Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1995;0(02):-
Objective Percutaneous puncture of gasserian ganglion was guided by CT scan to improve the accuracy and reduce complications and to compare the efficacy of chemical mutilation with ethyl alcohol and adriamycin. Methods Ninety-two patients with primary trigeminal neuralgia (39 males, 53 females) aged 37-84 yrs were divided into two groups : A ethyl alcohol group ( n = 47) and B adriamycin group ( n = 45) . Secondary trigeminal neuralgia was excluded by preoperative CT scan. Percutaneous puncture of oval foramen was guided by CT and correct location of needle tip was confirmed by injection of contrast medium. 100% ethyl alcohol 0.5ml (group A) or 2% adriamycin 0.5ml was injected. Results The patients were followed up for 12 months after treatment. Neuralgia disappeared in 31 out of 47 patients in group A (alcohol group) and in 36 out of 45 patients in group B (adriomycin group) . Treatment failed in 13 patients in group A and 6 patients in group B, and was partly effective in the other patients. There were no severe side effects or complications. Conclusion Percutaneous puncture of gasserian ganglion guided by CT is effective and reduces complications. Adriamycin is more effective than ethyl alcohol for chemical mutilation.

Objective To analyze X-ray plain film and CT signs of giant cell tumor of bone. Methods Imaging findings of giant cell tumor in 53 cases proved surgically and pathologically were retrospectively analyzed. Results 39 cases appeared as expensive cystic and eccentric destruction, osteolytic destruction 14 cases.Bone crests were usually seen in (39/53).Most of lesions did not have bone septations on CT image. The borders of destructive bone were clear and existed complete or incomplete sclerotic borders in 19 on CT image. The inner soft tissues of lesions were heterogeneous in most of the cases.Fluid-fluid level could be seen in 11 cases. The soft tissue masses outside the bone were demonstrated in the majority cases with discontinuous bone shell. Conclusion CT is more helpful than X-ray plain films in diagnosis of giant cell tumor of bone.

Clinical Medicine of China 2011;27(2):181-182
Objective To assess the efficacy of radical transurethral electrovaporization for invasive bladder cancer. Methods Thirty-six patients with invasive bladder cancer from february 2008 to February 2010 were treated by transurethral electrovaporization resection of bladder tumor (TURBT). The operation procedure was based upon the principle of radical transurethral resection for bladder tumor. The tumor was resected to fatty layer outside the bladder wall. After operation Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) irrigation of bladder was given, all patients were followed up for 3 to 24 months. Results The recurrence occurred in 12 cases in 2 years, with a recurrence rate of 33. 3% (12/36). These recurrence cases were treated with TURBT again. Six cases dead in 2 years, with a mortality of 16. 7% (6/36). Conclusion TURBT is suitable for those who are older or weak, and not medically fit for radical cystectomy or those who refuse the open surgery, which can prolong the survival time and improve the quality of life.

Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine 2016;55(1):25-30
Objective The aim of this study was to assess the clinical value of pro-gastrin releasing peptide (ProGRP) , squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC-Ag), cytokeratin 19 fragment antigen 21-1 (Cyfra21-1) and carcino-embryonic antigen (CEA) in the diagnosis and clinical stage of lung cancer in Chinese patients. Methods Patients with lung cancer and benign lesions confirmed by pathology were enrolled in Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 2013 to October 2014.The serum levels of four tumor markers (ProGRP, SCC-Ag, Cyfra21-1 and CEA) were measured using immunoassays before treatment. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV) and the areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUCROC) of these four tumor biomarkers were analyzed for the diagnosis of lung cancer. Results A total of 134 patients were finally analyzed, including 73 patients with lung cancer and the other 61 patients with benign lung disease. The diagnostic sensitivity of serum Cyfra21-1 to lung cancer was 67.1%, the specificity 45.1%, the AUCROC 0.658.The diagnostic sensitivity of the panel including ProGPR, Cyfra21-1 and CEA to lung cancer was 75.3% , the specificity 57.4% , the AUCROC 0.702.In the lung cancer group, the AUCROC of ProGRP over 65 ng/L to diagnose small cell lung cancer was 0.954;the AUCROC of SCC-Ag over 1.5 μg/L to diagnose squamous cell lung cancer was 0.788;the AUCROC of Cyfra21-1 to diagnose non-squamous-non-small-cell lung cancer was 0.716.In small cell lung cancer patients, the level of ProGRP in limited-disease small cell lung cancer (LD-SCLC) were significantly higher than that in extensive-disease small cell lung cancer (ED-SCLC) (P =0.005).Conclusion This panel of serum tumor markers including ProGRP, Cyfra21-1 and CEA improves the diagnostic specificity and sensitivity in patients with high-risk lung cancer. The serum CEA level of advanced lung cancer patients is significantly increased. The high level of serum ProGRP predicts the ED-SCLC.

Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2016;35(4):408-410
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of wheat-sized moxibustion in treating epigastric pain due to deficient cold of spleen and stomach. Method Fifty-six patients were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 28 cases in each group. The treatment group was intervened by wheat-sized moxibustion; the control group was by orally taking Omeprazole enteric-coated tablets. For both groups, 7 treatment sessions were taken as a course, and the therapeutic efficacies were evaluated after 2 courses. Result There were significant differences in comparing the total effective rate, pain score, and relapse rate between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion It can be confirmed that wheat-sized moxibustion is effective in treating epigastric pain due to deficient cold of spleen and stomach, and it can effectively lower the relapse rate and significantly reduce the sufferings brought by the recurred symptoms.

China Pharmacist 2015;18(10):1678-1681
Objective:To establish a Crownpak CR( +)-HPLC method for the determination of the content and related substance of valacyclovir hydrochloride dispersible tablets. Methods: A Crownpak CR( +) [4. 0 mm × 150 mm,5 μm,DAICEL CROWNPAK CR( +)] column was used, and the mobile phase was 0. 1% perchloric acid in water. The flow rate was 0. 75 ml·min-1 and the de-tection wavelength was 255 nm. Results: A good linear range of valacyclovir hydrochloride was 11. 25-180. 00 μg · ml-1 ( r =1. 000 0), and the average recovery was 99. 0%(RSD=0. 8%, n=9). A good linear range of alacyclovir was 0. 2-50μg·ml-1(r=1. 000 0), and the average recovery was 99. 3%(RSD=0. 6%, n=9). The content of the tablets from two pharmaceutical companies was 92. 7% and 97. 4%, respectively, that of acyclovir calculated by an external standard method was 0. 5% and 0. 4%, respectively, and that of D-valacyclovir calculated by a self-control method was 0. 9%. Conclusion:The method can effectively separate valacyclovir and D-valacyclovir, which is simple, accurate and reliable, and suitable for the quantity control of valacyclovir hydrochloride.
