Objective: To study the effect of levothyroxine replacement therapy on improving diffused left ventricular myocardial lesions and cardiac function in patients with hypothyroidism. Methods: Our research included 2 groups: Hypothyroidism group,n=20 newly diagnosed patients and Control group, n=17 normal healthy subjects. Diffused left ventricular myocardial lesions were quantitatively evaluated by non-invasive cardiac MRI T1 mapping technique. Left ventricular myocardial T1 value and left ventricular function before and after levothyroxine replacement therapy were compared; the relationship between T1 value and thyroid function and the relationship between T1 value and the indicators of left ventricular function were analyzed. Results:①Compared with Control group, Hypothyroidism group had increased left ventricular myocardial T1 value, P<0.01, while decreased cardiac index (CI) and left ventricular peak filling rate (PFR), allP<0.05.②In patients with hypothyroidism, left ventricular myocardial T1 value was negatively related to serum FT3 level (r=-0.52,P=0.0006) and PFR (r=-0.43,P=0.0085).③Compared with pre-therapeutic condition, the patients with recovered normal thyroid function showed obviously decreased left ventricular myocardial T1 value and improved CI, PFR. Conclusion: Levothyroxine replacement therapy may improve diffused left ventricular myocardial lesions in patients with hypothyroidism, and therefore improve the cardiac function.

In recent years, the discovery of thousands of long non-coding RNAs ( lncRNAs) has certainly changed human′s view of the complexity of mammalian genomes and transcriptome, as they play an important role in the regulation of transcription, post-transcription as well as epigenetic level, widely involved in various physiological process and diseases. Here this review summarized the lncRNAs associated with cancers, discussed the established methods used to detect and quantify lncRNAs, and evaluated the clinical application of lncRNAs as biomarker.

Objective A HPLC method was established for determination of the content of ATST in the aqueous humor of rabbits. MethodsThe mobile phase was consisting of methanol-1% triethylamine(57:43) and omeprazole (OMZ) as internal standard. The detection was carried out with an ultraviolet detector operated at 235nm. ResultsThere was linearity over the range of 2. 056~41.12 ug/ml in the humor aquosus, r=0.9997. The average recovery of ATST was 94.58 %. Intra-day and in- ter-day RSD were less than 5 % and 10 % ( n = 5), respectively. Conclusion The method is reliable. It can be used for the study on the pharmacokinetics of ATST.

Journal of Practical Radiology 1992;0(11):-
Objective To explore the applied value of multi-slice spiral CT(MSCT) scan in the traumatic facial palsy. Methods 41 cases of traumatic facial palsy were scanned using MSCT,the MPR of interseted region of temporal bone and curved planar reconstruction(CPR) images were performed on Philips Mx8000 MSCT work station. The types, locations and course of the temporal bone fracture and the involving features of the external auditory canal, middle ear, inner ear were observed. Results 39 cases of the 41 patients had temporal fracture in different location.34 cases were longitudinal fracture,2 were transverse fracture and 2 were mixed fracture. The facial nerve canals were involved in 21 cases. Conclusion MSCT and the reformation images can help to study the facial nerve canal in the traumatic patients. It is important to use the MPR and CPR in the traumatic facial palsy.

Objective:To explore the association between CYP2D6 gene polymorphism of cytochrome and clinical response to atomoxetinein children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Methods:Totally 111 Han Chinese boys meeting criteria for ADHD in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,Fourth Edi-tion (DSM-IV)were recruited.Atomoxetine treatment was given in titrated doses in order to achieve optimal re-sponse.Behavior changes were measured with the ADHD Rating Scale (ADHD-RS)at baseline and after optimal doses were reached. The decrease of ADHD-RS scores were primary measures of the treatment effect, the scores of the items in the ADHD-RS was less than or equal to 1 for the remission criteria. The three SNPs of CYP2D6 genes(rs1080985,rs1065852,rs16947)were genotyped by polymerase chain reaction (PCR).Results:There was no asso-ciation between single polymorphisms andatomoxetine after adjusting for baseline rating scores (P >0.05).In con-trast,haplotype analysis revealed that some patients with GAC haplotype achieved significant remission [remission vs.non-remission haplotype frequency (rate):5 /56 (8.9%)vs.3 /164(1.8%),P <0.05 ].After multiple testing correction still existed significant trend(P =0.082)and also found correlation trends after correlation analysis be-tween GAC haplotype and clinical response to atomoxetine (P =0.078),8 patients with GAC haplotype carriers were all effective response to treatment,non-responders without this haplotype. Conclusion:These results suggest association between polymorphisms of CYP2D6 gene and ADHD better clinical improvement with atomoxetine treatment,it is worth further exploration in a large sample.
