1.A review of medical image compression techniques
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2008;31(2):77-81
As the increasing of digital imagilag modalities,a close-at-hand challenge to deal with is the storage and transmission requirement of enormous data of medical images.Compression is one of the indispensable techniques to solve this problem.A comprehensive review and discussions are made in this paper over the medial image compression techniques applied in medical image domain, including the latest achievements in this field.Different compression algorithm including ROI-based coding, lossless compression,DWT,neural net are introduced and some quality evaluation methods are introduced.Foreground of the field is given from our point of view.
2.Pay close attention to drug-induced lupus
Journal of Integrative Medicine 2008;6(5):458-62
Drug-induced lupus (DIL) is a lupus-like illness that has been recognized as a side effect of over 80 drugs since its first description in association with sulfadiazine in 1945. The epidemiology and clinical course of idiopathic systemic lupus erythematosus and DIL differ markedly, and prognosis is generally favorable in the latter although occasional life-threatening cases have been reported in the literature. Constant pharmacovigilance is crucial for prompt diagnosis and cessation of offending therapy, hence achieving the best outcome. This review discusses the clinical presentation, diagnosis and treatment of DIL so as to call for vigilance of medical workers.
3.Content Determination of Icariin in Fuchun Tablets with Reversed-phase High-efficiency Liquid Chromatography
Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(01):-
A simple, rapid and accurate method is described for the determination of icariin in Fuchun Tablets by reversed-phase high-efficiency liquid chromatography. The samples were first extracted with 70% alcohol for 50 minutes The resulting solutions were chromatographed on aYWG-C18 column.By using a mobile phase of methanoltetrahydrofuran-water (26.5:15.9:56.7) and a detection wavelength at 274 nm, the recovery for 101.02%, CV=2.4%,are obtained. The method can be employed for the quality control of Fuchun Tablets.
4.Research progress of resveratrol on gynecological tumors

Resveratrolisonekindofpolyphenoliccompoundswidelyexistingingrapesandother plants.Recent studies have documented that resveratrol may play anti-tumor role by mechanisms of anti-oxi-dant,cyclooxygenase inhibition,anti-proliferation,differentiation and apoptosis in gynecological tumors, such as cervical cancer, ovarian cancer and endometrial carcinoma.
5.Use of the ketogenic diet as treatment for refractory epilepsy and autism in the paediatric age
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2015;30(5):395-398
There has been great progress in seizure control with the development of antiepileptic drugs, but 30% of epileptic children are refractory to antiepileptic drugs. In order to control intractable epilepsy and improve neurodevelopment prognosis, the non-drug therapy such as surgery, vagus nerve stimulation and ketogenic diet (KD) can be taken.Despite its indisputable effectiveness, the functioning of the KD has not been explained. Now the antiepileptic mechanism and neuroprotective mechanisms are studied mainly. It is reported that KD is effective in variety of refractory epilepsy, and recent studies have shown that KD promising in the treatment of children with autism.Although KD is effective,it is worth further study that including its mechanism, recipe, clinical application, and so on.

Journal of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University 2006;0(05):-
[Objective] To elucidate the effects and mechanism of Naoqingling Decoction(ND)on Gilles de la Tourette syndrome(TS).[Method] Central nervous system of mice was stimulated by amphetamine(AMP)to develop the model of experimental tourette syndrome(ETS).Then we observed the stereotypia and autonomic activities of mice, and determined the levels of monoamine neurotransmitters such as dopamine(DA),norepinephrine(NE),5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)and 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid(5-HIAA)in the brains.[Result] To compare with model group,three-dose ND groups can resist the determinate activities stimulated by AMP;can obviously decrease the autonomic activities of mice and degrade the levels of DA,NE,5-HT and 5-HIAA in the corpora striates.[Conclusion] ND has therapeutical effect on ETS model and it's mechanism may be its effects on the secretion or metabolism of neurotransmitter in the brains.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2015;31(2):83-86
Objective Our aim was to study the influence of integration courses combining the death education and resilience cultivation on nursing students. Methods 290 nursing students were randomly divided into the control group and the intervention group with 145 students in each group. The students in the intervention group was provided with the integration courses for 20 class hours based on the curricula of the control group. The influence on the resilience, death anxiety, feeling of sense of life, coping style of students was observed. Results Measurement results showed that the students of two groups had no differences in the four aspects before education, but after education the two groups students showed significant difference, including the average score of resilience and death anxiety, total score of feeling of sense of life as well as the dimensions score of life goals and life value t value was 5.703,3.294,3.649,4.130 and 2.129,P < 0.05.In addition, the mean effectiveness of positive coping styles, problem solving and seeking social support of the two groups showed significant difference too,and all the difference had statistical sense,t value was 1.992,1.977 and 3.344,P < 0.05.Conclusions The integration course can reduce death anxiety as well as improve the resilience of nursing students.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(23):2064-2066
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the clinical features of fungal rhino-sinusitis.
METHOD:
Clinical data of 189 patients suffering from fungal rhino-sinusitis treated by functional endoscopic sinus surgery was analyzed retrospectively. The analyzed data included clinical type, age of onset, predilectionsite, reason, and surgical outcome.
RESULT:
Among the 189 patients with fungal rhino-sinusitis,181 cases were fungal ball,6 cases were allergic fungal rhino-sinusitis, 1 case was acute invasive fungnal rhino-sinusitis, 1 case was chronic invasive fungnal rhino-sinusitis. One hundred and twenty-eight cases were in the maxillary sinus (123 cases were unilateral, 5 cases were bilateral). Nineteen cases were in the ethmoid sinus. 31 cases were in the sphenoid sinus. Two cases were both in the maxillary sinus and ethmoid sinus, 1 case was both in the maxillary sinus and sphenoid sinus. Two cases invasive fungnal rhino-sinusitis had diabetes history. All the patients treated by functional endoscopic sinus surgery, 184 cases without recurrence, 5 cases suffered re-operation.
CONCLUSION
The incidence of fungal rhinosinusitis is showing a rising trend, fungal ball is the highest. The sinusitis patients whom we highly doubt for fungal infection should be confirmed by using sinonasal secretion smear, cultivation and histopathological examination. Surgical treatment should completely remove the fungal masses, to avoid reoperation.
