Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing 2016;46(4):572-582
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to construct and test a structural equation model for pressure ulcer prevention action by clinical nurses. The Health Belief Model and the Theory of Planned Behavior were used as the basis for the study. METHODS: A structured questionnaire was completed by 251 clinical nurses to analyze the relationships between concepts of perceived benefits, perceived barriers, attitude, subjective norm, perceived control, intention to perform action and behavior. SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 programs were used to analyze the efficiency of the hypothesized model and calculate the direct and indirect effects of factors affecting pressure ulcer prevention action among clinical nurses. RESULTS: The model fitness statistics of the hypothetical model fitted to the recommended levels. Attitude, subjective norm and perceived control on pressure ulcer prevention action explained 64.2% for intention to perform prevention action. CONCLUSION: The major findings of this study indicate that it is essential to recognize improvement in positive attitude for pressure ulcer prevention action and a need for systematic education programs to increase perceived control for prevention action.

Journal of Korean Academy of Fundamental Nursing 2001;8(1):24-34
This study was done to identify the effectiveness of applying a "Nursing Process Program" to the nursing students' clinical practice. The data collection period was from September 2000 to January 2001, and the subjects of the study were 39 students who were doing clinical practice in the ICU. The results are as follows; 1. Most subjects had a personal computer, had experience in using computers for one year and usually did word processing and internet, and wanted computerization of nursing work. The average results of the questions on the need for, and the effectiveness of applying a "Nursing Process Program" to clinical practice were, on five point scales, 4.07 and 4.21 respectively . 2. There were no significant differences in the mean scores for subjects' attitudes toward computers and computer anxiety between before and after using a "Nursing Process Program". 3. The total case study frequency using a "Nursing Process Program" was 68, and "Risk for infection" was the most frequent nursing diagnosis.

Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing Administration 2013;19(2):304-314
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to analyze factors affecting burnout among clinical nurses according to Positive Psychological Capital. METHODS: The study design was a descriptive survey and questionnaires were collected from 412 clinical nurses who worked in a general hospital in "J" city. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson Correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression. RESULTS: In Model individual characteristics accounted for 27.8% of the influence on burnout. In model II with the addition of the 4 factors; Self-efficacy, Hope, Resilience, Optimism, individual characteristics accounted for 48.5% of the influence on burnout. Optimism and Resilience of the Positive Psychological Capital sub-variables were statistically useful as factors influencing burnout. CONCLUSION: The results indicate that it is necessary to develop active human resource management and educational programs to decrease burnout and strengthen the Positive Psychological Capital of the nurses.

Korean Journal of Occupational Health Nursing 2017;26(3):151-159
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of service orientation on the organizational commitment and management performance of public health center workers. METHODS: A cross-sectional survey design was used. A convenience sample of 280 workers was recruited from six public health centers in J province, South Korea. Data were collected by self-report questionnaires, including general characteristics, service orientation, organizational commitment, and management performance. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and hierarchical regression using the SPSS 22.0 program. RESULTS: The service orientations explained 34.1%of the variance in organizational commitment and explained 31.4% of the variance in management performance. The service orientation was a significant predictor of organizational commitment and management performance. CONCLUSION: The results of this study suggest that better strategies for service orientations will be helpful to enhance organizational commitment and management performance in the public health center.

Korean Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2005;48(9):2119-2124
OBJECTIVE: To study prevalence rate of HBsAg positive parturient women in Korea and compare different rates according to the locations of delivery. METHODS: Total 848 institutions which reported more than 100 deliveries during 2001, were included for this study. Designed questionnaire were used to study the numbers of HBsAg positive parturients and total deliveries. The survey was conducted by mail, telephone and visit. Total 279,734 deliveries (55.2% of estimated total deliveries) were obtained to complete the study. RESULTS: Prevalence rates of HBsAg positive parturient women in Korea were 3.23% and 3.3% in 2001 and 2002 respectively. Cheju area showed highest prevalence rates. Women delivering in urban area showed higher prevlance rate than those in rural area. CONCLUSION: Prevalence rates of HBsAg positive parturient women were 3.3% in 2001-2002 and the rates sustained around 3.5% since 1992 in Korea.

Cervical cancer and its precursors are caused principally, if not exclusively, by HPV infection and HPV DNA is found in more than 90% of cervical cancers. Cervical cytology is limited by its false negativity and this may be supplimented by other adjunctive test such as HPV test. It is therefore important to explore the use of HPV DNA detection as a primary or supplementary screening method and to determine whether HPV typing can be used as a predictor of a lesion's clinical behavior. Cervical cytology and Hybrid Capture test for HPV detection were performed in 450 asymtomatic wornen visited Health Care Center in Kangnam St. Mary's Hospital, and none of whom was believed to have current cervical disease. The Papanicolaou cytology results were classified by The Bethesda System : 333(74.%) women were classified to within normal limit, 19(4.2%) benign reactive change, 38(8.4%) ASCUS, 59(13%) low grade SIL, and only one woman high grade SIL. Twenty five of 450(5.6%) women showed HPV infection by Hybid Capture test. Among 98 wornen with abnormal Papanicolaou cytology, 16(16.3%) women showed HPV DNA positivity. (continue)
