1.Status of S.aureas carrying in the surgical patients and the relations between the infection of incision and the existence of S. aureus in the nose
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):38-39
Having studied the results, we realised: -Incidence of nasal S.aureus carriage in the surgical patients is 36.1%, of skin S. aureus carriage is 9.6%. - Incidence of S. aureus infection of incision on patients who carry this microorganism in nose is 8.2% and do not carry it is 2.3%. - S. aureus patient ‘s nasal carriage is really the risk factor for transmission of this microoganism to skin and causing infection of incision, including the clean operations. - Treating infectious locations and resolving state of S. aureus patient’ nasal S. aureus carriage will reduce the infected incisions from endogenous flora.

OBJECTIVES:
To explore the micro-plastic operative treatment of deviated nose combined with nasal septum deviation.
METHODS:
We designed the incision at the caudal side of the nasal septum. The three-line reduction method for correcting nasal septum deviation was performed. The connection of the caudal nasal septum and the anterior nasal spine was reposited. The micro-plastic surgery with fixed suture was used to correct the deviated nose.
RESULTS:
After the surgery, the nasal septum deviation was corrected, whose nasal function and symptoms improved without nasal adhesion, nasal septum perforation or other complications. Meanwhile, the nasal tips were in the middle place and nasal dorsums were straight. The aesthetic outcome was satisfactory.
CONCLUSIONS
Compared to the traditional orthopedic technique, the micro-shaping technique can be used for the homochromous operation of crooked nose combined with nasal septum deviation with less injury and lower risk. We suggest this micro-shaping technique be used in a rational way.

Journal of Rhinology 2000;7(2):142-148
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Lengthening of short noses is one of the therapeutic dilemmas in facial plastic surgery. Aesthetically, short noses are characterized by a decreased distance from the root of the nose to the tip-defining point, and this extends less than one third the vertical height of the face. Also, concavity of the dorsum, a low and deep nasion, an overprojected tip, and an obtuse nasolabial angle of the nose will give a shortened appearance. Considering aesthetical and facial analytic factors, we discuss three techniques for the correction of this problem and propose useful procedure for the desired effect of lengthening in this study. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We have experienced eleven cases of lengthening of the short nose during the last 2 years. We categorized these patients into three groups according to nasolabial angle and tip projection which make a distribution in selecting procedure. On-lay graft on the caudal margin of the lower lateral cartilage is used to the patients with mild overrotated tip and proper nasal projection. Cartilage graft between the caudal septum and the lower lateral cartilge combined with on-lay graft on the caudal margin of the lower lateral cartilage is used to the patients with moderately overrotated tip. Full-length dorsal augmentation is applied to the patients with severely overroatated tip and problematic tip projection. RESULTS: We used three techniques aimed at the correction of the short nose. These techniques treated short nose patients and we obtained effective substantial lengthening results in this study. CONCLUSION: Aesthetical and facial analytic factors must be considered in properly selecting a procedure to lengthen the short nose.
