The paper expounds the importance and role of circulation service in college and university libraries, how to do circulation work better is discussed from three aspects: scientific management of collections, creating a better environment and fully promoting the quality of staffs, thus to make library play a greater role in campus culture construction.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of cluster needling at the anterior oblique line of vertex-temporal plus speech training in treating motor aphasia after cerebral infarction.Method Forty patients with motor aphasia after cerebral infarction were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 20 in each group. Both groups were given basic neurological treatment. In addition, the treatment group was intervened by cluster needling at the anterior oblique line of vertex-temporal plus speech training, while the control group was by speech training alone. After 4-week treatments, the speech function and communication ability were observed and the clinical efficacies were compared.Result The total effective rate was 90.0% in the treatment group versus 80.0% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the speech function score and Chinese Functional Communication Profile (CFCP) score were changed significantly in both groups (P<0.01). There were significant differences in comparing the speech function and CFCP scores between the two groups (P<0.01,P<0.05).Conclusion Cluster needling at the anterior oblique line of vertex-temporal plus speech training is an effective approach in treating motor aphasia after cerebral infarction.

BACKGROUND: Clinical studies have confirmed that the injection of nerve growth factor into the nerve damage site can improve the motor function of skeletal muscle. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of nerve growth factor on the proliferation of primary skeletal muscle satellite cells in rats. METHODS: The original generation of rat skeletal muscle satellite cells were cultivated by the tissue block method, and the third generation of skeletal muscle satellite cells were divided into three groups. The control group was added with culture medium; the low concentration group and the high concentration group were added with culture medium containing 10, 20 U/mL nerve growth factors, respectively. At 2, 4 and 6 days after culture, the cell morphology was observed by inverted phase contrast microscope and hematoxylin-eosin staining, and the expression of α-actin was observed by immunohistochemistry. At 1, 2, 3, and 4 days after culture, CCK-8 assay was used to detect the cell proliferation activity. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) Inverted phase contrast microscope displayed that with the increase of culture time, the number of skeletal muscle satellite cells in each group increased gradually, and the cell morphology gradually changed from round to fusiform, spindle or polygonal, and gradually fused and arranged along the same direction, and the number of cells in high concentration group was more than that in low concentration group and control group (P < 0.05). (2) Hematoxylin-eosin staining showed that the outline of satellite cells in skeletal muscle of each group was clear and densely distributed, and the nucleus was large and deeply stained; there was no significant difference among groups. (3) Immunohistochemical results showed that the expression of α-actin in skeletal muscle in each group was positive, but there was no statistical difference in the optical density of α-actin positive particles in each group (P > 0.05). (4) The CCK-8 assay results showed that cell viability of low and high concentration groups was higher than that of control group (P=0.000). (5) Above results confirm that high and low concentrations of nerve growth factors could promote the proliferation of skeletal muscle satellite cells, but had no effect on the expression of α-actin in skeletal muscle satellite cells.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the problems commonly occurred in outpatient prescriptions and to evaluate pharmacists’ role in the checking and intervention of prescriptions.METHODS:Questionable prescriptions recorded by outpatient pharmacists in their routine prescription checking from June,2004 to October, 2004 were classified and statistically analyzed. RESULTS:On average,the questionable prescriptions accounted for 0.35% of all the prescriptions dispensed by pharmacists. Of the questionable prescriptions,usage problems accounted for 43.0%,dosage accounted for 39.4%,volume dose accounted for 9.7%,frequency accounted for 2.7%.The results in prescribed frequency were significantly different before and after pharmacists intervention(P

ObjectiveTo investigate the level of plasma stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1) in essential hypertension and the effect of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor Enalapril on it. MethodsThe levels of plasma SDF-1 in 34 patients with hypertension and 28 normal healthy people were detected with ELISA. Hypertension patients were detected again after 2-week Enalapril treatment. ResultsThe level of SDF-1 in hypertension patients was （4.211±1.132） mmol/L, higher than control (3.568±0.936) mmol/L （P<0.05）, and became （4.950±1.050） mmol/L after treatment, higher than pre-treatment （P<0.05）. ConclusionThe level of SDF-1 increases in patients with hypertension, and Enalapril can further increase the level.

ObjectiveTo explore the association of smoking to the Aspirin and Clopidogrel antiplatelet in patients with stable angina after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods241 smoking patients and 252 non-smoking patients underwent PCI for stable coronary artery disease, all patients had taken aspirin 100 mg/d for 7 d or more. The arachidonic acid (AA)- and adenosine diphosphate (ADP)-induced platelet aggregation were tested as they got in hospital. Then, they accepted Clopidogrel 300 mg as loading dose, continued with 75 mg/d for 3 d. The ADP-induced platelet aggregation were re-tested. ResultsThe incidence of aspirin resistance (AR) and aspirin semiresponder (ASR) was 19.1% in all the cases, and was 25.5% in smoking group, 14.3% in non-smoking group (P=0.027). Age (OR=3.79，95%CI: 1.77～8.12) and smoking (OR=1.98，95%CI: 1.18～4.43) were the independent risk factors of AR and ASR. The incidence of Clopidogrel resistance was 19.5% in all the cases, and was 13.2% in smoking group, 24.3% in non-smoking group (P=0.03). Smoking (OR=0.22，95%CI: 0.09～0.54) may reduce the risk of Clopidogrel resistance. ConclusionSmoking increased the risk of AR and ASR, but reduced the risk of Clopidogrel resistance.
