Objective To study the roles of regulated upon activation normal T cell expressed and secreted(RANTES) and monocyte cbemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) in human immunodeficien- cy virus-1(HIV 1) infected patients. Methods RANTES and MCP-1 in HIV-1 infected patients, including treated and untreated groups, and healthy control group were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The recombinant plasmids,hMCP-pcDNA3.1,bRANTES- peDNA3.1 and hMCP/bRANTES-pcDNA3.1,were constructed and transfected into CHO cells to overexpress the corresponding recombinant proteins, whose chemoattract function was then studied. Results The level of RANTES was (164.3?21.3) pg/mL in healthy control group,(1 224.1?62.0) pg/mL in untreated group and (475.3?36.2) pg/mL in treated group. The level of MCP-1 was (90.6?28.5) pg/mL in healthy control group,(335.0?30.3) pg/mL in untreated group and (807.2?62.6) pg/mL in treated group. In HIV-1 infected patients, the levels of RANTES and MCP-1 were significantly increased. After highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART),the level of RANTES declined, but MCP-1 increased further.Western blot assay revealed that the three recombinant proteins could be recognized by monoclonal antibodies respectively. All of them could chemoattract human peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs).And the chemoattractant potency of MCP/RANTES fusion protein was stronger. When the recombinant proteins were used with con- centrations as 50,200,400 and 800 pg/mL,respectively,the number of PBMCs chemoattracted by MCP/RANTES fusion protein was 52?10~4/mL,102?10~4/mL,132?10~4/mL and 184?10~4/mL; the number of PBMCs chemoattracted by RANTES was 27?10~4/mL,51?10~4/mL,65?10~4/mL and 96?10~4/mL;the number of PBMCs chemoattracted by MCP-1 was 18?10~4/mL,44?10~4/mL, 54?10~4/mL and 74?10~4/mL.Conclusion RANTES and MCP-1 may both be involved in the HIV infection process and host immunological reaction against HIV.

Objective To study the application of continuous infusion of remifentanil combined with propofol with different velocity du-ring induction of general anesthesia in elderly patients. Methods Sixty elderly patients were divided into 4 groups randomly(n=15) and given remifentanil with continuous infusion rate of 0.1,0.15,0.2 and 0.3 ?g?kg-1?min-1,respectively.After given midazolam and propofol, remifentanil infusion started with different velocity.Three minutes later, vecuronium was given and intubation performed 2 min later. After that, propofol infusion rate was adjusted according to the changes of blood pressure and kept at 4 mg?kg-1?h-1 5 min before incision.Blood pressure(BP),heart rate(HR),intubation score(following Grant's method) and all side effects and adjuvant drugs used were recorded. Results Grant scores in all patients were less than 8.Atropine and ephedrine were given more in large dose groups and with decreasing of usage of propofol.HR decreased markedly in 0.3 ?g?kg-1?min-1 group after remifentanil began(P

Thermogravimetry (TG), TG-MS, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscope (SEM)-energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS) were adopted to investigate the pyrolysis characteristics of calamina. According to the findings of the qualitative and quantitative studies on the changes in the content of relevant elements, the whole shape, the functional groups, and the volatile components of calamina before and after being pyrolyzed, the 200-360, 580-750 degrees C were two sensitive temperature ranges related to the changes in effective component during calamina processing. Thermal weight loss was observed for ZnCO3, Zn(OH)2 and ZnCO3-2Zn(OH)2-H2O under 200-360 degrees C and for CaCO3 under 580-750 degrees C. The results of studies on chemical reaction kinetics showed good linear relations. This experiment integrated relevant methods and theories of physical chemistry and science of traditional Chinese medicine processing, and interpretes calamina processing techniques and mechanism, in order to provide a good example for modem studies on other traditional Chinese medicine processing.

4.Relationship of Job Stress, Hardness, and Burnout among Emergency Room Nurses.
Korean Journal of Occupational Health Nursing 2014;23(1):11-19
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of job stress, hardness and burnout among emergency room nurses. METHODS: The subjects were 110 emergency room nurses from three university hospital and three general hospital, with more than 500 beds, in G city and J region. Data collection was done from October 11 to November 12, 2010. RESULTS: The score of job stress was 3.8 out of 5 point, the score of hardness was 2.6 out of 4 point, and the score of burnout was 3.3 out of 5 point. Burnout was found to be in a significant positive correlation with job stress and significant negative correlation with hardness. The main predictors of burnout were to hardness, job stress and night duty, and these variables explained 45.2% about burnout. CONCLUSION: In conclusion, the higher job stress was in higher burnout and the higher hardness was in the lower burnout. It is necessary to create improvement ways and programs to reduce and prevent burnout of emergency room nurses.

Objective To evaluate the effect of novel modified bipolar radiofrequency(RF) ablation for preoperative atrial fibrillation(AF) combined with off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting(OPCABG) for patients with AF and coronary artery disease(CAD).Methods From January 2007 to January 2014, 49 patients with AF, and CAD underwent the novel modified bipolar RF ablation combined with OPCABG in our department, 29 males and 20 females(11 paroxysmal, 19 persistent and 19 long-standing persistent). The patients were followed up with 24 hours Holter monitoring and echocardiography for (37.89 ± 18.1) months after the procedure. Results There were no perioperative death, serve low cardiac output syndrome or permanent pacemaker implantation.Mean AF ablation time was(33.2 ± 5.2) min, and the mean OPCABG time was(90.3 ± 16.6) min.Mean ICU stay time was(4.7 ± 2.5) days, and mean postoperative time was(14.5 ± 6.1) days. The maintenance of sinus rhythm was 93.9% (46/49) at discharge, while the rate was 83.7 % (41/49) one year later.Follow-up echocardiography data at 6 months postoperatively showed that left atrial diameter was significantly reduced and left ventricular ejection fraction was significantly increased. Conclusion The novel modified bipolar RF ablation combined with OPCABG procedure was safe, feasible and effective. It may be useful in selecting the best ablation approaches for patients with AF and CAD.
