1.Female Sexual Dysfunction and Related Factors in Diabetic Women

Objective To explore the prevalence and related factors of female sexual dysfunction(FSD) in women with diabetic.Methods Female Sexual Function Index(FSFI) was used to investigate the prevalence of FSD in 336 women with diabetes.Logistic analysis was conducted between diabetic women with FSD and without FsD for related factom of diabetic FSD.Results Two hundred and fourty-four patients were found to have FSD.The prevalence was 72.6% .The Logistic analysis showed that FSD was significantly relaed to diahetic course and diabetic neuropathy.Conclusion The prevalence of FSD in diabetic women is significandy greater than non-diabetic women.Diabetic course and diabetic neuropathy play an important role in the development of FSD in diabetic women.

Obesity-related diabetes and the metabolic syndrome are significantly related to increased adipose tissue mass.Understanding of the effect of adipose tissue on the metabolic regulation will play a key role in therapeutic strategies aimed to reduce obesity-induced insulin resistance and alleviate symptoms of the metabolic syndrome.Visfatin is a novel adipokine that appears to be preferentially produced by visceral adipose tissue and has insulin-mimetic actions.We discusse the relationship between visfatin and metabolic syndrome as well as future therapeutic strategies to these diseases.
6.Mechanism of ursolic acid-induced apoptosis in human leukemia cells

Objective To investigate the mechanism of ursolic acid-induced apoptosis in human leukemia cells.Methods U937 cells were exposed to ursolic acid(UA) at various concentrations for 6 h and 12 h,or at 20 ?mol/L for different time intervals.Cells were stained with Annexin V/PI,and their apoptosis was determined through flow cytometry.Total protein extracts were prepared and subjected to Western blot assay using antibodies against PARP,C-Caspase-3,C-Caspase-9,Mcl-1,Bcl-2,Bcl-xL,Bax,and Bad.Parallel studies were performed in human leukemia cell lines Jurkat and HL-60.Results Exposure of U937 cells to UA resulted in increase in apoptosis in dose and time-dependent manners.We found that UA-induced lethality was associated with Caspase activation and PARP cleavage,and that UA-induced apoptosis was proceeded by the downregulation of Mcl-1.Jurkat and HL-60 leukemia cells in parallel studies exhibited apoptosis after UA exposure similar to those observed in U937 cells,although HL-60 cells were less sensitive than U937 cells in UA-induced apoptosis,PARP degradation as well as Caspases activation.Conclusion UA induces apoptosis in human leukemia cells through a process that involves Mcl-1 downregulation,followed by Caspase activation and PARP degradation.
7.Study on clinic, pathology and the expression of CD28/CTLA-4: B7 of simple polymyositis

Objective To study the clinical and pathological manifestation of simple polymyositis. To investigate the expression of costimulatory molecules CD28/CTLA-4: B7 in peripheral blood lymphocytes and their roles in the pathogenesis of SPM.Methods The clinical situation, serum emzymes, electromyography(EMG) and muscular pathology of 141 patients with SPM were investigated. The expression of costimulatory molecules CD28, CTLA-4, B7-1, BB-1 and B7-2 in peripheral blood lymphocytes of six patients with simple polymyositis was measured with one-color flow cytometry(FCM). The control group were healthy volunteers.Results Muscle weakless, myalgia, elevation of creatine kinase and abnormal EMG of myogenic damage were very frequently to see in SPM. The muscle biopsy showed degeneration, necrosis and regeneration of muscle fibres, sporadic muscle fibre atrophy and endomysial inflammatory infiltration. The expression levels of costimulatory molecules CD28, CTLA-4, B7-1 and B7-2 in peripheral blood lymphocytes increased in SPM. 9.Effects of Bisoprolol Combined with Conventional Triple Therapy on the Efficacy and Related Indexes of Pa-tients with Rheumatic Heart Valvular Disease Combined Chronic Heart Failure

OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of bisoprolol combined with conventional triple therapy on the efficacy and re-lated indexes of patients with rheumatic heart valvular disease (RVD) combined chronic heart failure. METHODS:110 patients with RVD combined with chronic heart failure were randomly divided into observation group(55 cases)and control group(55 cas-es). All patients were treated with oxygen inhalation,anti-infection,correcting electrolyte imbalance,controlling arrhythmia,and giving digitalis drugs and diuretic drugs(it can be disabled after edema symptom being controlled);based on it,control group was given Enalapril tablet with initial dose of 2.5 mg,once to twice a day,then adjusted to 10-20 mg after 1 week,twice a day+20 mg Spironolactone tablet,once a day+10 mg Propranolol tablet,once a day. Observation group was additionally given Bisoprolol fuma-rate tablet initial dose of 1.25 mg,once a day,and then increased to 10 mg based on condition improved and tolerability after a meal,once a day. They were treated for 12 weeks. Clinical efficacy,and LVEF,LVEDD,LVESD,SBP,DBP,HR before and af-ter treatment and incidence of adverse reactions in 2 groups were observed. RESULTS:The total effective rate in observation group was significantly higher than control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the LVEF,LVEDD,LVESD,SBP,DBP and HR between 2 groups(P>0.05). After treatment,LVEF in 2 groups were significantly higher than before,and observation group was higher than control group,LVEDD,LVESD,SBP, DBP and HR were significantly lower than before,and observation group was lower than control group,the differences were statis-tically significant(P<0.05). And there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions(P>0.05). CONCLU-SIONS:Based on conventional treatment,bisoprolol combined with conventional triple therapy shows good efficacy in the treat-ment of RVD combined chronic heart failure,it can improve cardiac function,with good safety.
10.The Expression of MMP-2 in EAM and the Effects of Methylprednisolone

Objective To investigate the effect of matrix metalloproteinase(MMP-2) in the attack of exprimental autoimmune myositis(EAM) rats, and the effects of methylprednisolone on expressions of gene mRNA and protein of MMP-2. Methods The expression levels of MMP-2 in the peripheral blood, spleen lymphocytes and muscles were detected by using RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry techniques and was compared among EAM group,EAM with methylprednisolone treatment group (EAMM) and control group. Results ⑴ The degree of episode in EAMM group was lower than that of EAM group , and the infiltration of the inflammatory cells and the necrosis of the muscles were also mild in EAMM group. ⑵There was significant upregulation of the expression of the MMP-2 gene mRNA in the lymphocytes of peripheral bood and spleen of EAM rats as compared with that of the control,Elevation of the expression of MMP-2 protein in rats muscles tissues of EAMM group was observed obviously. However, the expression of the mRNA and the protein of MMP-2 was suppressed significantly in EAM group compared with control group. Conclusions The upregulation of the expression of MMP-2 may be correlated with the onset of EAM. Methylprednisolone may relieve the degree of the pathology of EAM by the downregulation of MMP-2 .
