1.Endoscopy and histopathological characteristics of colorectal tumors: a review of 150 cases at Post Hospital
Journal of Practical Medicine 2000;383(6):36-38
From 1/1998 to 12/1999, 646 patients underwent colorectoscopy, included 321 men (49.6%) and 325 women (50.4%). Out of these patients, 614 were endoscopied up to caecum. 150 patients with colorectal and anal tumors were further studied by histopathology to confirm diagnosis. Main findings: Tumors in colon and sigmal colon have high rate: polyp 38.81%, cancer 40.0%. Rate of cancerous polyp was higher in patients who have more than one polyp. Hyper-proliferative polyp had high rate of 53.41%, while rate of adenoma polyp was 39.77%. These cases should be monitored periodically after polyp removal because of high potential malignance. Most of malignant tumors were adenocarcinomas, occupied 89.71%. Other cancers were uncommon

2.Some assessments via 2524 cases of gastroduodenal endoscopy at Post Hospital during 3 years
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):14-17
The study was conducted on 2524 cases with symptoms of gastroduodenal conditions. Age of patients ranged from 7 to 86 years old. The participants underwent physical examination and gastroduodenal endoscopy. It was found that there was no difference between post staffs and those of other industries in rate of gastritis, gastroduodenal ulcer or gastric cancer as well as in rate of Helicobacter pylori infection. Endoscopic diagnosis is high consistent with histological findings in inflammatory and ulcer conditions and low consistent in normal, polyp and gastric cancer condition. Rate of bowel dysplasia is 22.9% and of heteroplasia is 6.26%. Rate of patients with combination dysplasia and heteroplasia is 3.15%. There was not relationship between rate of dysplasia and heteroplasia with age. Most of patients with bowel dysplasia and heteroplasia have high rate of HP infection

3.Relation between H.pylory infection and intestinal dysplasia and heteroplasia in patients with gastroduodenal ulceration.
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):39-41
2,282 patients with gastric syndrome indicated the gastric endoscopy and histopathological test in the poste-telecommunication hospital during 1996-1998 have shown that the rate of heteroplasia among patients with gastritis, pepsic ulceration, duodenal ulceration, gastro-duodenal ulceration and anastomosis stoma were 18%; 34.3%, 25%; 25%, 27.2%, respectively. The rate of dysplasia among patients with gastritis, pepsic ulceration, duodenal ulceration, gastro-duodenal ulceration and connective stoma were 3.31%; 15.09%; 8.63%; 8.33%; 22%, respectively. It is not found that there was a relation betwween age with heteroplasia and dysplasia but dysplasia and heteroplasia ococcurredn the most of patients with possitive H.pylori.
