Alcoholic liver disease ( ALD ) , a chronic progres-sive disease, threatens human health seriously. An increasing number of studies have shown that gut flora dysbiosis plays an important role in the development of ALD. Intestinal microbiota maintains a steady state under normal conditions, regulating gut flora normal physiological function. However, chronic alcohol consumption produces intestinal bacteria overgrowth and dysbio-sis, including the alteration of the composition of intestinal mi-croflora, the increment of gut permeability and bacterial translo-cation. Subsequently, the host immune is activated, promoting the production of inflammatory cytokines in liver, which plays a central role in the development of ALD. Notably, the supple-ment of prebiotics or probiotics reverses the intestinal flora disor-der,ameliorating the clinical symptoms effectively in ALD pa-tients. The evidence impies that the modulation of dysbiosis may be effective in the prevention and treatment of ALD. This review summarizes the research progress on the mechanism of the devel-opment of dysbiosis-mediated ALD, to provide a theoretical basis for the research on intestinal flora and ALD.

Objective To compare the dissolution curves of reference preparation and self-prepared Iloperidone Tablets in four different pH dissolution media (0.1 mol/L HC1 solution,pH 4.5 acetate buffer solution,pH 6.8 phosphate buffer solution, and water). Methods The solubility of Iloperidone in different pH solutions was measured, the dissolution curves of two preparations in four different pH dissolution media were determined by HPLC,and the similarity was investigated according to the f2 factor method. Results The f2 factors between reference preparation and self-prepared Iloperidone Tablets in four different media were more than 50.Conclusion The two preparations are equivalent in four different pH dissolution media in vitro.
5.Review on pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic models of the related agents of incretin
The Chinese Journal of Clinical Pharmacology 2015;(2):146-149
Incretin is a hormone released from the L -cells in the gut wall under the stimulation of food and can promote the insulin secretion. The related agents used in the clinic mainly include two types , the gluca-gon-like peptide-1 ( GLP-1 ) receptor agonists and dipeptidyl pepti-dase -4 ( DPP -4 ) inhibitors.Pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic ( PK/PD) models of incretin related agents can be useful tools in optimal drug therapy in patients and support the design of future clinical trials.Meanwhile , a mechanism-based model can be more powerful at predic-ting physiological characteritics and the probability of successful outcome of anti -diabetic treatment for different dosage regimens of the drugs , which will be beneficial for new drugs development and dosage regimens regulation. The present review is focused on the mechanism -based PK/PD models of representative drugs which belong to GLP -1 receptor agonists and DPP-4 inhibitors.

[Summary] Riedel thyroiditis is an extremely rare form of thyroiditis, the etiologic mechanism remains obscure. It often onsets insidiously and has non-specific clinical manifestations, most of the patients visit doctor because of goiter and clinical manifestation caused by involvement of the surrounding tissue and organs, histopathological examination is the gold standard for diagnosis. Riedel thyroiditis can be easily confused with the other common thyroiditis and thyroid malignant tumor due to lack of understanding of Riedel thyroiditis. Thyroid isthmus wedge resection is recommended if symptoms of oppression are obvious, glucocorticoid or tamoxifen treatment can be used after the operation if Riedel thyroiditis still progresses. Here we present a case of Riedel thyroiditis with diagnosis and treatment in order to call attention to the diagnosis and treatment of this disease.

Objective This study was to explore deaf people's needs for a smooth communication with doctors and/or nurses during health consultation in the outpatient department or when being hospitalized and supply reference for compilation of sign language textbooks. Methods Purposive sampling was used and semi-structured interviews were conducted.Six deaf participants who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were interviewed. It lased for 20 to 40 minutes for each interview.Interviews were recorded digitally and then transcribed and validated.Transcripts were analyzed using a method of thematic analysis. Results Three themes were identified,i.e.needs for sign language interpreters, needs for information and knowledge.and needs for psychosocial and emotional support.Needs for sign language interpreters meant that doctors and nurses were able to communicate with them using simple sign language instead of terminology. The required information and knowledge covered three aspects,i.e.health condition, pharmaceutical therapy, and self-care activity. Conclusions There may exist serious communicative barriers for deaf people during their health consultation in the outpatient department or when being hospitalized. There is a need for healthcare professionals who are competent in sign language to establish the health delivery environment with minimal barriers.

This study is to establish an HPLC-DAD-ELSD method for simultaneous determination of 5 flavones and saponins in Rhizoma Anemarrhenae including neo-mangiferin, mangiferin, timosaponin B II, timosaponin B III and timosaponin A III. Samples were analyzed on a Merck Purospher STAR column(4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 μm). The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile( A) and 0. 1% formic acid (B) with gradient elution at a flow rate of 1.0 mL · min(-1). The column temperature was set at 40 °C. The DAD detector wavelength was set at 254 nm. The ELSD conditions were as follows: the nebulizing gas flow rate was 2.0 L · min(-1) and temperature of drift tube was 105 °C. The volume was 10 μL. The five compounds were well separated with good linear correlations. The mean recoveries were between 102.0%-104.0%. This method was quick and reliable which provides a foundation for quality control of R. Anemarrhenae.

The Chinese Journal of Clinical Pharmacology 2014;(11):1057-1059
ATP-binding cassette ( ABC ) transporters at blood-brain barrier, such as, P-glycoprotein ( P -gp ) , multidrug -resistance -associated protein ( Mrp ) , and breast cancer related protein ( Bcrp ) , can limit central nervous system ( CNS ) uptake of foreign chemicals, drugs and toxicant.ABC transporters are neuroprotective, but they also distinguish poorly between neurotoxicants and therapeutic drugs. So they are major obstacles to CNS pharmacotherapy.Clarifying the mechanisms of these transporters can provide new targets for drugs to get through the blood-brain barrier, which helps to reduce the occurrence of drug re-sistance and improve the effect of treatment. The present review is fo-cused on new findings about ABC transporters and three main signal path-ways, whose are TNF-α/PKCβ/S1PR1 signaling, vascular endothelial growth factor signaling and estrogen signaling.
