1.Study on influence of artesunate on reproductive process in white mice
Pharmaceutical Journal 2003;323(3):27-29
Study affect of artesunate at close of 50mg/kg in day 1 and 25mg.kg per day four days later.
The result showed that: Artesunate with that close had no effect to the birth process of P, F1 and F2: concretely: not make disorderly of reproductive; no have born malformation among generation P, F1, F2 mice. Quantity and weight of born mice were normal. Difference between artesunate group and control group was not statistically significant.

2.Study on influe of artesunat on the reproductive progress in white mice
Pharmaceutical Journal 2004;336(3):14-17
Artesunat at doses of 50 mg/kg the first day and 25 mg/kg per day for four following days had no effect to the birth progress of P, F1 and F2. Concretely: No coffuse birth: ratio of conjugation, conception, early died feotus and late died feotus among P, F1 and F2 were similar, and were not higher than control group. No innate defects in born mice from P, F1 and F2. Quantity and weight of mice were in normal, and were not different with the control group

3.Evaluation of influence of trifluoromethylhydroartemisinin (ART-F) on some functional activities of nevous system of experimental animals
Pharmaceutical Journal 2003;328(8):27-30
Trifluoromenthylhydroartemisinin (ART-F) was tested toxicity on the nervous system in mice, rats. The result showed: ART_F with dosed 50mg/kgx5days were not the conditional reflex searching for food and sensation-movement self defense reflex in mice, rats, but with doses 100mg/kgx 5 days had changed

4.Reproductive effects of BB 101 in white mice
Journal of Malaria and parasite diseases Control 2003;0(1):41-46
The BB 1O1's effects on the reproductive progress of parents (P), the first (Fl) and the second (F2) generations of mice were investigated at the National Institute of Malariology, Parasitology & Entomology (NIMPE) between February and October 2004. The mice were dosed with BB 101 50mg/kg/day for 5 consecutive days. BB 101 was found to cause no effects on birth progress, mating rate, fertilization. Early died fetuses and late died fetuses were similar among P, F1 and F2. The new born mice were found to have no innate defects. Their size and weight were normal.

5.Sub-chronic toxicity of 16-piperazinoethanol-10 alpha-triluoromethyl anhydroihydroartemisinin (BB134) in experimental animal
Journal of Malaria and parasite diseases Control 2003;0(6):15-22
The BB134's sub-chronic toxicity in rabbits was investigated at NIMPE's laboratory. BB134 was orally administered at the dose of 9mg/kg of body weight per day for 28 consecutive days. The influence of BB134 on rabbit's laboratory indices and cardiovascular system were observed during and after the BB134 administration. The BB134 had not change the normal indices of development as well as the biochemical and some hematological indices of the experimental rabbits. During the study time the rabbits acted and ate normally. The body weight was increased significantly. SGOT, SGPT, bilirubin and creatinine as well as leukocytes, leukocyte formula and hemoglobin had no change. However erythrocytes decreased significantly by day 14. BB134 was also found not to affect significantly on rabbits' cardiovascular system (rabbits' heart rhythms and cardiovascular waves such as P, QP, QRS, T and QT of the control and treated groups were not changed significantly

6.Quality monitoring of artesunate 50mg tablets produced in Vietnam
Journal of Malaria and parasite diseases Control 2003;0(6):23-28
Quality of the locally produced artesunate 50mg tablets provided by the National Malaria Control program to five provinces of Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Ha Tinh and Ninh Thuan was monitored in a survey from June 2001 to December 2004 that was conformed with the expiry date of the drug. The drug had also been previously found to meet the quality criteria of manufacturer and pharmacopoeia. Analysis of samples collected from five provinces showed a remaining stable quality of mass equability, disintegration, hardness and solubility as permitted limits. The artesunate concentration was found to be 90-100% and 95-105% according to pharmaceutical classes and manufacturer criteria, respectively

7.Study on evaluation of therapeutic effects of artelinate and metaartelinate on experimental malarial parasite
Pharmaceutical Journal 1999;274(2):17-19
Artelinate and metaartelinat are water-soluble and relatively stable derivatives of artemisinin. we carried out studies on the antimalarial action of them. Experiments were done in vitro in mice infected with P.berghei and in vitro with synchronous cultures of P. falciparum. The results showed: artelinat had good effect on both cloroquin sensitive and cloroquin resistant strain of P. berghei and P. falciparum. This effect is better than artemisinin's. Metaartelinate had the same effect with artelinat on cloroquin sensitive P. berghei, but have effect on resistant strain only during treatment time

8.Study on the influence of dihydro-artemisinine on the biochemical, hematological index of experimental animals
Pharmaceutical Journal 1998;272(12):18-22
Dihydro-artemisinine (DHA) is a derivation of artemisinine, which is used on the rabbit with 20mg/kg/day in 28 days. The results shown that amount of erythrocytes, leukocytes and hemoglobin level weren't changed. Levels of SGOT, SGPT, creative were not significantly changed compare with placebo. Therefore, DHA didn't influence on the biochemical, hematological index in experimental rabbits

9.Evaluate the influences of pentafluoropro pyloxydihydroartemisinin and mefloquine on some nervous functions of white rats
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;347(3):12-16
The study was carried out on 100 healthy rats, weight of 12020g which were divided into 10 groups. Raw materials: BB103 pure powder and mefloquine. Results: In rats received BB103 with doses of 50 mg/kg and mefloquine 50 mg/kg in 5 days, there were no significant changes on process of conditioned reflex, speed of reflex establishment was stable, response time and extinguishing time of reflex were similar to those of the control group (p>0.05). In rats received BB103 with doses of 100 mg/kg and mefloquine 100 mg/kg in 5 days, there were significant changes on speed of reflex establishment and response time (p<0.01-0.05). There were differences on speed of reflex establishment, speed of stable reflex in rats received BB103 and mefloquine (p<0.01-0.05)

10.Assessmant of the influences of pentafluoropropyloxydihydroartemisinin and mefloquin on functions of the nervous system in rats
Journal of Malaria and parasite diseases Control 2003;3():40-47
A assessment of influences of pentaflouropropyloxydihydroartemisinin (BB.103) and mefloquine on functions of the nervous system of rats. The results showed that: BB.103 with doses 50mg/kg x 5 days (1 and 2 times), and mefloquine doses 50mg/kg x 5 days were found not to influence conditional reflex of rats. The changes of speed of establishment of reflex, speed of establishment of stable reflex, time of consolidation of reflex were found to be unstatically significant as compared to the control. BB.103 with doses 100mg/kg x 5 days (1 and 2 times), and mefloquine doses 100mg/kg x 5 days was found to influence the time of establishment of conditional reflex of rats. The changes were statically significant compared with control group
