Alzheimer's disease (AD) and other aging-related diseases have become an important public health issue in China. However, current clinical drugs have failed to reverse the pathological process of AD. The holistic approach of traditional Chinese medicine offers advantages in improving cognitive function in AD through multiple molecular pathways, and may have potential for preventing AD. This paper summarizes the effects of classical traditional Chinese medicine and its active components in the improvement of AD-related cognitive dysfunction and describes the functional targets and related molecular mechanisms. This may have significance for the prevention and treatment of AD through multi-target intervention.

Chinese Mental Health Journal 1991;0(02):-
Objective: Stress, coping and mental health of the different educational level groups, the different gender groups and the different ages groups were studied. Methods: Ss (N=4 745) of a group corporation evaluated their stress levels, ways of coping and mental health with a self-developed Social Stressor Questionnaire, Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire and SCL-90 scale. Results: The lower educated groups scored lowest in social stressor, positive coping (PC), negative coping (NC) and SCL-90.The higher educated groups scored highest in social stressor, PC and NC, Man scored higher in social stressor, PC and NC, but lower in SCL-90 than women. The younger groups scored higher in social stressor and SCL-90 than older group. Conclusion: The result showed the latter education can improve mental health.

Objective To assess the methodological and ethical quality of randomized controlled trials (RCT) of non-small cell lung cancer ( NSCLC ) in China. Methods The methodological and ethical quality on RCT of NSCLC, covered in CBM, CNKI, VIP and Wanfang was assessed according to the Jadad Scale and Berdeu Scale respectively. Results The average methodological and ethical quality was 62. 24% according to the Jadad Scale and was 18. 79% according to the Berdeu Scale. Correlation analysis showed that the methodological quality was closely correlated with the ethical quality, except that of curative effect of invasive therapy (OR=1. 064, 95%CI:0. 832-1. 361, P>0. 05). Conclusion The methodological and ethical quality of RCT of NSCLC in China is low. The methodological quality is positively correlated with the ethical quality.

Objective To study the feasibility of microsurgical technique to denervate sympathetic of femoral artery in rabbit, providing a reliable animal experimental model for further study of the mechanism of neuralization in bone tissue engineering. Methods From July, 2014 to July, 2015, 21 New Zealand white rabbits were divided into 4 groups randomly: the control group (n =3), the 4 weeks group (n =6), the 8 weeks group (n =6) and the 12 weeks group (n =6).Bilateral femoral arteries of the 21 rabbits were exposed.Adventitia of femoral arteries in 3 test groups were removed for about 2cm by microsurgical technique, whereas adventitia of the control group remained intact without any treatment. The arteries samples were collected at 4 weeks, 8 weeks and 12 weeks after treatment. The structure of vascular were indicated by hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining, and the distribution and volume of the sympathetic fibers were evidenced by glyoxylic acid staining and the expression of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), the marked protein of sympathetic. Results The adventitia of 3 test groups were invisible or lost most of it while the control group remained intact shown by HE staining. For glyoxylic acid staining, the fluorescence intensity value of the control group, 4 weeks group, 8 weeks and 12 weeks were 0.08124 ± 0.00260, 0.02920 ± 0.00206, 0.02661 ± 0.00233, 0.03094 ± 0.00211, respectively (n =6).The distribution and fluorescence intensity of sympathetic nerve were both significantly reduced in test groups compared to the control group (P < 0.05).And there was no statistical difference among the 3 test groups (P > 0.05).Semi-quantitative analysis of the expression of TH was 0.8626 ± 0.03519, 0.3631 ± 0.03019, 0.3964 ± 0.02239, 0.3487 ± 0.02356 respectively, which showed the same tendency as glyoxylic acid staining test. Conclusion Microsurgical technique is promising as an ideal method for the local denervation of sympathetic nerve from artery system as it can significantly reduce sympathetic fibers on adventitia without regeneration during the experimental period.

Journal of Practical Radiology 2016;32(8):1233-1236
Objective To analyze computed tomography imaging features of primary adrenal schwannoma. Methods The clinical and radiological data of six cases of adrenal schwannoma confirmed by histopathology were analyzed in this study. Results All six cases of adrenal schwannoma were well-circumscribed,round-like or oval-like,solid and cystic tumors,in which two cases were with calcification, and three cases with septations. On the enhanced CT images, all six tumors displayed progressive enhancement. Conclusion Adrenal schwannoma usually presents a well-defined heterogeneous mass with cystic degeneration, sepations, calcification and characteristic progressive contrast enhancement.

OBJECTIVETo compare therapeutic effects between patella replacement and patella osteotomy in total knee arthroplasty.
METHODSFrom April 2004 to April 2011, 52 patients (54 knees) were enrolled in the clinical trail of total knee arthroplasty, who received patella replacement (24 knees, including 13 males and 11 females, ranging in age from 53 to 78 years old or patella osteotomy (30 knees, including 16 males and 12 females, ranging in age from 55 to 79 years old. The average follow-up period was 56 months, ranging from 20 to 80 months. The American HSS Score for knee, the Feller score for patella, range of motion (ROM) for knee, patient satisfaction and complications related to the patella were used to evaluate therapeutic effects.
RESULTSIn the patella replacement group, the preoperative and final follow-up HSS scores of patients were 38.4 +/- 8.2 and 91.2 +/- 8.6 respectively; Feller scores were 13.6 +/- 6.2 and 25.2 +/- 4.2; scores of anterior knee pain were 3.9 +/- 3.2 and 11.2 +/- 3.7; ROM were (78 +/- 26) degrees and(108 +/- 18) degrees. In the patella osteotomy group, the preoperative and final follow-up HSS scores of patients were 39.5 +/- 8.4 and 91.0 +/- 8.5 respectively;Feller scores were 13.4 +/- 6.5 and 25.6 +/- 4.0; scores of anterior knee pain were 3.7 +/- 3.1 and 11.3 +/- 3.6; ROM were (76 +/- 27) degrees and (110 +/- 19) degrees. In the patella replacement group, patient's satisfaction was 91%, and complication related to the patella was 16.7%; in the patella osteotomy group, patient's satisfaction was 89%, and complications related to the patella was 10.0%. There were no statistically significant differeneces in final follow-up HSS scores, Feller scores, scores of anterior knee pain and ROM between the two groups. However, there was no significant difference of patient's satisfaction between them. There was statistically significant differenece of patella-related complications between the two groups, and the complication rate in the patella replacement group was higher than that in the patella osteotomy group.
CONCLUSIONTotal knee arthroplasty with patella replacement or patella osteotomy dramatically relieves pain and improves the knee function. Patella-related complications are associated with its treatment methods, but post-operative anterior knee pain and patient's satisfaction are not related to treatment methods of the patella.

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2006;0(07):-
Objective To prohc into the distinguished feature of postoperation of early inflammatory intesti- nal and the principle of diagnosis and treatment. Methods 23 cases of early intestinal postoperatively treated during the year of 2003 to 2005 were analysed. Results In the 23 cases,20 of them were treated conservatively while 3 of them were treated operatively, both of which were recovered and dischanged from hospital. Conclusion The early inflammatory intestinal postoperatively is a kind of special one in which both mechanical factor and dynamic factor could be found. Most of the patients could be cured by conservative way and they should surely be in closed observa- tion of the condition in order to be handled properly.
