Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(07):-
Objective To study the effects of different n-6/n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid ratio on the lipid metabolic gene expression and MAPK activity in breast cancer cell lines. Methods MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells were treated with n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid, or n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid, or the mixture of n-6/n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid at ratio of 1∶1, 5∶1, 10∶1. The cell proliferation capacity was detected by MTT, the expression of lipid metabolic gene (COX-2, 5-LOX, PPAR? and PPAR?) were assayed by RT-PCR, MAPK phosphorylation levels were detected by Western blotting. Results COX-2 mRNA expression was not found in MCF-7 cells. As compared to normal control group, pure n-6 and 10∶1 n-6/n-3 promoted cell proliferation, up-regulated the expression of COX-2, 5-LOX, PPAR? and PPAR? mRNA , increased MAPK phosphorylation levels in MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells (P

RESULTS:The symptoms of hand limb swelling in 2 groups were obviously improved(P<0.01 or P<0.05),however,observa-tion group was better than that of control group, with significant difference(P<0.05);after treatment, the swelling, perimeter of suffered limb and swelling score in observation group were lower than control group, with significant differences(P<0.05);the to-tal effective rate in observation group was 94.91% and control group was 83.05%,with significant difference(P<0.05). No ADR was found in 2 groups. CONCLUSIONS:Puerarin combination with β-aescine sodium has obvious efficacy and safety in the treat-ment of postoperative edema of hand trauma.
4.Two Fast-imaging MRI Sequences in the Diagnosis of Placenta Implantation
Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging 2015;(11):858-861
Purpose Placenta implantation (PI) is a rare but severe pregnancy complication, and imaging diagnosis is always difficult. This paper aims to explore the ideal fast-imaging MRI sequences for PI and to provide high quality images for diagnosis. Materials and Methods The MRI images of 21 cases with pathology confirmed PI were retrospectively analyzed. Prenatal MRI of 2D fast-imaging employing steady-state acquisition (2D FIESTA) and single-shot fast spin echo (SSFSE) sequences were performed, and the imaging quality rating and the accuracy in detecting PI were compared. Results Satisfactory images were acquired in 71.4% (15/21) of the patients using 2D FIESTA, and 38.1% (8/21) using SSFSE with statistically significant difference (χ2=4.790, P<0.05). The MRI features of PI included placenta heterogeneity, low-signal-intensity bands, abnormal placental vascularity, uterine junction zone interruption, placental tissue invading the myometrium, placenta tissue into uterine serosa, and the detection rates of 2D FIESTA and SSFSE sequences on the above features were 57.1%, 57.1%, 28.6%, 61.9%, 66.7% and 14.2%, respectively; 90.4%, 71.4%, 38.1%, 42.9%, 28.6% and 6.5%, respectively. The detection rates of placenta heterogeneity and placental tissue invading the myometrium using these two sequences are statistically different (χ2=4.560 and 6.109, P<0.05). Conclusion The images quality of 2D FIESTA sequence is higher than those of the SSFSE sequence. 2D FIESTA sequence shows better delineation of the border of the placenta and uterine, and SSFSE sequence shows better contrasts of the placenta;therefore, combining these two can improve MRI diagnostic value for PI.

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2014;34(10):1202-1206
OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of xuebijing Injection (XI) on perioperative coagulation and inflammatory reaction in senile patients receiving total hip arthroplasty (THA).
METHODSTotally eighty patients receiving THA at Luoyang Orthopedics Hospital, 65 to 85 years old, were randomly assigned to the control group (40 cases) and the treatment group (40 cases). All patients received routine perioperative therapies. Those in the treatment group received XI (adding 50 mL XI in 100 mL normal saline, 30 min each time). XI was continually injected after THA, twice daily for 3 successive days. Blood samples were harvested on the morning of the 2nd admission day (TO), immediately after operation (T1), on the morning of the 3rd day after operation (T3), and on the morning of the 5th day after operation (T4) to detect prothrombin time (PT), thrombin time (TT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), levels of FIB and D-dimer (D-D), changes of white blood cell (WBC), neutrophils (N), C-reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), and IL-6. Complications of surgery were compared between the two groups.
RESULTSThere was no statistical difference in operation time, intraoperative blood loss, and blood transfusion between the two groups (P >0.05). Compared with TO in the same group, WBC, N, CRP, ESR, IL-6, PT, TT, and D-D all increased in the control group at T1-T4 (P < 0.05); APTT increased at T1-T2 (P <0.05); FIB increased at T1-T3 (P <0.05). WBC, N, IL-6, PT, and D-D all increased in the treatment group at T1-T3 (P <0.05); CRP and ESR increased at T1-T4 (P < 0.05); TT increased at T1-T2 (P <0.05); APTT and FIB increased at T1 (P <0.05). Compared with the control group at the same time period, WBC, N, CRP, and IL-6 all decreased in the treatment group at T1-T4 (P <0.05), ESR decreased at T3-T4 (P <0.05); PT and TT decreased at T1-T3 (P <0.05); FIB and D-D decreased at T2-T4 (P<0.05). The occurrence of each complication was significantly lower in the treatment groups than in the control group.
CONCLUSIONXI could improve the perioperative high coagulation state of senile THA patients, inhibit inflammatory reactions, and reduce complications.
