1.The relation between serum SCC levels and the disease stages of the patients with squamous cell cervical cancer
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2004;303(10):55-60
Objective: To evaluate the prognostic value of serum squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) antigen in cervical cancer patients. Serum SCC levels were measured in 222 cervical cancer patients, and were evaluated by statistical analysis. Results: 69.3% patients had serum SCC level >2µg/L and 25.2% had serum SCC level >10µg/L. The increase of serum SCC level is related to age, disease stages and could be a significant prognostic factor in cervical cancer

2.The relation between the environ mental and occupational toxicants and cancer
Journal of Medical Research 2000;13(3):42-48
A study aims to introduce some environmental and occupational toxicants which can be causes of cancer including sunlight, air, drinking water, contamination, radioactive agents, radioactive waves, cigarette smoke, the occupational toxicants: aromatic amines, polycylic aromatic hydrocarbons, oil, organic solvents, heavy metal, pesticides, cancer causative chemicals in the food, diagnostic and clinical chemicals.

3.The relation between free radicals and diseases.
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;233(2):47-55
The free radicals can be generated in the normal or physiopathological conditions. They play an important role in the mechanism of many diseases. The anti-oxidant agents such as vitamine E, C, beta-caroten and organic seleminum have effects in treatment of some disease, upgrading the life’s quality, anti - aging process, lasting of the human health and useful living duration.

4.Biological energy and lactate during exercises
Journal of Medical Research 2000;14(1):44-49
The biological energy is special energy, necessary to living process. The biological energy generated from foods such as carbonhydrate, lipit and protein when the big proteins degenarate, the compounds with high energy generated. During exercise, especially attempt, the energy supply by anaerobic degeneration leads to accumulate lactate in muscle cells excreting into blood. The determination of blood lactate is very important more and more in the doing exercies. The average lactate level in vein is 9-16 mg/l or 1.0-1.78 mmol/l, which is a parametter for evaluating the bearing of competitor.

5.The effects of antioxidant belaf drug on the activities of rabbits poisoned by a single acute dose of methamidophos
Journal of Practical Medicine 2004;472(2):45-48
16 adult healthy rabbits aged 12 months were divided into 2 groups. All of them were intoxicated acutely by methamidophos and the one used BELAF sulution, the other group was intoxicated by NaCl 0.9% solution. Results showed that a simple dose of methamidophos could reduce the antioxidant capacity, especially with the activity of red blood cell superocid dismutase and the concentration of reducing total antioxidation of rabbit plasma. However, these changes were recovered after 48 hours of the experiments. The recovered effect of BELAF was not manifested fully.

6.Activities of erythrocyte antioxidant enzynes and plasma total antioxidant of the patients with cervical cancer
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2003;283(4):40-44
By spectrometry, in 78 patients with uterine servical cancer and a control group of 45 healthy person, the activity of erythrocyte antioxidant enzymes and plasma total antioxidant was determined. Results showed a significant decrease of SOD enzyme and blood red cell GPX in cervical cancer patients versus that of the controls. There is a light decrease of total antioxidant state of plasma in patients with cervical cancer versus the controls, and of Hb level in patients with cervical cancer versus the controls. The results suggests a relation between the activity of antioxidant enzyme in cervical cancer patients and DNA damage due to oxygene stress

7.The changes of antioxidant potency of the patients with breast cancer in pre- and postradiotherapy
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2003;286(7):43-48
Study on 30 patients with breast cancer, from 40 to 57 years old in K hospital, Ha Noi. 30 healthy women in control group, from 45 to 57 years old. A significant decrease in activities of erythrocyte SOD, GPx and GR and plasma total oxidant status (TAS) was seen in breast cancer patients as compared to normal subjects. The parameters were significantly increased in breast cancer patients after operation as compared to those before operation. Plasma tumor marker CA 15,3 concentration was significantly increased in breast cancer patients as compared to normal subjects. The parameter was significantly decreased in breast cancer patients after operation as compared to those before operation, and it was also significantly decreased after radiotherapy as compared to those before radiotherapy. There was significantly negative correlation between erythrocyte SOD and GPx activity with plasma TAS concentration in the patients with breast cancer after radiotherapy
