The outline of the Prototype Algorithm, software package for computerized electrocardiography, is described. The developed module-based ECG analysis program consists of system interface, beat detection, feature extraction, rhythm analysis and diagnostic module. The overall evaluation of the proposed algorithm was done using the CSE library. The CSE diagnostic library and evaluation methods, which developed for evaluation of ECG analysis program are introduced. The prototype' s beat marker position is satisfied with recommended range of CSE median results. The performance of proposed algorithm compared with clinical truth and commercial programs. Now is the time to start to modify and revise the program in order to achieve the reliable performance, responding to the complaints of clinicians and making use of the EGG database, which is developing continuously.

BACKGROUND: To evaluate the changes in the radiation dose and temperature distribution on irradiated egg albumin and nanoparticle (Fe3O4) powder mixed egg albumin. METHODS: A new type of phantom was designed by fabricating a 30x30x30cm acryl square inside a 3x3x3cm small square and dividing it into two parts. In the control group, only egg albumin was irradiated, and in the test group, 25nm 20mg/cc, 25nm 40mg/cc, and 1 um 40 mg/cc nanoparticles with egg albumin were irradiated. The radiation isodose distributions and temperature changes were then observed. RESULTS: No significant changes were observed in the radiation dose and temperature distribution. CONCLUSION: The nanoparticles were considered not to have had any effect on the radiation dose and temperature distribution under the experimental conditions. Further studies can be conducted based on the changes in the mixture material.

Electrogastrography (EGG) is a non-invasive method for the measurement of gastric myoelectrical activity. It was first discovered in 1921 and popularized in 1990s. EGG is attractive because it is non-invasive. However, due to its non-invasive nature, there have also been controversies regarding validity and applications of EGG. The aim of this review is to discuss the methodologies, validation and applications of EGG. Pros and cons of EGG will also be discussed in detail. First, the gastric slow wave and its correlation with gastric motility are presented. The association between gastric dysrhythmia and impaired gastric motility is reviewed. Secondly the method for recording the electrogastrogram is presented in detail and pitfalls in the recording and analysis of EGG are discussed. Thirdly, findings reported in the literature demonstrating the accuracy of EGG in recording gastric slow waves and gastric dysrhythmia are reviewed and discussed. The correlation of the electrogastrogram with gastric contraction is carefully discussed. Finally, applications of EGG in a few major areas are reviewed.

The study aimed to determine the optimal mixing ratio of two different amounts of Letinus edodes powder and egg for preparation of pasta. The complete analysis was conducted using the Design Expert 7 program (State-Easy, Minneapolis, MN). Response surface methodology revealed 10 experimental points, including two replicates for L. edodes powder and egg. L. edodes pasta formulation was optimized using rheology. Lightness and redness displayed a lineal model pattern, whereas yellowness was represented by a quadratic model. The sensory evaluation parameters of texture, color, flavor, appearance and overall quality showed significant differences for color (p<0.01), flavor (p<0.05), texture (p<0.05) and overall quality (p<0.05). All sensory parameters showed significant values in a quadratic model. The optimum formulations processed by numerical and graphical optimization were determined as 15 g of L. edodes powder and 37.5 g of egg.

Since the volume gives a better comparison of size than thickness, the volume of the zona pellucida was also calcldated by substraction of the volume of the inner zonal cavity from the volume of the total egg and compared with the zona pellucida thickness. All calculations were made by computor (CEIR timesharing computor). The zona pellucida of the tubal ova is thicker than that of the oocyte, with the zona pellucida of the fertilized egg being definite1y thinner when compared with unfertilized eggs. This phenomenon of decreased thickness in the fertilized egg may be associated with the zona reaction. The entry of the first sperm into the egg initiates a reaction in the zona pellucida the effect of which is to predude the entry of additional sperm-Braden, Austin and David (1954) defined this phenomenon as the zona reaction. The results of anatomical changes in the zona pe1lucida may also be a phenomenon such as a "zona reaction".
