3.Prokaryotic expression of human cTnI and preparation of anti-cTnI monoclonal antibody
Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2003;0(11):-
Objective To prepare monoclonal antibody (mAb) against recombinant human cardiac troponin I(cTnI).Methods The full-length gene encoding human cardiac troponin I (cTnI) was synthesized chemically and inserted into expression plasmid pBV220 to construct recombinant plasmid p pBV220/cTnI. The recombinant plasmid was transformed into E.coli DH5? which then expressed cTnI. The immunological activity of the expressed cTnI was analyzed by Western blot. Recombinant human cTnI protein was used as antigen to immunize BALB/c mice. Monoclonal anti-bodies against cTnI were prepared by normal hybridoma technology. The relative affinity of mAbs was determined by ELISA. Specificity of mAbs was analyzed by Western blot. Results Human cTnI gene was synthesized and confirmed by DNA sequencing. Positive recombinant clones were identified by restriction enzyme digestion analysis and DNA sequencing. Western blot analysis showed that the cTnI protein could be recognized by an anti- cTnI antibody. Two hybridmas producing antibodies against cTnI were obtained. IgG isotypes of two mAbs were IgG2a and IgG2b. Western blot showed that the antibodies were specific for cTnI. Neutralisation test showed that these mAbs could be evidently neutralized by cTnI.Conclusion The recombinant expression plasmid of cTnI was constructed successfully and expressed in E.coli. The method of EL ISA established to test serum cTnI is to clinically useful. The cTnI mAb which using cTnI as antigen prepared in this paper can be used for cTnI immunoassay in vitro.
4.Protection on intestinal mucosa barrier during perioperative period of esophageal cancer.
Chinese Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery 2011;14(9):671-673
Intestinal mucosa plays important roles in digestion, absorption and substance exchange between organism and external environment. Meanwhile, it is the largest immune organ and mucosal barrier, including mechanical, biological and immune barrier. A variety of diseases, especially postoperative complications, are associated with the damage of mucosal barrier. Esophageal cancer surgery is complex and many perioperative factors, especially hypoperfusion and fasting, may affect the integrity of intestinal barrier. Understanding of the mechanism of intestinal barrier (mechanical, biological and immune barrier), the physiological function of probiotics, and the benefit of early enteral nutrition to intestinal barrier are important components to achieve fast recovery after surgery for esophageal cancer.

5.Advance in Proteomics Analysis of Multiple Sclerosis (review)
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2008;14(1):38-40
Proteomics analysis of multiple sclerosis will provide more molecular pathology information about it.With appropriated methods of sample preparation, protein separation and identification, some proteins related to multiple sclerosis could be found and helpful for diagnosis, treatment and prophylaxis. This will improve the final diagnosis ratio of suspected cases and offer clue of drug and gene therapy exploration.Intervention of the related protein ameliorate symptom and release relapse.
6. Inhibition of the proliferation and invasion of pancreatic cancer cells by MAT1 gene-targeted short interfering RNA in vitro
Tumor 2007;27(10):783-786
Objective: To observe the influence of silencing MAT1 gene by short interfering RNA (siRNA) on the proliferation and invasion of human pancreatic cancer cells and discuss the feasibility of using MAT1 gene as therapeutic target for treatment of pancreatic cancer. Methods: BxPC-3 cells were transfected with sequence-specific siRNA targeting MAT1 gene with liposome mediation. The mRNA and protein expression of MAT1 were confirmed by RT-PCR and Western blot, respectively. The cell proliferation was measured by Trypan blue exclusion staining. The invasion ability was determined by Boyden chamber model in vitro. Results: The mRNA and protein expression of MAT1 were significantly down-regulated by siRNA in BxPC-3 cells compared with the control groups. The expression of MAT1 mRNA was reduced by 55.2% and 64.3% at 24 h and 48 h, respectively (P <0.01). The cell proliferation and invasion ability of BxPC-3 cells were significantly inhibited in vitro (P < 0.01). Conclusion: The results suggest that siRNA targeting MAT1 gene inhibits the cell proliferation and invasion of BxPC-3 cells in vitro. MAT1 may be a potential target for gene therapy of human pancreatic cancer.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2003;23(4):423-6
To get formed of the status of research and application of the domestic behavior therapy and its development trend, the time distribution and the subject distribution were bibliometrically analyzed of the literature on behavior therapy from 1981 to 2000 in the CBMdisc. Our results showed that the number of literature of behavior therapy has been increasing in exponential manner over the past 20 years; the behavior modification, the biofeedback and the cognitive therapy are extensively used in China. In clinical practice, the behavior modification and the biofeedback have been applied in all departments of medical institutions, especially for treating the cardiovascular and the neurological conditions. The cognitive therapy has been employed mainly for the treatment of mental disorders (or dysphrenia), the aversive therapy mainly for material withdrawal, and the systematic desensitization for phobia. There was no report found on the clinical use of meditation. It is concluded that the study and application in behavior therapy in China is currently developing very fast.

Malaysian Journal of Medicine and Health Sciences 2013;9(1):21-28
Introduction: Vitamin D plays an important role in maintaining the physical health as well as the
performance of athletes. This cross-sectional analytical study was conducted to determine vitamin D
intake, sun exposure and skin types of both indoor and outdoor Malaysian athletes in the National Sports
Institute, Bukit Jalil. Method: A total of 28 indoor (badminton, shooting, wushu and fencing) and 36
outdoor (athletics, football and hockey) athletes were recruited for this study. The dietary vitamin D
intake was estimated using Vitamin D-specific Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ). The Sun Exposure
Index (SEI) was calculated from Seven-day Sun Exposure Record while the skin types of athletes were
determined using Fitzpatrick Skin Typing Questionnaire. Results: The mean age of the athletes was
21.02±4.11 years and their mean Body Mass Index (BMI) was 22.20±2.22 kg/m2. The mean body fat
percentage of outdoor athletes was significantly lower than indoor athletes (p<0.001). Forty two athletes
(65.6%) met the recommended nutrient intake (RNI) value for vitamin D and the outdoor athletes had
significantly greater amount of vitamin D intake compared to RNI (p<0.05) and the indoor athletes
(p<0.05). The indoor athletes spent significantly less time outdoor per day (p<0.05) and had lower SEI
per day (p<0.05) than outdoor athletes. Most of the indoor athletes (53.6%) had type II of Fitzpatrick
skin type while the outdoor athletes (47.2%) had type III of Fitzpatrick skin type. Conclusion: The
outdoor athletes had higher intake of vitamin D and more sun exposure than indoor athletes. There is a
need to ensure the adequacy intake of vitamin D among indoor athletes.

Chinese Journal of Diabetes 1995;0(04):-
The effect of taurine on IL-1?induced inhibition of insulin release was investigated with cultured neonatal rat pancreatic islet cells. The results indicated that:①Insulin release, both the basal and glucose-stimulated,could be significantly inhibited by addition of IL-1?(5~20U/ml).②The inhibitory effect of IL-1? on insulin release could be reversed by taurine and this effect was directly related to the dose and action time of taurine.
