China Pharmacy 2001;0(09):-
OBJECTIVE:To study the stability of erythromycin lactobionate mixed with five kinds of infusion fluid at room temperature for 6 hours METHODS:Using microbioassay according to Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2000) RESULTS:The potency of erythromycin lactobionate in five kinds of fluid decreased to varying degrees when they were cultured at room temperature for 6 hours And the potency decreased most quickly when erythromycin lactobionate was mixed with glucose injection or glucose in NS CONCLUSION:Erythromycin lactobionate mixed with sodium chloride injection is more stable than that mixed with glucose injection or glucose in NS

Objective To investigate the clinical value of King's College Hospital Criterion (KCH),Canadian Waitlisting Algorithm Criterion (CanWAIT) and Japanese Liver Transplantation Criterion (JLT) in predicting the prognosis of the patients with chronic severe hepatitis in China. Methods Fifty-five patients with chronic severe hepatitis were classified respectively by the three liver transplantation criteria. Those who were in line with the criterion were ascribed the matched criteria group (MCG),while those who were not in line with the criterion were ascribed the unmatched crite ria group (UCG).The end point of observation was the 90th day after their admission. The survival time and the mortality were compared between the MCG and UCG.The predictive ability for each cri- terion and their correlation with the clinical stages of chronic severe hepatitis were analyzed. Results Seventeen cases accorded with KCH and CanWAIT,while 38 cases did not accord with KCH and CanWAIT.The median survival time (MST) and their mortality in MCG group were 17.5 days and 100.0% respectively, while those in UCG group were 69.2 days and 34.2% respectively.Twenty- one cases accorded with JLT,while 34 cases did not accord with JLT.The MST and their mortality in MCG were 17.7 days and 95.2% respectively, while those in UCG group were 75.2 days and 29.4% repsectively. There were significant differences in MST and mortality between MCG group and UCG group with the 3 criteria (P

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2014;(5):295-299
Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of warm needling plus tuina in treating senile functional constipation.
Methods: Ninety elderly patients with functional constipation were randomized into two groups. Forty-six patients in the treatment group were intervened by warm needling plus tuina; the other forty-four patients in the control group were intervened bySan Huang tablet.
Results: In the treatment group, 19 patients were cured, 24 cases showed improvement, 3 cases failed, and the total effective rate was 93.5%; in the control group, 16 patients were cured, 18 cases showed improvement, 10 cases failed, and the total effective rate was 77.3%. There was a significant difference in comparing the therapeutic efficacy (P<0.05), and the therapeutic efficacy of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group.
Conclusion: Warm needling plus tuina can produce a higher therapeutic efficacy than takingSan Huang tablet in treating senile functional constipation.

Ophthalmology in China 1994;0(02):-
Objective To evaluate the individuality of patients with primary angle-closure glaucoma and discuss the relation between individuality and glaucoma. Design Questionnaire. Participants 99 patients with primary angle-closure glaucoma and 99 healthy people. Methods Questionnaire were performed with Self-rations Anxiety seal: TH means "Time and Hurry", CH means"Competition and Hostility" and L means "Lit". The questionnaires were compartmentalizied with the scoring of TH+CH and statistical analysis; Score 50-28 means Type A behavior, 27 means Type X behavior, 26-1 means Type B behavior. Main Outcome Measures CH, TH, CH+TH. Results The quantity of primary angle-closure glaucoma in type A behavior group was 49 (64.5%), while the quantity of healthy people was 32 (36.8%). There was obvious difference between two groups (P=0.001). The scoring of TH, CH and TH+CH of primary angle-closure glaucoma patients were higher obviously than those of the healthy one (P

Glycyrrhizin acid and licorice flavonoids are the component of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch root that has been used for various medicinal purposes in traditional oriental medicine for thousands of years. Macrophages as a principal component of immune system play an important role in the initiation, modulation and final activation of immune response against pathogens. In the present study, glycyrrhizin acid and licorice flavonoids was investigated the anti-inflammatory effect on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced macrophage cell line of RAW264.7. Well-grown RAW264.7 cells were collected and randomly divided into the blank control group, the LPS(1 mg x L(-1)) group, the dexamethasone (5 mg x L(-1)) with LPS group, the glycyrrhizin acid (400, 80, 16 mg x L(-1)) with LPS group and the licorice flavonoids (200, 40, 8 mg x L(-1)) with LPS group. RAW264.7 cells were cultured in 24-well plates, pre-incubated for 4 h with different concentrations of dexamethasone, glycyrrhizin acid, or licorice flavonoids. Then cells were stimulated for 20 h with LPS. The supernatant of culture medium was collected from each well and determinated the concentrations of cytokines by means of BioPlex mouse cytokines assay. Compared with the control group, the LPS group could significantly induced relatively high levels of granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF), granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor( GM-CSF), macrophage inflammatory protein-1 alpha (MIP-1α), macrophage inflammatory protein-1 beta (MIP-1β), regulated upon activation normal T cell expressed and secreted factor (RANTES), tumor necrosis factor alpha ( TNF-α), monocyte chemotactic protein 1 (MCP-1), chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 1 (KC), eotaxin, interleukin(IL)-1α, IL-1β, IL-3, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-10, IL-12 (p40), IL-12 (p70), IL-13, and IL-17 secretion (P < 0.05). The glycyrrhizin acid significantly inhibited IL-1β, IL-3, IL-5, IL-6, IL-10, IL-12 (p40), IL-12 (p70), IL-13, Eotaxin and TNF-α secreted by LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells (P < 0.05). The expression levels of IL-6 and Eotaxin were observably decreased in the licorice flavonoids with LPS group (P < 0.05). The data presented here suggested that the glycyrrhizin acid and licorice flavonoids modulate various cytokines secreted by macrophages and were important anti-inflammatory constituent of Licorice.

China Pharmacy 2015;26(36):5138-5141
OBJECTIVE:To establish the quality standard for Cangbai qutong capsule. METHODS:TLC was conducted to iden-tify the Rhizoma atractylodis,Asarum sieboldii,Paeoniae Radix Rubra and Cortex phellodendri;RP-HPLC was conducted to deter-mine the content of berberine hydrochloride. The column was Waters Symmetry-C18 with mobile phase of acetonitrile-0.1% phos-phoric acid (gradient elution) at flow rate of 1.0 ml/min,the detection wavelength was 265 nm,column temperature was 30 ℃, and the injection volume was 10 μl. RESULTS:TLC showed R. atractylodis,A. sieboldii,Paeoniae Radix Rubra and C. phelloden-dri had clear spots and good separation. The linear range of berberine hydrochloride was 21.12-84.48 μg/ml(r=0.999 6);RSDs of pre-cision,stability and reproducibility tests were lower than 3%;recovery was 96.439%-100.950%(RSD=1.34%,n=9). CONCLU-SIONS:The method is simple and reproducible, and can be used for the quality standards of Cangbai qutong capsule.
