Objective:To investigate the effect of TGF-? on the expression of type Ⅰ inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate receptor in WB rat liver epithelial cells.Methods:The expression of type Ⅰ inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate receptor protein and mRNA were detected by Western blot and RT-PCR in WB rat liver epithelial cells in vitro stimulating with TGF-?.Results:The expression level of type Ⅰ inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate receptor protein and mRNA in WB rat liver epithelial cells were both increased after stimulating with TGF-? in several time points and reached the highest at 8 h stimulated, and then decreased.Conclusion:TGF-? enhance the IP_3R1 protein and mRNA expression in WB rat liver epithelial cells.

Objective:To investigate the effect of Vitapex paste in the root canal for deciduous teeth with chronic apical periodontitis.Methods:200 children with chronic apical periodontitis were selected and divided into two groups.The observation group (108 cases)was given Vitapex paste.The control group (92 cases) was given Zinc oxide iodoform paste.The effect of Vitapex paste in root canal for deciduous teeth with chronic apical periodontitis was evaluated by filling quality after 1 month'treatment,the VAS scores before and after treatment,long-term curative effect were compared between two groups.Results:After 1 month'treatment,the suitable filling rate of observation group was higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistical significance in the VAS scores between two groups (P＞0.05).After 1 week'and 1 month'treatment,the pain feeling were alleviated in two groups and significantly lighter in the observation group(P＜0.05).After 6 months' follow-up,the success rate was 96.3％ in the observation group and 87.0％ in the control group,the success rate of observation group was higher than that of the control group (P＜0.05).Conclusion:The filling process of Vitapex paste was simple and easy,which had a good therapeutic effect on chronic apical periodontitis of deciduous teeth and could relieve the toothache of patients.

Atopic dermatitis （AD） is the most common chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by relapsing pruritic eczema-like lesion and induced by genetic predisposition， epidermal barrier disruption and dysregulation of the immune system. AD is a complex and systemic disorder associated with a variety of clinical features. Patients with AD are at risk of developing atopic comorbidities， such as food allergy， allergic rhinitis， asthma and allergic conjunctivitis etc. AD and its comorbidities may share a common pathogenic pathway， so biological agents designed to inhibit specific molecular targets of immune responses can have an impact on comorbidities by changing inflammatory state. This review summarizes the research progress of the biotherapy in the treatment of AD and atopic comorbidities.

OBJECTIVETo identify the antithrombin (AT) phenotype and gene mutation of a kindred with hereditary antithrombin deficiency.

METHODSPlasma AT activity and AT antigen level of the propositus and his kindred members were determined with chromogenic substrate method and immunoassay, respectively. All the seven exons and intron-exon boundaries of antithrombin gene were analyzed by PCR and direct sequencing of amplified PCR products from the propositus.

RESULTSThe propositus AT antigen level was normal but his AT activity was only 65% of normal value suggesting that he had type II AT deficiency. A heterozygous G13830A mutation in exon 6 resulting in Arg393His missense mutation in his AT polypeptide was identified in the propositus. The same phenotype and gene mutation were found in other 3 kindred members.

CONCLUSIONThe type II AT deficiency found in this kindred is caused by heterozygous G13830A mutation in AT gene.
