The negative emotion of diabetes mellitus patients affects their treatment and management, so the emotional intervention has becomed an important aspect to control the disease. This paper summarizes the intervention object, content, methods and evaluation, analyze the status of emotional intervention, to provide a basis for follow-up interventions.

Septic cardiac dysfunction is very common in children with sever sepsis and septic shock, and the diagnosis mainly depends on echocardiography.In this article, we reviewed the diagnosis of septic cardiac dysfunction and its relation with prognosis.Meanwhile,we showed the hot spot and controversy on potential mechanisms of septic cardiomyopathy.

Objective To understand the diabetic patients' attention towards their disease and promote the implement of self-management behaviors.Methods The questionnaire designed byThe new community care model in China-community care and management about chronic disease project was used to investigate 387 diabetic patients in two communities in Chengdu,understanding their attention situation to their disease and its' influenced factors.Results 56.1％(217/387) patients were aware of their own disease status.Univariate analysis showed that different communities (x2=40.858),age(x2=8.138),disease duration (x2=4.698),complications of diabetes (x2=31.643),special outpatient service (x2=7.181) had statistically significant influence on patients' attention towards their disease,P＜0.01 or ＜0.05.While Logistic regression analysis showed that different communities(Wald=35.953),complications of diabetes (Wald=20.068),special outpatient service (Wald=7.192) had statistically significant influence on patients' attention towards their disease.Conclusions The diabetic patients' attention towards their disease is insufficient in community,the factors include different communities,complications of diabetes,the medicare form,and it suggests that the community should focus on strengthening the patient's awareness of the disease situation,then effectively improve their self-management behavior.

The major pathogenic bacterium of catheter-related bloodstream infection is gram-positive bacteria.The occurrence of catheter-related bloodstream infection is related with exogenous factors and endogenous factors.It is suggested that catheter-related bloodstream infection should be diagnosed without removing the catheter.It is shown that the catheter should be removed and the patient should use antibiotics as soon as possible if catheter-related bloodstream infection occurred.Buliding a detection system,using antimicrobial dressings and antimicrobial central catheters,and improving patient's nutritional status can decrease the morbidity of catheter-related bloodstream infection.The authors summarize the epidemiology,diagnosis,treatment and prevention strategies of catheter-related bloodstream infection.

Gut-origin sepsis is paid more attention recently.Gut has become an important origin of sepsis for its full of bacteria and toxin and the role in immune regulation,which is hidden in infants and young children.We rarely diagnose gut-origin sepsis deliberately in clinic,but just as a source of infection.In this article,we discussed the pathogenesis including some debated problems and progress of treatment by literature review,hope to help clinicians improve the ability to diagnose and treat gut-origin sepsis.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility of waist-to-height ratio (WHtR) to reflect the body composition of people aged 60-69 years in Hubei minority areas.Methods A total of 398 eligible residents between 60-69 years old were selected through a stratified sampling method.Body height,weight,waist circumference,hip circumference and skinfold thickness were measured at the interview.Bland-Altman analysis was applied to estimate the consistency among WHtR,body mass index (BMI),waist-to-hip ratio (WHR),and Suzuki-changling formula.Results After standardization,the mean of WHtR and BMI was 0.007,the mean of WHtR and WHR was 0.007,and the mean of WHtR and Suzuki-changling formula was 0.711,which revealed that there were good consistency among WHtR,BMI,WHR and Suzuki-changling formula.Conclusions WHtR may serve as an typical index to reflect the body composition of people aged 60-69 years in Hubei minority areas.

Objective To summarize the clinical characteristics of foreign accent syndrome (FAS) among Chinese. Methods The journal articles published in Chinese between 1980 and 2011 were retrieved with three Chinese translated versions of FAS as the key words, and 38 articles in line with the inclusion criteria were systematically analyzed. Results and Conclusion Each year, about (3.06±1.65) cases were published on FAS ever since 1996. The age of FAS patients was averagely around 38.10 years, and of the reported cases, there were 26 males and 23 females, there is no significant difference in gender (χ2=0.184, P=0.668). The etiological factors of FAS were identified mainly as injury (59.19%), stroke (32.65%) and psychogenic disorder (8.16%), and 65.31% of the focus were found at the left side of brain.85.72 % of the FAS patients were seen to be speaking a new dialect used by a larger population. 80% of the patients who didn't suffer from a coma changed their accent in 72 h following the injury, while 72.73% of those once in a coma changed their accent as they gained consciousness.The prognosis of FAS was fine, with an improvement rate of 70.83%, and 73.53 % of the patients began to recover less than 3 months later following the injury.

OBJECTIVE: To study the pharmacokinetics of cefotetan disodium for injection in Chinese healthy volunteers. METHODS: Thirty healthy volunteers were randomly divided into 3 groups with 5 males and 5 females in each group. The volunteers in each group were administered a single dose of cefotetan disodium of 0.5, 1.0, or 2.0 g, respectively. Those who got dose of 1.0 g were administered twice daily for 7 d. The concentrations of cefotetan disodium in plasma were determined by HPLC while the pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated by DAS software. RESULTS: The main pharmacokinetic parameters of cefotetan disodium after single-dose intravenous administration were as follows: ρmax(68.03 ± 15.95), (110.77 ± 17.67), (225.34 ± 19.63) mg · L-1; AUC0-15(242.88 ± 56.60), (415.22 ± 54.24), (856.18 ± 82.72) mg · h · L-1; t1/2(3.67 ± 0.48), (3.69 ± 0.40), (3.53 ± 0.26) h, respectively. The main pharmacokinetic parameters of cefotetan disodium after multiple-dose administration were as follows: ρmax(123.60 ± 15.74) mg · L-1; AUC0-15 (444.38 ± 62.78) mg · h · L-1; AUCSS(426.87 ± 59.36) mg · h · L-1; t1/2(3.29 ± 0.36) h; ρav(35.57 ± 4.95) mg · L-1, respectively. CONCLUSION: Cefotetan disodium for injection displays linear pharmacokinetics in the dose range of 0.5 to 2.0 g after single intravenous dosing. There is no significant accumulation after repeated dosing. There is no significant difference in the pharmacokinetic parameters between female and male subjects. Objective:To investigate the expression and correlation of EHD2 and E-cadherin in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Meth-ods:Western blot and immunohistochemistry were used to detect the expression of EHD2 and E-cadherin in HCC specimens and adja-cent noncancerous tissues. The correlations of EHD2 and E-cadherin with the clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of pa-tients were further analyzed using Pearsonχ2 test and Kaplan-Meier method. Results:EHD2 expression, along with E-cadherin, was markedly reduced in HCC tissues than in adjacent noncancerous tissues. Moreover, EHD2 and E-cadherin expression were correlated with histological grade, microvascular invasion, and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that HCC patients with decreased EHD2 and E-cadherin expression had shorter overall survival time than those with higher expression. Conclu-sion:The abnormal expression of EHD2 and E-cadherin possibly promote HCC. Detection of EHD2 and E-cadherin may be valuable for diagnosing HCC and evaluating malignancy extent and prognosis.
