Objective To compare the effect of comparion of the effect of postoperative.Methods Forty patients with total gastrectomy for gastric cancer surgery were randomly divided into groups of early parenteral nutrition (EEN) and total parental nutrition (TPN) group,20 patients in each group.Nutritional index,immune status,complication rate and postoperative intestinal function recovery time and average hospital stay were observed.Results The first day of bowel movement and time to take a normal soft diet was significantly shorter in EEN group than that in TPN group(t =5.091,7.007,all P ＜ 0.05).and the hospital stays of EEN group all so significantly shorter than TPN group (t =5.802,P ＜ 0.05).Prealbumin and transferrin were significantly reduced on post-operative day (POD)7 and were slowly recovered until POD 90.but the increased rate in EEN group was significantly faster than that in TPN group [cprealbumin:t =9.501,7.913,7.182,6.154,all P ＜ 0.05] ; transferrin:t =5.501,5.712,5.733,5.801,all P ＜ 0.05).The TLC,CD4 and CD8 are lower than before total gastrectomy on POD 7,and have been recovered to the level before surgery.The TLC level on POD 7 and 14 were significantly higher in EEN group than that in TPN group (t =5.645,5.134,all P ＜ 0.05).The PG-SGA score was lower in EEN group than that in TPN group,particularly on POD 21 (t =5.211,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Total gastreetomy for gastric cancer after curative resection of early enteral nutrition support can improve the postoperative intestinal function recovery and shorten the time of hospital stay for patients.

BACKGROUND:The success of the preservation of vital pulp in carious deciduous teeth depends not only on determining the health status of the pulp,but also on selecting the most suitable pulp capping agent.At present,the commonly used pulp capping agent materials contain calcium hydroxide preparation and mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA).Recently,new biomaterials,such as Bioaggregate,Biodentine,and TheraCal,with good biocompatibility and good edge sealing,have been developed and extensively used.OBJECTIVE:To compare the efficacies of MTA,calcium hydroxide preparation,Biodentine and TheraCal LC that are commonly used in pediatric dentistry in the preservation of vital pulp in carious deciduous teeth.METHODS:This prospective,single-center,randomized controlled clinical trial will be conducted in Chengdu Maternal and Child Center,China.Children with deep caries of deciduous teeth,who will be scheduled to undergo indirect pulp capping,direct pulp capping,and vital pulpotomy,will be selected and randomized into four groups according to pulp capping agents:MTA group,calcium hydroxide group,Biodentine group and TheraCal group.Patients will receive return visit at postoperative 3,6 and 12 months during follow-up.By using X-ray,we will observe and compare the speed and quality of the formation of the dentin bridge with different biomaterials,and assess the reason for the failure of treatment.This trial was registered in ClinicalTrials.gov identifier:NCT03220360,on July 14,2017.The study protocol has been approved by the Ethics Committee of Chengdu Maternal and Child Center,China (approval number:20170506).All protocols will be performed in accordance with the Ethical Principles for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects in the Declaration of Helsinki.Written informed consent will be provided by each patient and their family members after they indicated that they fully understood the treatment plan.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:This study will compare the efficacies of various biomaterials in the preservation of vital pulp in carious deciduous teeth.New materials Biodentine and TheraCal will be selected in classical technique to verify their efficacies and explore their superiorities.Classical materials calcium hydroxide and MTA will be selected as controls,which will be separately used in indirect pulp capping,direct pulp capping,and vital pulpotomy to provide reliable choices for clinicians.

Sixty five stroke patients undergoing rehabilitation training in our hospital from May 2010 to May 2013 were randomly divided into study group (n =32) and control group (n =33).Patients in study group received intramuscular injection of botulinum toxin A (BTX-A) in the affected limbs before rehabilitation training started.The F wave amplitude and F/M value,muscle tension and TUG test and 10 m free walking test results of patients in two groups were observed before and 4 weeks after treatment.Compared to the results before treatment,the amplitude of F wave and F/M value after 2 and 4 weeks of treatment in study group decreased significantly (P ＜ 0.05).Compared to control group,the indexes at each time point after treatment in study group were significantly different (P ＜ 0.05).The muscle tension score in study group after 4 weeks of treatment decreased significantly (P ＜ 0.05),and also lower than that in control group (P ＜ 0.05).Before treatment there were no significant differences in TUG test and 10 m free walk test between two groups (P ＞0.05) ; while TUG test and 10 m free walk test in study group were better than those in control group after 4 weeks of treatment (P ＜ 0.05).The TUG test and 10 m free walk test had little improvement in control group after treatment (P ＞ 0.05).The results indicate that botulinum toxin A injection can reduce amplitude of F wave in the corresponding segment of spinal cord motor neurons and improve the walking ability of stroke patients.

Objective To investigate the awareness and trainning needs of health management knowledge in primary healthcare professionals in Beijing.Methods Six hundred primary healthcare staff from Daxing,Fangshan,Miyun,Pinggu and Huairou District of Beijing were selected in 2012 through muhiphase random sampling method and required to complete a standardized questionnaire.The survey included the average awareness rates of health management(tobacco,body weight and alcohol consumption control and daily physical exercises),the rates of application and conception awareness of risk assessment tools of chronic diseases,the awareness rates of normal levels of blood pressure and serum glucose as well as training needs.Differences in different regions were analyzed.Chi-square test was used for data analysis.Results The average awareness rates of tobacco,body weight and alcohol consumption control and daily physical exercises were 94.1％ (513/545),95.3％ (522/548),94.0％ (515/548) and 85.9％ (470/547),respectively.However,the rates of application and conception awareness of risk assessment tools of chronic diseases were only 55.1％ (295/535) and 59.8％ (329/550),respectively.Those who knew the normal levels of blood pressure and serum glucose accounted for 85.4％ (475/556) and 92.4％ (514/556),respectively; although only 23.6％ (131/556) and 21.2％ (118/556) were completely familiar with the major risks of these conditions.About 57.4％ (308/537) or 56.7％ (305/538) participants reported urgent needs for health education on diabetes and hypertension management.Conclusion The awareness of health management of primary healthcare professionals in rural areas of Beijing remains lower and may need to be raised by education or training.

Objective To learn current status of health management provided by primary health professionals working in rural areas of Beijing.Methods Health professionals in township hospitals in Beijing were selected by multi-phase random sample method in 2012 and surveyed by a standardized questionnaire to gathering the data on various health management contents,including health checkup,chronic disease management et al,the action location,its collaborative persons and sectors.Statistics description and inference were conducted to describe and compare the distribution of health management implementation across rural areas by descriptive methods and test,respectively.Results Nearly 66.3％ (321/484) of subjects provided health check-up,and 19.1％ (92/481)involved in follow-up study of mental diseases.The main targets population of health management were chronic diseases and the elderly,with response rate of 44.7％ (214/479) and 38.0％ (182/479),respectively.Health check-up,health education and follow-up of chronic diseases were performed in 62.1％ (298/480),52.4％ (251/479) and 42.8％ (206/481) of the township health centers.About 66.1％ (292/442) township health centers had cooperation with general practitioners; however,cooperation with administrative personnels was only 10.6％ (47/443).More than 41.4％ (201/463) township health centers cooperated with community administrative sectors,and cooperation with the propaganda department was only 10.6％ (49/464).The statistical difference across regions shows in the following,including health management action (health checkup,chronic disease patients following-up,et al),the target population covered (youth,elder person,children,and chronic disease patients),health management location(health checkup,education and chronic disease patients following-up in township hospital and village clinic),cooperation with General Practitioner.Conclusions Our results suggest that the actual situation on health management service in Beijing rural areas and the standards of public health equalization of China are still disjoined,even difference exists across regions.In order to improve the health management service quality,we should strengthen the health management personnel training,increase the general practitioner in proportion,establish the performance evaluation mechanism,increase governmental finance to support those service.

Objective To evaluate the curative efficacy and adverse events of in vitro hyperthermia in combination with chemotherapy for treating patients with advanced pancreatic carcinoma .Methods Seventy-five patients with advanced pancreatic carcinoma by pathologic diagnosis admitted in Beijing Friendship Hospital were enrolled and randomly divided into Group Combination ( hyperthermia and chemotherapy ) and Group Chemotherapy at the ratio of 1∶1.All the patients were treated for 4 cycles and the clinical efficacy were evaluated.Results After being treated for 4 cycles, the number of the patients in Group Chemotherapy who had complete response(CR), partial response(PR), stable disease(SD), progressive disease(PD) was 0, 10, 10 and 17, the objective response rate (ORR) was 27.0%, and the disease control rates (DCR) was 54.1%, which in Group Combination was 0, 18, 15 and 5, and 47.4% and 86.8%, respectively.DCR between the two groups was statistically significantly different ( P=0.002 ), but there was no statistical significance on DCR(P=0.069).In Group Combination, the pain relief rate and physical fitness improvement rate was 92.1% and 84.2%, which were significantly higher than 21.6% and 27.0% in Group Chemotherapy, which had statistical significance ( both P<0.05 ).The median survival time and 1-year survival rate in Group Combination was 8.8 months and 31.6%(12/38), which in Group Chemotherapy was 17.86 months and 27.0%(10/37), and there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups .The adverse events in two groups were mild , and no digestive tract reaction with III and IV degree and bone marrow suppression with IV degree were observed .Conclusions DCR and symptom improvement rate in Group Combination were higher than those in Group Chemotherapy , while the adverse events were mild , and patients could tolerate .This combination therapy was worthy of clinical application .

Objective To explore the application effects of three-dimensional teaching mode for clinical anesthesiology. Methods 43 students were selected into control group, who were from class one, grade 2010 in the Department of Anesthesiology, Ningxia Medical University. 42 students were selected into observation group, who were from class two, grade 2010 in the Department of Anesthesiology, Ningxia Medical University. The traditional teaching mode were used for the students in control group during the teaching of clinical anesthesiology, while three-dimensional teaching mode were used for the students in observation group during the teaching. At the end of teaching, the teaching results were compared between the control group and the observation group, mainly including the usual scores evaluated from an anaesthesia plan plus an anaesthesia case discussion, and the final scores. The teaching satisfaction questionnaire were used to assess the effects of two teaching methods on the students' interest in learning, the capacity of clin-ical practice, the abilities of exploring, analyzing and solving problems, etc. SPSS 17.0 software was used in statistical analysis. The students' teaching results were tested by using two independent samples t-test. The satisfactions of these teaching effects were tested by using the Chi-square test. Results The usual and final scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group [(88.1±5.1) vs. (75.3±4.2), (82.1±3.3) vs. (75.7±3.9); P<0.05]. Compared with the control group, the satisfactions of teaching effects in the observation group were higher such as to stimulate interest in learning (60.5% vs. 90.5%), to improve the abilities of self-study (30.2% vs. 83.3%) and clinical practice (51.2% vs. 85.7%), to widen the scope of knowledge (46.5% vs. 88.1%) and to cultivate the spirits of innovation (55.8% vs. 83.3%), etc (P<0.05). Conclusion During the teaching of clinical anesthesiology, the three-dimensional teaching mode has more advantages than the traditional one, which is good for improving the students' innovation and practice abilities.

Objective:To investigate the effects of lncRNA associated with microvascular invasion in hepatocellular carcinoma (lncRNA MVIH) on proliferation, invasion and tumorigenic ability of colorectal cancer SW620 cells.Methods:SW620 cells cultured in vitro were divided into empty vector group (transfected with pcDNA3.1 empty vector plasmid), MVIH overexpression group (transfected with pcDNA3.1-MVIH overexpression vector plasmid), NC siRNA group (transfected with interference sequence negative control NC siRNA) and MVIH siRNA group (transfected with MVIH siRNA interference sequence). The mRNA expression level of MVIH in SW620 cells in each group was detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8), clone formation test and transwell chamber were used to detect the proliferation activity, clone formation ability and invasion ability of SW620 cells; The subcutaneous transplanted tumor of nude mice was constructed by subcutaneous injection of SW620 cells in each group 48 hours after transfection. The transplanted tumor volume was measured every 5 days to evaluate the tumor growth. On the 25th day, the nude mice in each group were killed and the tumor weight was measured. Results:The mRNA MVIH expression level, cell proliferation, clone formation rate and number of invasive cells of SW620 cells in the MVIH overexpression group were significantly higher than those in the empty vector group ( P<0.05); the MVIH mRNA expression level, cell proliferation , clone formation rate and number of invasive cells of SW620 cells in the MVIH-siRNA group were significantly lower than those in NC-siRNA group ( P<0.05). The results of subcutaneous transplantation tumor in nude mice showed that the growth rate of tumor in MVIH overexpression group was faster and the tumor weight was higher than those in the empty vector group ( P<0.05); the growth rate of tumor in MVIH overexpression group was slower and the tumor weight was lower than those in NC-siRNA group ( P<0.05). Conclusions:LncRNA MVIH can promote the proliferation, invasion and tumorigenesis of SW620 cells in colorectal cancer.

Objective: To determine the otorhinolaryngologic manifestations of long COVID-19 infection among patients consulting at the Quezon City General Hospital. : Methods Design: Cross-Sectional Study Setting: Tertiary Government Hospital Participants: Patients aged 18 years old and above, who previously tested positive for the SARS-COV-2 Test, and consulted with otolaryngologic problems at the Outpatient department, Emergency Room, or were dmitted, or referred from other services to the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, from October 2022 to January 2023 were considered for inclusion. Results: Out of 150 participants, 127 (84.67%) reported having otorhinolaryngologic symptoms. Five percent (5%) had ongoing symptomatic COVID-19 (4 to 12 weeks) and 11% had post COVID-19 syndrome (>12 weeks). Patients with long COVID-19 had rhinorrhea (54.51%), hyposmia (51.47%), dysgeusia (48.9%), anosmia (48.53%), sore throat (47.8%), ageusia (29.78%), tinnitus (23.53%), ear pain (23.53%), phantosmia (21.33%), and dizziness (11.76%). Out of 25 patients with long COVID, only 2 had pneumonia and 1 was hospitalized and eventually recovered. Conclusion This study showed a prevalence rate of 16% of long COVID-19 with rhinorrhea as the most prominent symptom. Long-term monitoring is essential and patients who had COVID should be advised to report any lingering illness which may subsequently develop. Physicians should be vigilant and aware of the clinical manifestations of long COVID in order to institute proper intervention.
