with the total effective rate of 100% (52/52). After the treatment, TCM syndrome integrals in the both groups decreased significantly (P<0.001). After the treatment, the rash burning and itching scores in the treatment group were lower than the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.001). In terms of safety, the treatment group had no abnormal indicators.ConclusionQingre Huoxue Mixture has obvious curative effect, which can reduce the patients with psoriasis, improve the life quality of patients, and improve the clinical symptoms of rash burning and itching, reduce serum IFN-γ, and increase serum IL-10.

Objective To investigate the characteristics and the enhanced patterns of carotid plaque using contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and patients with cerebral infarction. Methods The patients with carotid plaque were divided into two groups according to whether they had cerebral infarction:54 patients (62 plaques with CEUS) with cerebral infarction were included in group A,and 48 patients (54 plaques with CEUS) without cerebral infarction were included in group B.The plaques were divided into four grades according to the degree of plaque enhancement.According to the source of intraplaque contrast agents, plaque enhancement patterns were divided into adventitia enhancement, lumen enhancement and mixed enhancement. To analyze the degree and pattern of carotid plaque enhancement in the two groups. Results Carotid plaque enhancement in cerebral infarction group was mainly grade 3 (26/62) and grade 4 (22/62),while that in non-cerebral infarction group was mainly grade 2 (20/54) and grade 3 (20/54).There was significant difference between the two groups in the proportion of carotid plaque enhancement of grade 2 (P =0.019) and grade 4 (P =0.041).The proportion of plaque adventitia enhancement model in group A(27/59) was lower than that in group B (37/50),with statistically significant difference (P =0.003).While the proportion of mixed enhancement mode in group A was significantly higher than that in group B (P =0.003).Conclusions The enhancement of carotid plaque was obvious in cerebral infarction patients, and the mixed enhancement pattern was more common. It suggested that the communication between vascular cavity and plaque might be an important factor leading to cerebral infarction.

Objective :
To investigate the effect of a laser-etched pure titanium surface on proliferation of the human osteosarcoma cell line MG63 and to provide a basis for study of implant surface modification.
Methods:
The pure titanium plate was cut into titanium pieces by a numerical control machine tool and divided into smooth surface and laser etching groups. The titanium surface of the laser etching group was etched with an Nd:YAG continuous wave laser using predetermined parameters, and the surfaces were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The surface micromorphology of each titanium sheet was evaluated. The relative element content of the titanium surface was measured by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The Ra value of each surface was determined using the Veeco roughness tester. MG63 cells were inoculated on 2 sets of titanium tablets. At 1, 3, and 6 h postinoculation, cell adhesion to the two groups of titanium sheets was observed under the microscope. At 24 h after inoculation, cellular F-actin was directly stained using immunofluorescence, and the morphology of the cytoskeleton was observed by laser confocal microscopy. Cell proliferation was examined at 1, 3, and 5 d using a MTS kit, and the data were analyzed with SAS 9.4.
Results :
The surface of the smooth surface group was smooth and flat, the element composition was pure titanium, and the roughness Ra was 179.23 nm. The surface of the laser-etched group formed a regular and uniform pore structure. The composition was mainly Ti, O, C, etc, and the surface roughness Ra was 14.11 μm. A large number of cells were uniformly distributed on the two titanium sheets in the observations at 1, 3, and 6 h. At 24 h postinoculation, MG63 cells were completely stretched on the two sets of titanium sheets and had extended a large number of pseudopods and microfilaments to cross-link with peripheral cells; moreover, the cell division phase was observed. The cell proliferation of the two groups at 1, 3, and 5 d showed a significant increase with time, indicating that no cytotoxicity occurred on the surfaces of the two groups. However, the cell proliferation in the laser-etched group was superior to that in the mechanical smooth surface group.
Conclusion
The surface morphology of titanium can be controlled by laser etching, which is conductive to increase the microstructure of implants without cytotoxicity and promoting osteoblast proliferation in the early stage.

BACKGROUND:
Transcription factor (TF) can bind specific sequences that either promotes or represses the transcription of target genes, and exerts important effects on tumorigenesis, migration, invasion. Staphylococcal nuclease-containing structural domain 1 (SND1), which is a transcriptional co-activator, is considered as a promising target for tumor therapy. However, its role in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) remains unclear. This study aims to explore the role of SND1 in LUAD.
METHODS:
Data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO), Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC), and Human Protein Atlas (HPA) database was obtained to explore the association between SND1 and the prognosis, as well as the immune cell infiltration, and subcellular localization in LUAD tissues. Furthermore, the functional role of SND1 in LUAD was verified in vitro. EdU assay, CCK-8 assay, flow cytometry, scratch assay, Transwell assay and Western blot were performed.
RESULTS:
SND1 was found to be upregulated and high expression of SND1 is correlated with poor prognosis of LUAD patients. In addition, SND1 was predominantly present in the cytoplasm of LUAD cells. Enrichment analysis showed that SND1 was closely associated with the cell cycle, as well as DNA replication, and chromosome segregation. Immune infiltration analysis showed that SND1 was closely associated with various immune cell populations, including T cells, B cells, cytotoxic cells and dendritic cells. In vitro studies demonstrated that silencing of SND1 inhibited cell proliferation, invasion and migration of LUAD cells. Besides, cell cycle was blocked at G1 phase by down-regulating SND1.
CONCLUSIONS
SND1 might be an important prognostic biomarker of LUAD and may promote LUAD cells proliferation and migration.
