Embryonic stem cells (ESCs) show potential prospect of wide application in establishing cardiac pharmacological model system, forming three-dimensional cardiac tissues and constructing biological pacemaker. The process of ESCs differentiating into cardiomyocytes is to simulate heart growth and development in vitro. The cases of transplanting ESCs into animal models confirm that the cardiac function is improved. Moreover, the research and exploitation of tissue engineered cardiac muscle tissue with vessel system brings hope for clinical cardiac muscle restoration. ESC-derived pacemaker can functionally integrate with quiescent ventricular muscle cells to induce rhythmic electrical and contractile activities in vitro. However, the immunological rejection limits its clinical application. Although ESCs have strong differentiation potential, the problems such as the differentiation process towards cardiomyocytes, ESC induction and signal regulatory pathway, and whether induced cardiomyocytes can substitute in vivo cardiomyocytes still need exploration.

Objective To investigate the change of event-related potentials(ERPs)N400 and its significances in children with Tic disorders.Methods N400 of 35 children with Tic disorders(case group)and 20 healthy children(control group)were taken.The results of case group and control group were compared with each other.Results N400 latency of the case group was(706.87?198.99)ms,and the amplitude was(26.12?13.64)?V;N400 latency of the control group was(485.75?85.76)ms,the amplitude was(22.35?19.76)?V.There was obvious difference in latency between two groups(P0.05).Conclusion ERPs N400 latency of children with Tic disorders prolong obviously which shows cognitive dysfunction in the patients.

Objective To observe the effect of catgut embedding(CE) at "Shimen"(CV 5) on the endometrial receptivity,pinopodes expression of the endometrial surface and leukaemia inhibitory factor(LIF) immunoactivity during periimplantation period.Methods Thirty Kunming mice were randomly divided into control,CE of "Shimen"(CV 5,CE-CV 5) and medication groups(n=10/group).For mice of CE-CV 5 group,a piece of catgut was embedded into the subcutaneous tissue of "Shimen"(CV 5) on the day when the vagina-discharged epistom was found(pregnancy day 1,Pd 1).On Pd 4,mifepristone(0.1 mL,diluted in propylene glycol) was subcutaneously injected into CV 5 in rats of medication group.The expression of endometrial pinopodes(sampled on Pd 5) was observed by scanning electron microscopy.The immunoactivity of LIF of the endometrium was detected by immunohistochemistry.Results Compared with control group,the mean optical density(OD) values of LIF in CE-CV 5 and medication groups decreased significantly(P0.05).Electronic microscopic observation showed 1) abundant mature pinopodes on the endometrial surface,with a large number of well-stacked ecphyma in control group;2) fewer pinopodes and well-arranged smooth epithelial cells on the endometrial surface in catgut embedding group;and 3) no pinopodes found in the endometrium of medication group.Conclusion Catgut embedding at "Shimen"(CV 5) can suppress the establishment of the mouse endometrial receptivity,which is possibly related to its effect in inhibiting the expression of endometrial pinopodes and LIF.

Objective To investigate the prevalence rate and related factors of excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) in the elderly. Methods Epworth Sleep Scales (ESS) was used to make a randomized questionnaire among the retired elderly. Results 1 000 questionnaires were released and totally 768 qualified answers were returned. The mean score of ESS was 4.22?0.10 and the score ≥8 was used as an abmormal value. The prevlence rate of EDS in the elderly group was 10.9%. Regression analysis was done based on ESS score as dependent variable, and age, sex, duration of sleep, difficulty in falling asleep, early wakeup, daytime sleepiness, habitual snoring and loud unstable snoring as independent variables. Results The top five allergens based on the positive rate ranked in descending order were potassium dichromate(43?97%),nickel sulfate (43?26%),cobalt chloride(36?17%),mixture of hydroxy benzoic acid(23?40%)and fragrance mix(20?57%).The positive suspicious cosmetics ranked in ascending order included body spray(80?00%),freckle cream(56?00%),liquid products(38?89%),cleaning supplies (31?58%)and skin care cream(25?62%).Conclusion During the cosmetic patch test for the patients with contact dermatitis,the nurses should conduct mental care,carefully observe the patients and make instructions to them on cosmetic health knowledge.
