Objective To observe the effects of selective α2-adrenergic receptor agonist alpha-Methylnore-pinephrine(α-MNE) as a vasopressin agent on hemodynamics, troponin T(cTnT) and myocardium in the rabbit cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Method Eighteen health rabbits, weighing 2.5 - 3.5 kg, both male and female, were provided by Lanzhou institute of veterinary medicine. After setting up rabbit model of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, 18 rabbits were randomly divided into three groups. The rabbits in group A as a operation-control group were processed with anesthesia, endotracheal intubation, and surgery without ventricular fibrillation induced. The rabbits in group B as a epinephrine group were administered with 30 ug/kg epinephrineduring CPR. The rabbits in group C as a MNE group were administered with 100 ug/kg α-MNE during CPR. The left ventrictdar end-diastolic pressure(LVEDP), left ventricular pressure rise and fall rate(± dp/dt) and serum concentrations of BNP were measured. Statistic package of SPSS 10.0 was used for the data analysis and significant differences between means were evaluated by ANOVA analysis. Results Compared with group A, LVEDP of other two groups gradually increased respectively(P < 0. 01), and peak ± dp/dt decreased in other two groups(P<0.01). Increase in LVEDP in group C was less than that in group B(P<0.05), whereas peak ± dp/dt in group C were higher than that in group B(P<0.05), at the same stage. Compared with group A, the cTnT of the remaining two groups increased(P<0.01, respectively),and reached peak at 30 minutes. In group C, the elevation of cTnT was less than that in group B(P<0.05) during the same period. In group B and C, myocardial injury was seen under a light microscope, but the injury in group C was lighter than that in group B. Conclusion The methylnorepinephrine can lessen the myocardial dysfunction after CPR.

The study was initiated from a child with diabetes. After we collected his clinical data and traced back his family history of diabetes, a clinical diagnosis of maturity-onset diabetes of the young(MODY)was made. To amplify and sequence the target gene, the genomic DNA was extracted from the anticoagulant blood samples of the patient and his first-degree relatives, revealing a missense mutation(c.779C>T)in exon 4 of hepatocyte nuclear factor-1α in the proband and his father. The above sequencing result confirms the diagnosis of MODY3. During one year follow-up, the proband achieved the strict control of blood glucose with the use of repaglinide and his father got a notable improvement of blood glucose after his drug was shifted to the long-acting sulfonylurea.

Objective:To investigate the effects and potential mechanism of vitamin D supplementation on testicular function in aging rats induced by D-galactose.Methods:The aging rats were induced by D-galactose with subcutaneous injection. The animals were randomly divided into 6 groups: aging rats (DG), aging rats with low-dose vitamin D supplementation (LD), aging rats with high-dose vitamin D supplementation (HD), normal control rats(NC), normal rats with low-dose vitamin D supplementation(LN), normal rats with high-dose vitamin D supplementation (HN). The body weight, testicular weight, serum testosterone concentrations and sperm quality of the rats in each group were measured. The testis morphological changes were detected using light microscopy. The activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and level of malondialdehyde(MDA) were determined with spectrophotometer. The expression levels of Nrf2, GCLC, SOD2 and VDR in testis were detected by western blot. Results:At baseline, compared with NC group, testicular weight, serum testosterone level, SOD activity, Nrf2, GCLC and SOD2 expression levels were significantly decreased in DG group, while MDA level was significantly increased. After vitamin D supplementation, testicular weight, testosterone levels and SOD activity in both of HD and LD groups were significantly increased, while the MDA level was significantly decreased. The expression levels of Nrf2, GCLC, SOD2 and VDR were significantly increased. Conclusion:Vitamin D supplementation may enhance the testicular antioxidant capacity through activating Nrf2-ARE signaling pathway, and improve the testicular function in D-galactose-induced aging rats.

India is rich of traditional medicine knowledge. Due to inadequate protection on its traditional medicine knowledge, some of them have been illegally possessed or used by other countries, resulting in huge economic and cultural losses. In order to prevent such issues from happening, the Indian government has formulated a series of policies to protect and rationally develop traditional medicine knowledge, taken up many effective measures, such as collecting and archiving traditional medical knowledge, formulating laws and policies, establishing an administrative supervision system for traditional medicine knowledge, establish a Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (TKDL), as well as build a traditional medical knowledge registration and invention patent system. It also establishes an investment foundation, and conducts intellectual property culture building. At present, India has formed a relatively complete protection system for traditional medicine knowledge, which has achieved good results and gained recognition. To summarize the experience of traditional medicine knowledge protection in India can provide reference for China.
