Objective To study the effect of sub-chronic exposure to deltamethrin(DM) on the behavior of mice in learning and memory and expression of GABAA receptor α1 and γ2 subunits in the hippocampus of mice.Methods 60 female SPF Kunming mice were randomly divided into solvent control group,low-dose group,middle-dose group and high-dose group, 15 mice in each group.The latter three groups were exposured to deltamethrin for 60 days by gavage.Open field test (OFT) was applied to evaluate locomotor activity and exploratory behavior in mice.RQ-PCR was employed to measure the expression of GABAA receptor α1 and γ2 subunits in hippocampus of mice.Results After exposure to DM,the moving distance of the central area in the middle-dose group ((555.1 ± 12.8) cm) and high-dose group ((516.4± 11.88) cm) was significantly higher than that in the solvent control group ((327.3± 117.8) cm, P＜0.05).Numbers of standing in marginal area (F=4.117, P=0.010) and total movement distance (F=2.914, P=0.042) in the high-dose group ((27.9±9.9) times, (3211.3±379.8) cm) were also significantly higher than that in the solvent control group ((15.1 ±8.9)times, (3211.3±379.8)cm).The expression of GABAA receptor α1 subunit mRNA in the middle-dose group and high-dose group was significantly lower than that in the low-dose group and solvent control group(F=8.508, P=0.001) and the expression of GABAA receptor γ2 subunit mRNA in high-dose group was significantly lower than that in the other groups (F=6.738, P=0.002).Conclusion Sub-chronic exposure to DM can damage the function of locomotor activity and exploratory behavior,and inhibit the expression of GABAA receptor α1 and γ2 subunits in the hippocampus of mice.

Objective To investigate the impact of percutaneous coronary interventional (PCI) on the inflammatory indices and postoperative vascular restenosis.Methods This study involved 90 patients undergoing PCI procedures for Coronary artery disease (CAD) compromising a single coronary artery.Fourty healthy individuals with normal findings by coronary angiography were selected as the control group.Before and after PCI or coronary angiography,plasma hs-CRP and IL-6 were measured in all the subjects by immunonephelometry and enzyme-linked immunosorbant assay (ELISA),respectively.Results (1) In the CAD patients,the plasma hs-CRP level was significantly elevated after PCI as compared with the preoperative level((18.69 ±5.14) mg/L vs (14.45 ± 4.32) mg/L,t =1.42,P ＜ 0.01),whereas in the control group,the hs-CRP level underwent no significant changes after coronary angiography((13.59 ±5.99) mg/L vs(12.46 ±5.35) mg/L,t =1.25,P ＞ 0.05).(2) PCI procedures also resulted in significant elevation of plasma IL-6 level in the CAD patients((1.87±0.45) pg/L vs (1.35 ±0.39) pg/L,t =1.33,P＜0.01),but in the control group,IL-6 showed no significant variation after coronary angiography ((1.32 ± 0.41) pg/L vs (1.21 ± 0.38)pg/L,t =1.16,P ＞ 0.05).We observed significant difference of hs-CRP and IL-6 levels between the CAD patient group and the control group (t =4.96,6.61 respectively,P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion Plasma hs-CRP and IL-6 are elevated in CAD patients following PCI procedures.But the roles of elevated hs-CRP and IL-6 in the vascular restenosis following the procedures need further investigation.

ObjectiveTo study the effect of sub-chronic exposure to deltamethrin(DM) on neural behavior and expression of NMDA receptor in hippocampus of mice.Methods 60 Female SPF Kunming mice were divided into 4 groups and given DM 60 days by gavage.Hot-plate,rotarod,grip strength,hing limb landing foot splay were used to examine the sensory and motor change of mice.Autonomic activity test was used for detecting the functional status of the central nervous system in mice.Passive avoidance test for detection of the behavior changes of learning and memory,and RQ-PCR was employed to measure the expression of NMDA receptor in hippocampus of mice.ResultsThe behavior of sensory and motor of mice sub-chronic exposure to deltamethrin did not have changes significantly(P ＞ 0.05 ).In the test of autonomic activity test,the average of autonomic activity times were (93 ± 18) times,(107 ± 13) times,(105 ±22) times.Compared with the control group,the average of autonomic activity times in middle-and high-dose groups were increased significantly (P ＜ 0.05 ).The latent periods in poisoning groups were (175.4 ±38.4) s,(146.4 ±51.2)s,(132.3 ±45.0) s,and the error times were (0.7 ±0.3)times,( 1.4 ± 0.5 ) times,( 1.8 ± 0.9) times.Compared with the control group,latent periods of high-dose group were decreased and the error times of middle-and high-dose groups were increased significantly (P ＜ 0.05 ).Compared with the control group,the relative expression levels of NR1 and NR2A mRNA in hippocampus of middle and high-dose groups were increased significantly (P＜ 0.05 ),and the relative expression level of NR2B mRNA in highdose group was decreased significantly(P ＜ 0.05).ConclusionSub-chronic exposure to DM could increase the excitability of mice,damage the function of learning and memory,and influence the expression of NMDA receptor in hippocampus of mice.

Objective To seek a new method to identify viability of myocardium by adenosine stress echocardiography combined with quantitative tissue velocity imaging(QTVI)and tissue tracking(TT).Methods Fifteen healthy canines were selected to establish the models of acute myocardial infarction and reperfusion by ligating anterior descending branch of coronary artery for 90 minutes and then releasing the artery to get reperfusion.After reperfusion.peak velocity in systole(Vs),peak velocity in isovolumic contraction(VIVC)and the displacement in systole(Ds)were measured on anterior wall and anterior septum at baseline.The 2,3,5-triphenyl tetrazolium chloride(TTC)staining was set as a"gold standard"for defining the viable and non-viable groups.The sensitivity and specificity of assessing myocardial viability were determined with QTVI and TT.Comparison of variables between viable and non-viable group was made by using t test.One way analysis of variance and LSD-t test were used to estimate the significance of differences in different states.Results Compared with baseline,Vs,VIVC and Ds decreased significantly(P＜0.01)after reperfusion in both viable and non-viable group.After administration of adenosine,Vs and Ds increased(P＜0.05),but VIVC didn't change significantly compared with that before administration of adenosine in viable group(P＞0.05).Variables in non-viable group didn't change significantly after administration of adenosine(P＞0.05).By receiver operating characteristic(ROC)analysis for predicting myocardial viability,when a cutoff value of △Vs(%)rate was 17.9,the sensitivity and the specificity was 78.6%and 81.1%,respectively,and when the cutoff value of △Ds(%)rate was 18.4,the sensitivity and the specificity was 75.0%,83.6%,respectively.Combined △Vs(%)with △Ds(%),the sensitivity and specificity to prediction of myocardium viability could reach 94.6%and 68.0%,respectively.Conclusions When the viability of myocardium after myocardial infarction is assessed by using the method of adenosine stress echocardiography with QTVI and TT,the sensitivity and the specificity are greatly enhanced.

Objective To study the clinical features and surgical strategies of thoracic spinal stenosis caused by ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament(OPLL).Methods From January 2004 to March 2009,21 cases of thoracic spinal stenosis casued by OPLL,including 13 males and 8 females,received surgical treatments.Those cases aged from 34 to 71 years,with an average of 51.2 years old.The courses of disease were from 2 to 50 months,averaged 11 months.The lesions located in upper thoracic(T1-T4)for 4 cases,in middle thoracic(T5-T8)for 7 cases,in lower thoracic(T9-T12)for 10 cases.Nine cases were associated with ossification of ligamentum flavum(OLF),and 8 cases combined with cervical OPLL.Eleven cases received laminectomy and 10 cases received anterolateral decompression.Results The operation time was 90 to 240 min for posterior laminectomy with an average of 140 min,and 110 to 360 min for anterolateral decompression with an average of 240 min.All cases had no worse postoperative symptoms,neurological complications,subarachnoid cavity or wound infection.Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)score was 8 to 15 with an average of 9.17±1.63 in 6 months after surgery.Nerve function improvement was excellent for 8 cases,good for 6 cases,fair for 5 cases and poor for 2 cases.The excellent and good rate was 66.7%.JOA score was 8-15,averaged 10.23±1.64,in 12 months after surgery.Nerve function improvement was excellent for 8 cases,good for 7 cases,fair for 4 cases,and poor for 2 cases.The excellent and good rate was 71.4%.Conclusion Thoracic spinal stenosis result from OPLL,which often combine with cervical OPLL and OLF,often show multiple manifestations.Posterior laminectomy and anterolateral decompression are suitable for those conditions.

Objective To explore the surgical strategies of thoracic spinal stenosis with dural ossification. Methods One-hundred and eight patients with thoracic spinal stenosis were treated. Dural ossification was found in 29 cases during operation from January 2004 to June 2008. There were 19 males and 10females, with an average age of 56.4 years (42-74 years). The course of disease was 13 months (2-48months). The lesion was located in T1-T4 in 4 cases, T5-T8 in 5 cases, and T9-T12 in 20 cases. All the patients were treated by posterior lamina resection. Both ossificated dural and ossificated yellow ligament were resected in 16 patients. Decompression was performed with partial ossification remaining on dural surface in 13 cases. JOA score was used to evaluate the outcomes 1, 3 and 12 months after operation. Results The average operation time was 140 min, and average bleeding was 300 ml. Dural incisions were repaired with a wound drainage in 11 cases. Seven cases appeared cerebrospinal fluid leakage which healed in 3-5 days.Dural incisions were not repaired without wound drainage in 5 cases. Cerebrospinal fluid leakage occurred in these cases healed in 5-7 days. Thirteen cases treated with floating method did not appear cerebrospinal fluid leakage. All patients did not undergo subarachnoid infection and the aggravation of original nervous system symptoms. According to JOA score, all patients were evaluated as excellent in 22 cases, good in 5 and fair in 2 cases, and excellent and good rate was 93%. Conclusion For thoracic spinal stenosis with dural ossification, resection of both ossificated dural and ossificated yellow ligament and complete decompression with partial ossification remaining on dural surface is safe and reliable. Dural ossification does not influence the prognosis, but increase operative difficulty and risk.

Objective To study the effect of sub-chronic exposure to dehamethrin(DM) on the behavior of mice in learning and memory.Methods 60 Female SPF Kunming mice were randomly divided into 4 groups and given DM by gavaging for 60 days.Morris water maze (MWM) was used to evaluate spatial memory in mice.Results After exposure to DM,the escape latency of the solvent control group and the treatment groups were (12.20±6.5)s,(14.99±5.4) s,(15.64±8.3)s,(22.71±6.2)s on the fifth day.The escape latency of the high-dose group was higher than those of the low-dose group (P=0.0041) and the solvent control group (P=0.019) in the navigation test.The number of crossing position of the platform in the high-dose group ((2.93± 1.53)times) and the middle-dose group ((3.40± 1.12) times) were lower than that in the solvent control group ((5.87 ± 1.55) times) and the low-dose group ((4.90± 1.41)times)(P＜0.05).Conclusion Sub-chronic exposure to DM can damage the spatial learning and memory of mice.

Objective To study the normal values of blood pressure in healthy full-term infants in the first 7 days of life,and to determine the critical hypertension and hypotension in newborn infants.Methods Omni-Trak~(TM)NVS monitor with DINAMAP was used to measure the blood pressure.Systolic,diastolic and mean blood pressure were measured every day by DLNAMAP in a cohort of 50 healthy full-term infants in the first 7 days of life.Results 1.Systolic,diastolic and mean blood pressure of healthy full-term infants were significantly influenced with the age of birth.2.Stepwise linear multiple regressions was used to examine the multiple correlations among days of life,birth weight and gestational age.3.Optimal regression equations were built respectively.SBP=32.4+0.7X_1+(3.7X_2+)(0.6)X_3(mm Hg).DBP=13.1+ 0.6X_1+2.9X_2+0.6X_3(mm Hg).MAP=17.3+0.4X_1+2.4X_2+0.8X_3(mm Hg).(3.MAP=)(DBP+)(0.45)(SBP-DBP)(mm Hg).4.The critical hypertension and hypotension in newborn infants were obtained.Conclusions (Du)ring the first 7 days of life,there is a progressive rise in blood pressure of healthy full-term infants.There are linear reliance correlations between systolic,diastolic,mean blood pressure and day of life,birth weight gestational age.The critical hypertension and hypotension in newborn infants is important for clinic diagnosis.
