Objective To explore the risk factors for intracranial hemorrhage caused by late vitamin K deficiency bleeding(VKDB),in order to prevent and reduce the incidence of intracranial hemorrhage caused by late VKDB.Methods A retrospective analysis of the risk factors of late VKDB and intracranial hemorrhage was applied to 2 groups of patients in PICU and department of neurology of Beijing children's Hospital from Jan.2002 to Dec.2007.In group Ⅰ,there were 90 patients suffering from intracranial hemorrhage caused by late VKDB;while in group Ⅱ,there were 23 patients of late VKDB without intracranial hemorrhage.Within 12 hours of hospitalization, the following 9 items were checked:the cranial CT,blood calcium concentration, liver function, serum sodium, blood glucose, prothrombin time, partial thromboplastin time, fibrinogen concentration, and platelet.Ten possible relevant risk factors of gender, age, birth situation, feeding patterns, recent diarrhea, cytomegalovirus(CMV)infection, hypocalcemia, dysglycemia, hyponatremia, and abnormal liver function were analyzed by the method of non-conditional Logistic regression analysis. Results Statistically significant difference had been found in the 3 factors of hypocalcaemia, recent diarrhea, abnormal liver function(Pa

Chronic osteomyelitis is one of the most common disorder in clinic. In recent years due to diabetes, peripheral vascular disease and trauma induced disease increased, the prevalence rate increased. With the development of magnetic resonance imaging and CT imaging technology, it greatly improved the accuracy of clinical diagnosis of chronic osteomyclitis and ability to describe the infection characteristics, and provide a reliable basis for clinical treatment. The current research on chronic osteomyelitis mainly concentrated on the aspects of imaging applications and ways of using antibiotic optimization control inflammation, defect restoration and reconstruction of blood supply and treatment. But the best time to the antibiotic therapy and the use of program is still uncertain, for after debridement, bone grafting time and defect repair function of fast recovery still need further research.

In this paper, the chloroplast psbK-psbI intergenic spacers of 18 species of Dendrobium and their adulterants were amplified and sequenced, and then the sequence characteristics were analyzed. The sequence lengths of chloroplast psbK-psbI regions of Dendrobium ranged from 474 to 513 bp and the GC contents were 25.4%-27.6%. The variable sites were 71 while the informative sites were 46. The inter-specific genetic distances calculated by Kimura 2-parameter (K2P) of Dendrobium were 0.006 1-0.058 1, with an average of 0.028 4. The K2P genetic distances between Dendrobium species and Bulbophyllum odoratissimum were 0.093 2-0.120 4. The NJ tree showed that the Dendrobium species can be easily differentiated from each other and 6 samples of the inspected Dendrobium species were identified successfully through sequencing the psbK-psbI intergenic spacer. Therefore, the chloroplast psbK-psbI intergenic spacer can be used as a candidate marker to identify Dendrobium species and its adulterants.

In order to identify Peucedani Radix, Peucedani Decursivi Radix and their adulterants, the internal transcribed spacer 2 (ITS2) regions of Peucedani Radix, Peucedani Decursivi Radix and their adulterants were amplified and bidirectionally sequenced based on the Principles for Molecular Identification of Traditional Chinese Materia Medica Using DNA Barcoding, which has been promulgated by Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission. Sequences were analyzed and assembled by Codon Code Aligner V3. 7.1. The relevant data were analyzed by MEGA 5. 0. Species identification analyses were performed by using the nearest distance methods and neighbor-joining (NJ) methods. The result showed that the ITS2 sequence lengths of Peucedani Radix were 229-230 bp and the average intra-specific genetic distances were 0.005. The ITS2 sequence lengths of Peucedani Decursivi Radix were 227 bp and the sequences contained no variation site. The average inter-specific K2P genetic distance of Peucedani Radix, Peucedani Decursivi Radix and their adulterants species were 0.044 and 0.065 respectively. The minimum inter-specific divergence is larger than the maximum intra-specific divergence of Peucedani Decursivi Radix. The nearest distance methods and NJ trees results indicated that Peucedani Radix, Peucedani Decursivi Radix and their adulterants species could be identification clearly. The ITS2 regions can stably and accurately distinguish Peucedani Radix, Peucedani Decursivi Radix and their adulterants.

Objective To observe the effects of residual perfluorocarbon liquid(PFCL) droplets in the anterior chamber in patients after vitreoretinal(VR) surgery for complicated retinal detachments. Methods The study group consisted of nine patients(nine eyes)aged 16~64 in whom droplets of perfluorodeclin liquid(PFDL) appeared in the anterior chamber subsequent to VR surgery for complicated retinal detachments involving scleral bucking, vitrectomy and/or lensectomy, the peeling of pre-retinal membrane, perfluorodecalin injection, and perfluorodeclin liquid-silicone oil or fluid-air exchange. Mean follow-up was 10.3 months. Results Three to 30 droplets of perfluorodeclin liquid were found in the anterior chambers in 9 eyes. There was no corneal complication or inflammatory reactions or blood vessel invasion into the corneal stroma or increased intraocular pressure. Conclusion Residual perfluorodeclin liquid droplets in the anterior chamber are well tolerated and do not induce corneal damage or ocular inflammation.

Tumor 2009;(7):663-667
Objective:The purpose of this study is to investigate the expression of tumor stem cell marker aldehyde dehydrogE-nase 1 (ALDH1) in breast cancer and its clinical significance. Methods:The expression of ALDH1 protein was examined by immunohistochemical staining in 92 breast cancer tissues. The correlation analysis and diseasE-free survival analysis of patients was evaluated based on the clinical follow-up data. Results:Expression of ALDH1 protein had a significant correlation with progesterone receptor (PR) and cerb-B2 (P<0.05), but had no significant correlation with age, tumor size, clinical staging, and lymph node metastasis (P>0.05). The 2-year diseasE-free survival rate of AlDH1-positive patients was lower than that of ALDH1-negative patients (P<0.05). ALDH1-positive patients, who received CEF regimen chemotherapy and hormone therapy, had lower 2-year diseasE-free survival rate than that of ALDH1-negative patients (P<0.05). Conclusion:The decreased diseasE-free survival rate of ALDH1-positive patients is related with drug resistance. ALDH1 could be used as an independent factor for predicting the prognosis of breast cancer.

Objective To observe the diurnal variation of intraocular pressure(IOP)measured with Goldmann applanation tonomoter(GAT)in patients with primary open angle glaucoma(POAG),normal tension glaucoma(NTG)and healthy controls, and to compare the differences of diurnal variation curves between two eyes of each subject and define the distribution of the peak of IOP. Design Prospective case series.Participants POAG patients,NTG patients and healthy controls. Methods The diurnal variation of IOP in the two eyes of each of 30 POAG patients,30 NTG patients and 30 normal controls were investigated and the distributions of the peak IOP were observed.Main Outcome Measure Intraocular pressure. Results Measured with GAT,6.7% right eyes and 10.0% left eyes of normal people,20.0% right eyes and 23.3% left eyes of NTG patients, and 23.3% right eyes and 20.0% left eyes of POAG patients showed peak IOP at the time points of out-office period. Conclusions POAG patients,NTG patients and normal controls have asymmetric IOP diurnal variation. The two eyes of one individual cannot always be treated as the same. The IOP peak can occur at the time point during the out-office time.Measure IOP in office-time only may miss the dynamic information of IOP.
