1.Research advances in thermochemotherapy of drug-loaded magnetic micro/nano-particles

Thermochemotherapy by drug-loaded magnetic micro/nano-particles is attracting increasing attention because it combines the advantages of chemotherapy and high targeting and selectivity of hyperthermia,especially intra-cellular hyperthermia.Magnetic micro/nano-particles,usually consisting of biodegradable pely-mers matrics co-incorporated with ferromagnetic particles and anti-cancer drugs,will generate heat when exposed to an externally applied alternating magnetic fields due to electromagnetic induction by ferro-particles,in the meanwhile,sensitivity of anti-cancer drug will be greatly enhanced by higher temperature.Tumors will greatly suppressed by the synergetic effect of chemotherapy and targeted hyperthermia.

3.Pathological changes of the optic nerve in EAE

Objective:To dynamically observe the pathological changes of the optic nerve in EAE.Methods:The animal model was established in Wistar rat.The experiment rats were randomly divided into 8,12,18,and 30day groups.The changes of optic nerve were observed using light and electron microscopes.Results:Under light microscope,the optic nerve fibers showed bulb-like degeneration,the axis irregularity swelling,phlegmonosis cell infiltrating,a quantity of glial cell and collagen tissue formed hyperplastic tissue.Under electron microscopy,the axons showed bulb-like degeneration,myelin sheaths were loose,microtubule and microfilament disappeared.Conclusion:Demyelination occurs in the optic nerve of EAE.By establishing the EAE animail model,we can see the pathological changes of the optic nerve in EAE,which can provide evidences for clinical threatment of this disease.

Heparanase (HPA) is a β-D-endoglycosidase of the only degradation of heparan sulfate proteoglycans in extracellular matrix in mammals.The related studies in recent years have suggested that HPA is closely associated with the formation and development of atherosclerotic plaques,and may be associated with the conversion from stable to unstable plaques.This article reviews the related studies of HPA in atherosclerosis progression,such as promoting plaque inflammatory response,synergy with proteolytic enzymes,and involving in hypercoagulable states,etc.
5.Relationship between retinal vascular occlusion and carotid artery atherosclerotic plaque by color Doppler ultrasonography

Objective To explore the relationship between retinal vascular occlusion and carotid artery atherosclerotic (CAA) plaque by color Doppler ultrasonography.Methods Carotid artery color Doppler ultrasonography was performed in 65 patients with retinal vascular occlusion (case group) and 50normal controls (control group).To acknowledge the role of the CAA plaque in the ocurrence of retinal vascular occlusion by the detection rate of CAA plaque and stenosis degree of carotid arteries.Results The detection rate of CAA plaque was 64.62%(42/65) in case group,which was higher than that in control group [22.00%(11/50)],and there was significant difference (P<0.05).Mild stenosis had 34 cases,moderate stenosis had 6 cases,severe stenosis had 2 cases in case group,and 8,3,0 case respectively in control group.There was significant difference in stenosis degree of carotid arteries between two groups (P < 0.05).Conclusions CAA plaque is closely related to the ocurrence of retinal vascular occlusion.Color Doppler ultrasonography is the simplest and most effective method to monitor CAA plaque which has clinical significance in prevention and treatment of retinal vascular occlusion.
6.Sonography of gallbladder adenomyoma and pathologic correlation

Objective To explore the features of gallbladder adenomyoma in sonogram, and improve the abilities of diagnosis and differential diagnosis. Method Sonograms of 8 patients with proven gallbladder adenomyoma were retrospectively analyzed and correlated with pathologic findings. Results Eight patients had sonographic evidence of localized intramural nodular,which were round-like and hypoechoic,with anechoic space and tiny bright echos, confined almost exclusively to the fundus of gallbladder. Five patients were also evident with associated gallstones and chronic cholecytitis. Conclusion Sonograms of gallbladder adenomyoma have marked features, which can be differentially diagnosed from other projective lesions of gallbladder.

In the article, it thinks that moral lacking of advertisement is the basic reason which leads to intensified illegal medical advertisement. The main reasons for moral lacking of advertisement: imperfect legal system of medical advertisement, indifferent ethical consciousness of medical advertisement, insufficient social supervision of medical advertisement. Therefore, we should perfect the legislation, establish the correct advertising moral concept, improve the quality of advertising employees, and realize the function of social supervision fully.

Objective:The protective effects of grape procyanidins (GPC) on free radical induced endothelial cell damage were investigated. Methods:Human umbilical vein vascular endothelial cells (ECV304) were cultured in GPC of different doses. Oxidative injury was caused by Fenton system, and MTT method was used to test cell proliferation when cells were cultured 12, 24, 36, 48 h, respectively, MDA and SOD in cells were also determinated 30 min after Fenton system was added.
