Uveitis is a kind of refractory blinding eye diseases.Noninfectious uveitis is an important part of uveitis,which is thought to be an autoimmune disease,and systemic immunosuppressive therapy is usually required to prevent visual loss.As a selective T-cell inhibitor,cyclosporine A is one of the most widely used immunosuppressants,and has obvious therapeutic effect on many kinds of uveitis.Cyclosporine A combined with glucocorticoid,other immunosuppressants or biological agents can improve the therapeutic effect and reduce the side effects.Recently,the inhibitory effect on glucocorticoid-resistant Th17 cells and topical application of cyclosporine A,show its advantage and potential in the treatment of noninfectious uveitis.

Objective To investigate the efficacy of paroxetine hydrochloride on elderly ulcerative colitis with anxiety /depression as adjuvant treatment. Methods The total of 80 cases of elderly ulcerative colitis with anxiety / depression were randomly assigned to the treatment and control groups ( n= 40 cases) . The mild or moderate UC patients in the control group were treated with mesalazine enteric coated tablets 1 g,tid,po or 1 g,qid,po, respectively;upon the complete treatment for 2 weeks, the patients with lower response were added with prednisone acetate tablets 10 mg,qid,po;and the patients in the treatment group were treated with paroxetine hydrochloride tablets starting from 10 mg·d-1 to 20 mg·d-1 3 days later, for 2 months in addition to the basic treatment as those in the control group. No alcohol, no coffee and no irritated foods were allowed during the treatment;regular reexamination was taken once for every 2 weeks. The clinical manifestations and colonoscopy Mayo composite score and Hamilton anxiety / depression ( HAMA/HAMD) score test were assessed for every patient before and after treatment, to detect the improvement after treatment. Results After treatment, the Mayo scores of the treatment group decreased significantly in comparison to the control group,with the total efficiency was markedly higher than that of the control group ( P<0. 05);HAMA and HAMD in treatment group were obviously lower than those before treatment ( both P<0. 01);HAMA and HAMD scores in the control group displayed no variation after treatment. Conclusion The adjuvant therapy of paroxetine hydrochloride remarkably improves the clinical and endoscopic manifestations of elderly patients with ulcerative colitis with anxiety/depression.

Objective To observe the effects of 5-fluorouracil(5-FU) on prognosis of septic shock in rats.Methods Thirty female Wistar rats was randomly divided into three groups: control group, septic shock group, and 5-FU group. The septic shock model was established by peritoneal injection of 1.8?109cfu/ml E. coli at the volume of 1 ml/100 g weight. The 5-FU group rats were treated intraperitonealy with 5-FU 50 mg/kg weight at 40 minutes after the septic shock model was established. All rats were killed at 6 hours after operation.The mortality, the ascites rate, the lung tissue wet weight and the lung injury score(LIS) were measured.Results The mortality, the ascites rate, the lung tissue wet weight and LIS of the septic shock group was 60%, 90%, (1.55?0.17)g,and(8.00?2.54),respectively. In 5-FU group, these parameters were 0, 10%, (1.36 ? 0.14) g,and(5.20?2.39),respectively. Compared with septic shock group, the mortality and the ascites rate of 5-FU group were significantly decreased, and the lung tissue wet weight and LIS were improved.Conclusion 5-FU can decrease the ascites rate, relieve inflammation and tissue damage.

Objective To investigate the effect of different doses of ambroxol on efficacy and lung function of elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods 200 patients with COPD were selected.They were divided into two groups randomly.The high dose group (102 cases) were given anmbroxol hydrochloride in high doses.The low dose group (98 cases) were given anmbroxol hydrochloride in low doses.The effect of different doses of ambroxol on efficacy and lung function of elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease was evaluated by the efficacy,TNF-α,CRP,pulmonary function indexes and adverse reaction during treatment.Results The effective rate was 89.2％ in the high dose group and 75.5％ in the low dose group.The effective rate of high dose group was higher than that of the low dose group (P ＜ 0.05).Before treatment,there were no statistical significance on CRP and TNF-α between two groups.After treatment,the CRP and TNF-α were decreased in two groups and lower in the high dose group (P ＜ 0.05).Before treatment,there were no statistical significance on FVC,FEV1 and FEV1/FVC％ between two groups.After treatment,FVC,FEV1 and FEV1/FVC were increased and higher in the high dose group (P ＜ 0.05).During treatment,there were no statistical significance on adverse reaction between two groups.Conclusion High dose of ambroxol was effective and safe for COPD.It could reduce inflammation and improve pulmonary ventilation with clinical use.

Breast cancer (BC) is the most common cancer of women worldwide. Over the past 20 years, the incidence and mortality rates of BC have increased and have ranked the first place of the female cancer in our country. In the theory of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), etiology and pathogenesis of BC have long been recognized. Base on these basic theories, TCM physicians have developed their typical opinions on BC treatment. Liver depression has been considered as the key point and the main syndrome type in BC syndrome differentiation. It showed the impor-tance of liver depression syndrome in breast cancer and provided ideas for clinical treatment. With the development of modern science, several experimental and clinical studies have found that liver depression syndrome is closely related to BC. Further study on liver depression syndrome in BC procession may not only helpful to screen high-risk BC groups and improve the early diagnosis rate but also helpful to find new drug targets.

To compare the therapy, manifestations (such as body temperature, chest X-ray image and immunologic indexes, etc.) and prognosis in severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) patients with and without diabetes mellitus. The results suggested that rational use of glucocorticoid is important in curing SARS, and the recovery of cellular immune function and pulmonary lesion is slower in the diabetic SARS patients.

Objective: To analyze the service efficiencies of private hospitals in a Chinese city using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method,and to discuss the problems existing in the management strategy of the hospitals. Methods: The management data of all the private hospitals were obtained by questionnaire survey and the parameters and samples were selected. DEA method was used to assess the service efficiencies of 58 private hospitals. Results: There were obvious differences on different aspects during their development between different hospitals. The total validities, the technical validities, and scale validities were obviously different. Twelve hospitals achieved total validity, 23 achieved technical validity, and 14 achieved scale validity. Conclusion: Most of the private hospitals in the city have defects in scale and technical validities. In order to achieve total validity in service efficiency, the private hospitals have to pay more attention to balanced development of technique and scale, while considering their own situation.
