1.Advance on mediastinal gray zone lymphoma
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2011;20(3):182-185
As a distinct clinicopathological entity, mediastinal gray zone lymphoma cannot be classified by using differential diagnostic criteria. The cases represent a spectrum of tumors having characteristics of both primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma (PMBL) and classic Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL). In the 2008 WHO Classification, a novel category designated B-cell lymphoma, unclassifiable, with features intermediate between diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and classical Hodgkin lymphoma (BCLu) has been created to include these neoplasms. The main features of BCLu are clearly different from those of conventional mediastinal large B-cell lymphomas. Diagnosis of BCLu requires a multiparameter approach incorporating morphological, immunophenotypic, immunohistochemical and other features. These lymphomas generally have a more aggressive clinical course and poorer outcome. There is no consensus on the optimum treatment, while the recommended therapies for aggressive B-cell lymphomas might be effective options.

Objective:To investigate the effect of tension-band thread cable internal fixation for the treatment of patellar fracture.Methods:81 cases with patellar fracture were treated by tension-band thread cable internal fixation. Results:Among the follow-up 64 cases, from 1 to 8 years, the rate of excellent and good results was 90.6%.Conclusion:Tension-band cotton thread cable was firm, safe, simple and practical. There is no need for the patients to have the second removal of materials of internal fixation. It is advisable to use it in clinical practice.
6.Modification of catalyzed signal amplification method
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1982;0(02):-
Objective:To verify whether hot PBS washing after the enzymatic reaction between tyramine and horseradish peroxidase can improve the sensitivity and specificity of catalyzed signal amplification (CSA). Methods: Using 7 different types of primary antibodies and 2 tumor microarray system, we carried out EnVision, LSAB, Standard CSA, and modified CSA staining and compared their sensitivities and specificities. Results: The modified CSA method was the most sensitive one among the 4 methods, followed by standard CSA, EnVision, and LsAB method. The sensitivity of modified CSA method was 2-3 times higher than that of standard CSA. The 4 methods had similar background staining and had exact localization of cells. Conclusion: The modified CSA is more stable and sensitive than traditional CSA staining method.
