1.Progress of intestinal trefoil factor
International Journal of Pediatrics 2010;37(3):323-325
Intestinal trefoil factor(ITF)is a low molecular weight polypeptide expressed in intestine. ITF is also found in the brain, respiratory, eyes and so on.To study recombinant ITF will have an important impact for the treatment of gastrointestinal disease, respiratory tract disease, eyes disease and so on.
2.Prevention and treatment of bronchopulmonary dysplasia in preterm infants
International Journal of Pediatrics 2017;44(1):1-5
With the development of perinatal medicine, the survival rate of preterm infants has risen these years, and the incidence of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) has also increased as a result.BPD is a chronic lung disease which is caused by multiple factors,It has complicated etiology and pathogenesis, high mortality early after birth, and high incidence of later adverse outcomes in respiratory and nervous systems, which seriously affect the survival rate and quality of life in preterm infants. This article will summarize the current situation in prevention and treatment of BPD.
3.Advances of molecular biology techniques in rapid bacterial identification
International Journal of Pediatrics 2017;44(5):332-335
Sepsis is one of the most important causes of death in critically ill children. The leading cause of sepsis is bacterial infection. The early diagnosis of bacterial infection allows initiation of appropriate antimicrobial therapy that strongly correlates with positive outcomes. At present, the methods of detection and identification of bacteria in our country are still at the level of blood culture and biochemistry, and they have the weakness of time-consuming process and lower positive rate. Therefore,it is very important to establish a rapid and sensitive diagnostic method for early diagnosis of bacterial infection. In recent years, with the rapid development of molecular detection technology, some new molecular biological technologies can not only improve the detection accuracy and sensitivity, but also reduce the detection hours and expand the detection pathogen spectrum.Nowadays, they have been applied to bacteria classification and identification. There are two kinds of molecular biological technology that are applied at present. One is based on nucleic acid detective technology, such as nucleic acid amplification,DNA sequencing, gene chips, etc. The other is based on proteome technologies, such as biological mass spectrometry. In this paper, the application of recent molecular biological techniques in the rapid detection of bacteria is reviewed.
5.A review of medical image compression techniques
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2008;31(2):77-81
As the increasing of digital imagilag modalities,a close-at-hand challenge to deal with is the storage and transmission requirement of enormous data of medical images.Compression is one of the indispensable techniques to solve this problem.A comprehensive review and discussions are made in this paper over the medial image compression techniques applied in medical image domain, including the latest achievements in this field.Different compression algorithm including ROI-based coding, lossless compression,DWT,neural net are introduced and some quality evaluation methods are introduced.Foreground of the field is given from our point of view.
6.On application of pictorial method in teaching medical English vocabulary
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2016;15(1):43-46
In view of the present situation of medical English vocabulary teaching, we propose to apply the picture teaching method to the teaching of English vocabulary. Picture application process is:teaching ideas - picture searching - picture introduction - question design - example sentence (implica-tions) introduction. We also analyze how to apply pictures related to Chinese and western culture, anecdotes and oddities, stars and celebrities, and common diseases to medical English vocabulary teaching according to the features and interest of the students, so as to activate the knowledge the students already acquired, to achieve good teaching effect through interaction between the teacher and students and to help the students have a solid command of medical English vocabulary taught in class.
7.On audio-visual-oral medical English teaching
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2014;13(5):479-482
Aimed at problems in current audio-visual-oral English teaching for medical students, such as the inconsistency between teaching materials and training objectives, the lack of flexibility and effectiveness in teaching methods and inadequacy of comprehensiveness and objectiveness in assessment methods, the paper analyses and explores audio-visual-oral medical English teaching in three aspects, namely teaching curriculum-setting up topic for each unit based on the contents of medical courses and designing various teaching tasks according to three-step procedure of extensive listening-intensive listening-derivative discussion, teaching methods-adopting pictorial method in teaching medical English vocabulary,macro-micro listening method and interpretation for imitation method, and assessment methods-applying a combination of formative assessment and summative assessment.
8.Effect of WeChat on compliance of COPD patients after discharge
Modern Clinical Nursing 2014;(5):51-53
Objective To investigate the influence of WeChat on compliance of chronic obstructive drsease(COPD)patients after discharge. Methods Eighty COPD patients were divided into observation group and control group in equal number. The former received health education by WeChat, while the control group regular revisits. The two groups were compared in terms of the compliance in mediation and dieting as well as readmission.Result The rate of compliance in mediation and dieting in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control and the rate of readmission significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Health education by way of WeChat for COPD patients can enhance their compliance in medication and consolidate the curative effect.
9.The effectiveness of comprehensive rehabilitation treatment in patients with chronic renal failure
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2003;0(04):-
Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of comprehensive rehabilitation treatment in patients with chronic renal failure (CRF). Methods Fifty patients with CRF were randomly and equally divided into a rehabilitation group and a control group. Those in the rehabilitation group were intervened with comprehensive rehabilitation protocol including regular counseling, health education and adequate aerobic exercise in addition to routine medications, while those in the control group with the routine medications only. The therapeutic effects were evaluated by means of Symptom Check List- 90(SCL- 90) and the questionnaire about quality of life (QOL) for patients with CRF, as well as such biochemical parameters as SCr, BUN, Ccr, DBP and SBP before and after treatment. Results Compared with those in the control group, the physiological capability and other relevant parameters of QOL in the rehabilitation group were significantly improved after one year of comprehensive rehabilitation, while SBP and DBP significantly decreased. There was no statistically significant changes of the concentrations of Scr, Bun, and Ccr. Conclusion Comprehensive rehabilitation intervention is superior to routine drug therapy in terms of improving the physiological capability, decreasing the BP and improving the QOL of the CRF patients.
