Objective To observe the research of the biologically performance,interface micro-structure and nano-indentation situation when polymethyl methacrylate bone cement-PMMA injected into rabbit in the near future and far future individually.Methods New Zealand white rabbits were used ovariectomy plus dcxamethasone intramuscular injection to establish osteoporosis animal model.All animal models were divided into 3 groups with 35 in each osteoporosis group,testing group,and normal group.Execute the lumbar centrum of New Zealand rabbit as osteoporosis bone defect model,injected bone cement,with the help of material dynamo experiment machine to do the axial compression tests,three point bending test,and torsion test in order to observe the biological dynamic changes.Optical microscope,fluorescence microscope and scanning electron microscope were used to observe the changes of micro bone cement and the changes of bone looseness.Nano-indentation testing was applied by the triboindenter to study the critical load.Results PMMA can rapidly establish the strong support with stable function in the near future.Biomechanical experiments showed that biomechanical properties of bone cement group was significantly higher than those in the other two groups.Biomechanical properties of bone cement group may decline with the time,but which were still better than those of OP in the control group.Histo-morphological observation result shows that under osteoporosis state the bone grows slower,bone's rebuilding time also extended.And in the later period,main bone's continuous osteoporosis had some impact on the interface.Nano-indentation testing showed that the young modulus and stiffness of the interface among bone,material and interface were significantly differences.Bone cement had showen the best nano indentation hardness,then was interface and bone tissue.Conclusion The polymethyl methacrylate bone cement llⅢ has a good effect in filling,on account of it has great plasticity and liquidity and can penetrate into the minuteness aperture between trabecula,then after solidifying,it will combine firmly with the host bone.PMMA can rapidly establish the strong support with stable function after operation.The performance is decreasing in the far future but still with satisfaction.

Objective To evaluate the effects of different target effect-site concentrations (Ces) of sufentanil on the minimum alveolar concentration of desflurane inhibiting stress responses to skin incision (MACsAR) in 50％ of patients undergoing abdominal surgery.Methods Eighty-three patients,aged 20-60 yr,scheduled for elective abdominal surgery with an expected incision longer than 10 cm,were enrolled in the study.All the patients were randomly allocated to one of three groups using a random number table:control group (group C,n =28),sufentanil with target Ce of 0.1 ng/ml group (group S1,n =27),and sufentanil with target Ce of 0.3 ng/ml group (group S2,n =28).After tracheal intubation,desflurane inhalation was started,and sufentanil was infused at the preset target Ces in S1 and S2 groups.The initial end-tidal concentration of desflurane was 9.0％ in group C,and 6.0％ in S1 and S2 groups.The target concentration was maintained at least for 15 min.The modified up-and-down method was used to perform the test.The end-tidal concentration of desflurane was adjusted in the next patients according to the response to skin incision.The MACBAR and 95％ confidence interval of desflurane was calculated according to the up-and-down method.Mean arterial pressure and heart rate were monitored and recorded and rate-pressure product was calculated.Results The MACBAR (95％ confidence interval) ofdesflurane was 11.2％ (11.1％-11.3％),7.8％ (7.7％-7.9％),and 4.2％ (4.1％-4.3％) in C,S1 and S2 groups,respectively.MACBAR and rate-pressure product of desflurane were significantly lower in S1 and S2 groups than in C group,and in S2 group than in S1 group (P ＜ 0.05 or 0.01).Conclusion The optimum target Ce of sufentanil is 0.3 ng/ml when combined with desflurane in the patients undergoing abdominal surgery.

An electrospray/ultraviolet lamp dual-source ion trap mass spectrometer was developed for the rapid detection of gas and liquid samples.The instrument used the discontinuous atmospheric pressure sampling technique that both the electrospray ions and gaseous analytes were sampled and transferred using a pinch valve device.The two ionization sources were generally suitable for different kinds of analytes and provided complementary applications.Electrospray was used for the ionization of polar compounds in solution, while the UV ionization source was mainly applied for the analysis of gaseous organic compounds.A variety of samples such as anisole, toluene, 2,4-dimethylaniline, arginine, reserpine and aspartame were employed to test the performance in different working mode of the instrument.The results showed that the two sources were feasible for ionization of different types of samples, and different types of molecular ions could be generated when 2,4-dimethylaniline was analyzed.The two ionization sources could be used alternately or simultaneously without interference, and the working mode was also switched to fit the application requirements.The dual-source configuration was an effective way to extend the applications for miniature mass spectrometers.It did not significantly increase the size of the instrument, but provided more versatile analysis to meet the need for the measurement of different types of samples.

Objective To analyze the clinical features of patients with open injuries combined with infections in Chinese Wenchuan earthquake and summarize the therapeutic experience. Methods An analysis was done on 54 patients with open injuries combined with infection transferred to our depart-ment from May 13, 2008 to June 10, 2008. Thorough debridement was performed based on general sup-porting management and anti-bacterial thempies done on the basis of results of bacteria culture and sus-ceptibility test. In the meantime, other managements including high-pressure oxygen therapy and external fixation were done for open fractures. Results Infection could be found in all open injuries, primarily combined infections with G+ coccus and G- bacillus or anaerobic. Moreover, most of the patients were infected by anaerobia. Of all, 1 patient with amputation received multiple debridement and repair because of severe infection of the amputation site and no death occurred. All patients recovered uneventfully, with sound wound healing, except for 2 patients. External fixation was stable and in good position. Conclu-sions The repeated and thorough debridement and the timely closure of wounds on the basis of energeti-cally anti-infection measures are key to diminishing the mortality rate and mutilation rate. Appropriate ad-junctive therapy can dramatically improve the curative effect.

Objective To review the clinical features , diagnosis , prognosis and treatment of polycythemia vera ( PV) complicated with acute coronary syndrome ( ACS) .Methods The clinical data of 2 PV patients complicated with ACS admitted to Peking Union Medical College Hospital ( PUMCH ) were retrospectively analyzed and the recent literatures were reviewed .Results Case 1 was a 65-year old man who had been diagnosed PV with a positive JAK2V617F mutation 3 years ago.At presentation, the patient was suffering from recurrent angina pectoris , and coronary angiography revealed that there was a severe ( 80%) stenosis in the middle segment of left circumflex and a Xience V stent was implanted .After the percutaneous transluminal coronary intervention ( PCI ) , secondary prevention for coronary heart disease and hydroxyurea for PV were given and the patient has been followed up regularly for more than three years and he is going well.Case 2 is a 44-year old man who was diagnosed PV with a positive JAK 2 mutation 3 years ago and hydroxyurea, interferon, aspirin was prescribed.Then splenic infarction, thrombosis of splenic vein,regional portal hypertension , severe varices of fundus of stomach and upper gastrointestinal bleeding developed with him.Two months ago , an AMI of inferior wall occurred and the angiographic findings demonstrated an thrombotic lesion in the proximal segment of the right coronary artery with a moderate stenosis ( 60%);1 month ago an AMI of anterior wall developed and coronary angiography discovered that there were diffuse thrombus in the proximal segment of left anterior descending artery with a severe stenosis ( 90%) and a complete occlusion in the right coronary artery .After double antiplatelet therapy with anticoagulation therapy of warfarin was given , the patient recovered gradually .Conclusions PV complicated with ACS is relatively rare.According to recent studies, positive JAK2V617F mutation, leukocytosis, age >65 years and positive history of thrombosis are the most important predictors of cardiovascular events .Clinicians should design individualized treatment strategies for patients on the basis of clinical features , coronary angiography findings and complications .For those with thrombotic lesion in the coronary artery due to the hypercoagulative state caused by PV, it should be cautious to carry out a coronary revascularization treatment .

AIM: To investigate the molecular mechanism of amylin in inducing apoptosis of human pancreatic islet ?-cells. METHODS: Human pancreatic islet cells were isolated and cultured. The cells were treated with amylin or amylin and aminoguanidine (AG group) for 24 h, respectively. Apoptosis of pancreatic islet ?-cells was studied by in situ TUNEL method combined with double staining for insulin and ELISA. In this study, efforts were made to collect 88 traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) prescriptions for treating ADHD from public literatures, establish a medication database and conduct data mining on the efficacy, properties, tastes, meridian entries and compatibility regularity of TCMs by using frequency analysis, association rules analysis and cluster analysis. The results showed 33 herbs with a high frequency (≥ 10%). The top 12 frequently applied ADHD herbs were respectively Acori Tatarinowii Rhizome, Polygalae Radix, Prepared Rehmanniae Radix, Os Draconis, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizome, Poria, Concha Ostreae, Testudinis Carapacis et Plastri, Paeoniae Alba Radix, Schisandrae Fructus Chinensis, Fructus Corni, Dioscoreae Rhizoma. The top seven types of frequently applied ADHD herbs by effect were respectively tonic herb, sedative herbs, livei-wind calming herbs, heat clearing herbs, astringent herbs, awaking herbs and damp clearing and diuresis promoting herbs. The top three properties were warm, cold and neutral, with warm as the dominance. The top three tastes were sweetness, bitterness and acridity, with sweetness as the dominance. The top three meridian entries were liver meridian, heart meridian and kidney meridian. The association rules analysis showed commonly used herbal pairs. Polygalae Radix-Acori Tatarinowii Rhizome, Concha Ostreae-Os Draconis, Prepared Rehmanniae Radix-Fructus Corni-Os Draconis. Eight highly frequent cluster prescriptions were summarized based on the cluster analysis. This study indicates that basic TCM prescriptions for treating ADHD were principally composed of tonics (nourishing liver and kidney, invigorating heart and spleen) and tranquilization, which were supplemented with herbs for calming liver, clearing heat, promoting qi-circulation, promoting blood-circulation, reducing phlegm and calming endogenous wind. The combination of multiple data mining techniques can reflect the clinical medication regularity of herbs for treating ADHD in an overall and objective manner.

Une new flavonoids named as notabilisin K (1), together with four known compounds, morusin (2), mulberrofuran A (3), neocyclomorusin (4) and mornigrol F (5) are separated from 95% ethanol extracts of the twigs of Morus notabilis. Compounds 2-5 are separated from this plant for the first time. Notabilisin I, notabilisin J exhibits certain effect against cells of HCT-116, HepG2 and A2780 with IC50 values ranging from 1.47 μmol x L(-1) to 5.46 μmol x L(-1). Morusin exhibits strong effect against five kinds of human cancer cells (BGC823, A2780, HCT-116, HepG2 and NCI-H1650) with IC50 values ranging from 0.74 μmol x L(-1) to 1.58 μmol x L(-1).
