International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2008;30(4):245-246
Objective To investigate the protective funcfon of total saponin of Radix Dipsaci of Sichuan on cerebral ischemia. Methods 40 rats were randomly divided into a nonllal group,a model group,a low-dose total saponin(10 blocking middle cerebral artery with interpolation method.Brain homogenate was extracted, and superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),and malondialdehyde(MDA)in the brain homogenate were measured. Results In the low-dose and high-dose total saponin groups.the infarction area of cerebral ischcmia and the content of MDA were significantly reduced and the activity of SOD and GSH-Px were increased. Conclusion Total saponin of Radix Dipsaci of Sichuan has obvious protective function on focal cerebral ischemia.

Objective This article aim to optimize facial characteristic indexes and to establish the standard of classiifcation by studying positive photos of Chinese Han nationality adults, and to investigate the personal identiifca-tion power ifnally. Methods Firstly, we determined the 27 facial characteristic indexes and standard of classiifcation. Secondly, we observed 254 positive photos of Chinese Han nationality adults. Finally, indexes and standard of classi-ifcation are evaluated through statistically analysising of observation data results and calculating personal identiifcation capability. Results Thirteen indexes gender differences are signiifcant. All 27 facial characteristic indexes are calculated. Male TDP(total discrimination power)=0.999 999 909 08, female TDP=0.999 999 919 82, overall TDP=0.999 999 868. Conclusion The more facial characteristic indexes and the more classiifcation and the higher degree of classiifcation, the higher personal identiifcation ability can be acquired.

Chinese Journal of Forensic Medicine 2016;31(4):351-354
Objective This article aims to investigate the effect of gender determination for measuring the 12th Thoracic Vertebra by using computed tomography (CT) and explore the feasibility for the research of human skeleton measuring by CT technique in the ifeld of forensic anthropology. Methods After ascertaining 11 radial line indicators,we measured Multi-planner Reformation (MPR)image of the 12th Thoracic Vertebra. Four ratio indicators were calculated after eliminating measurement uncertainty of results. We inspected the effect of gender determination for measuring the 12th Thoracic Vertebra by using computed tomography (CT) on account of statistical measurement data. Results Gender determination of 12 indicators is remarkable after eliminating 3 unstable indicators. Sevene quations were established. The equation established by centrum indicators predicted sex up to 91.6% accuracy. Conclusion The morphometry indicators of 12th Thoracic Vertebra have gender difference. CT technology can accurately measure skeleton and is valuale for study of human skeleton measuring research in the ifeld of forensic anthropology.

Objective To study the application of problem-based learning in combination with simulating teaching in clinical probation of gynecology and obstetrics. Methods The patten of problem-based learning in combination with simulating teaching was applied to experimental group, and the traditional teaching pattern to control group. The teaching effects were evaluated by evaluation of teacher, questionnaire after class and examination. Results Satisfaction ratio of experimental group was significantly higher than that of control group in questionnaire after class. The fine ratio of experimental group was significantly higher than that of control group in written history and case analysis; but there was no significance in excellence ratio and pass ratio. There was no significance in pass ratio ,fine ratio and excellence ratio of finals between them. Conclusion The application of problem-based learning in combination with simulating teaching in clinical probation of gynecology and obstetrics can develop students'ability to practice and improve the quality of class teaching.

Objective:To quantitively detect TfR gene expression of human white blood cell before and after iron supplementation. Methods:Before and after iron supplementation,10 healthy women were phlebotomized separately, and the real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR method was used to analyze the expression difference of TfR gene in human white blood cell. Results:TfR gene expression decreased after iron supplementation in 10 women, more evidently in 7 cases, where the expression level was half less than before iron supplementation. Conclusion:TfR gene expression of human white blood cell could be quantitatively measured by FQ-PCR,and was decreased after iron supplementation in 10 women. It explained that the regulative mechanism of TfR mRNA expression by iron is also suitable to white blood cell.

10.Effects of IAA/HRP on the proliferation and apoptosis of SACC-83 cells.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2016;30(1):31-34
OBJECTIVE:
To study the effect of IAA/HRP on the proliferation and apoptosis of human SACC-83 cells in vitro, and its molecular mechanism.
METHOD:
The rate of proliferation inhibition was determined by CCK-8 assay, the apoptosis-related gene Caspase-3 and Livinα mRNA and protein expression levels were measured by real-time PCR and Western blot.
RESULT:
IAA/HRP could inhibit proliferation of SACC-83, which depending on the time and dosage (P < 0.05); can-up-regulate the Caspase-3 mRNA and protein expression levels and reduction of the mRNA and protein of the Livina expression, (both P < 0.05).
CONCLUSION
IAA/HRP can inhibit the proliferation and induce the apoptosis of SACC-83 cells, which may due to its regulation of the expression of Caspase-3 and Livinα mRNA expression.
