Objective] To summarize the academic thinking and clinical experience of febrile disease of Shao school inherited by Professor Shen Yuanliang. [Methods]This article discusses the formation and development of febrile disease of Shao school, presents Professor Shen Yuanliang's contribution to inheriting the academic thinking of febrile disease of Shao school, and his clinical experiences and prescriptions. The article also illustrates and analyses a medical record. [Results]Professor Shen Yuanliang inherits the academic thinking and clinical experience of febrile disease of Shao school. He pays attention to the inspection and abdomen examination, eliminating the pathogenic factor to treat exogenous diseases, and regulating spleen and stomach to treat endogenous diseases. He prefers using herbs with the feature of light, regulating and tonifying formula, and focuses on the care after the recuperation. The case mentioned is perfectly recovered after medication. [Conclusion]Professor Shen Yuanliang has the distinguished characteristics in therapy and the rich experience, and the clinical efficacy is obvious.

Objective To investigate the relationship between the disorder of learning and memory in lead rats and the argnine vasopressin (AVP) and the somatotatin (SS) of hippocampus. Methods Sixty healthy 2-month old Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into normal control group and lead group. Normal control group was given deionized water and the lead group was given 0.1% lead acetate deionized water for 3 months to make chronic lead rat. Learning and memory ability was tested by the Y-maze test. The content of AVP and SS in hippocampus were tested by the immunohistochemical method. Results The learning memory ability and the content of AVP and SS in hippocampus CA1 section of the lead group were degraded obviously than the control group(all P0.05)in hippocampus CA3 section of the lead group were degraded also. Conclusion The disorder of the learning and memory of the lead exposure rats may be due to the decrease of the content of AVP and SS in hippocampus.

Objective To investigate the association of ret gene rearrangement mutation with the pathogenesis of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). Methods Twenty-seven cases of PTC were analysed for expression of ret gene rearrangement (ret/PTCs) by multiplex-PCR at first, and then ret/PTC1-3 were identified by identification-PCR (ID-PCR). Finally, the specific ret/PTC was affirmed by automated direct sequencing. Ten specimens of malignant thyroid tissues of other histological types, 33 benign thyroid lesions and 30 normal thyroid specimens beside tumor (as the control) were also included. Results (1) Fifteen samples showed positive ret/PTCs, 11 of which harboured ret/PTC1,3 were positive for ret/PTC3, and 1 for ret/PTC2. All the rearrangements were clearly identified by automated direct sequencing of ID-PCR products. (2) All the 15 ret/PTC-positive tissue samples were histologically confirmed to be PTC. The prevalence of the tumor-specific ret rearrangements in 27 patients with PTC is 55.6% (15/27). (3) No significant difference was found regarding the gender and age of the patients, tumor size and metastasis of neck lymph node. 33.3% (2/6) of the PTC with invasion of extrathyroidal soft tissue were ret/PTC-positive, as compared with 66.7%(4/6) for ret/PTC-negative group (P

Objective To evaluate the influence of infusing salviate milttionrrhize via portal vein on the pressure of portal vein of cirrhotic patients(FPP).Methods 46 patients of fiver cirrhosis were included this stuby. All cases were pierced with guiding of ultrasound tape B a tube with locks into a branch of portal vein and their FPP was measured. Then 20ml salviate milttionrrhize mixed with 250ml glucose was infused via portal vein once daily for 2 weeks and measure FPP after the treatment. Results FPP declined a value from 8cm H2O(1 cm H2O=0.098 kPa)t026CnlH20.(P<0.05).Conclusion The infusion of salviate milttionrrhize via portal vein can effectively decline FPP.

Objective To study the effects of Hydergine on expression of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors in hippocampus and actions of mice with ischemia-reperfusion injury. Methods 36 mice were randomly divided into model group,Hydergine group and sham-operated group. The models of ischemia-reperfusion injury were made by knotting bilateral common carotid arteries. The behavioral abnormalities were investigated by step-down test and water maze test, and the expressions of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors in neurons of hippocampus were observed by immunohistochemistry technique. Results Compared with model group, the performance records of learning and memory in Hydergine group were better (all P

OBJECTIVE To understand the current situation of infection management in outpatient stomatology department of our city, and to further strengthen the hospital infection standardization management. METHODS The hospital infection management was investigated in outpatient stomatology department of 18 medical institutions. RESULTS The qualified rate of the city level hospital infection management was 75-100%,and that of the county area level was 40-80%.The disinfection and isolation were not standardized, the standardized prevention consciousness among medical staff was weak, and the hand cleaning and disinfection was insufficient. CONCLUSIONS The stomatology department has a hidden danger to emergence of hospital infection, its infection management should be further strengthened.

AIM:Targeting of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) gene,we aim to construct FAK shRNA lentiviral vector and to identify its function on the growth of leukemic cells.METHODS:FAK shRNA was chemically synthesized, and inserted into a GFP-lentiviral plasmid through molecular biology methods. After packaged and concentrated, the lentiviral-FAK-shRNA-vector was transduced into a human leukemic cell line.FAK gene expression was detected by reverse transcriptional PCR and Western blotting.Cell apoptosis was measured by Annexin V labeling.RESULTS:The results showed that FAK shRNA was successfully inserted into the lentival vector, and the infection efficiency varied from 10% to 25%.Compared to the control vector (lentival vector without FAK shRNA),FAK shRNA inhibited the expression of FAK mRNA and protein by 40% and 70%,respectively.Moreover,the results of apoptosis experiment showed that the percentages of Annexin V+ cells in control vector group and FAK shRNA group were (4.19 ? 0.36) % and (8.48 ? 0.58) % respectively, the difference was statistically significant (P

Chinese Journal of Immunology 2001;0(10):-
Objective:To investigate the effects of sensitized sera on bone marrow transplantation and clarify the role of antibody in the process of rejection. Methods:Two hundred microlitres sensitized sera or non-sensitized sera were injected into normal BALB/c one day before transplantation.Ten millions (1?107) bone marrow cells from C57BL/6 were transfused to the recipients after lethal irradiation. The donor-reactive antibodies in recipients before transplantation were measured by complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) method. Moreover, the survival analysis and engraftment evaluation of the recipients were carried post transplantation. Results:The CDC results showed that donor-reactive antibodies existed in the recipients which had received sensitized sera transfusion.Eighty percent (80%) of the recipients received sensitized sera transfusion died of bone marrow failure about 10 days post transplantation, while the recipients received non-sensitized sera transfusion were long-term alive.Furthermore, the hematopoietic recovery and percentage of donor chimera analysis declined along with time in the sensitized sera transfusion recipients, and there were significant differences compared with those in the non-sensitized sera transfusion recipients (P
