1.Applications of capsular bag model in posterior capsular opacification
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2016;34(3):276-279
Posterior capsular opacification (PCO),also known as after-cataract,is the most frequent complication and the primary cause for visual decrease after extracapsular cataract surgery. At present, there is no effective way to treat PCO,so more attentions are focused on preventive reseaching of PCO and treatment methods.Although a variety of studies have increased our understanding of the pathogenesis of PCO,the cellular mechanisms responsible for PCO are still unclear.Cultured capsular bag model in vitro could effectively simulate lens capsular membrane and cells survival environment after cataract extraction and IOL implantation. However, lens capsular bag cultivation with different methods have their own characreristics. The material source, preparation methods of capsular bag model, characreristics of materials which maintain capsular bag contours and its application in PCO were reviewed.
2.Research progress of the new tumor suppressor gene SLC5A8
International Journal of Surgery 2013;40(8):547-550
Current research suggests that SLC5A8 is a new candidate tumor-suppressor gene whose expression is reduced or deficient in human thyroid cancer, esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, colon cancer and acute myeloid leukemia. The gene is in human chromosomes 12q13-23,and encoding proteins that belongs to the members of the family of sodium/glucose transporters. It is sodium-coupled carrier that transfer short chain fatty acid, lactic acid, nicotinic acid and iodide. The exon 1 of GPG island methylation and histone acetylation can make SLC5A8 gene express silenced and promote the occurrence of tumor.of all transporter substrates of SLC5A8 expresses, butyrate, propionate and pyruvate function as histone deacetylase inhibitors and can be mediated apoptosis of many kinds of tumor cells, which may be the mechanism of inhibiting tumor.

International Eye Science 2009;9(11):2050-2053
AIM:To investigate the inhibitory effect of rabbit lens epithelial cell(RLEC)survival and growth by propylene glycol mannate sulfate(PGMS)on the rabbit capsular bag in vitro.METHODS;Capsular bags were prepared from rabbit eyes after extracapsular cataract extraction(ECCE)and incubated in 0.2,0.4,0.8g/L PGMS in 2,5,10 minutes incubation periods. After treatment, the capsular bags were cultured for 7 days in Dulbecco minimum essential medium(DMEM)supplemented with 50mL/L fetal calf serum(FCS).The specimens were examined with light microscopy and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).Capsular bags without receiving PGMS only served as controls.RESULTS:PGMS inhibited the proliferation of RLEC in the manner of concentration and time dependentment. At the threshold protocol of incubation in PGMS at 0.8g/L for 5 or 10 minutes, proliferative activity of cells were largely arrested and nearly no RLEC was seen on the posterior capsule(P<0.05).Control group had no effect on structure and proliferative activity of RLEC,and the growth proceeded rapidly so that the posterior capsule were totally covered by a confluent monolayer of cell by the end of 7 days.Under TEM,the cells in the control group were tightly arrayed with clearly defined cellular boundary and structure;while cellular deformity and undefined intracellular structure could be seen in the 0.4g/L and 0.8g/L experimental groups.CONCLUSION:PGMS can effectively inhibit the proliferation of RLEC.

Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis 2008;20(1):53-56,70
A numerical model is developed in this paper to calculate the bending moments of flexural members through integration in 3D solid finite element analyses according to the nonlinear constitutive model of concrete and the elastoplastic constitutive model of steel, utilizing the stress condition of the cross-section, considering the destruction characteristic of reinforced concrete members, and based on the plane cross-section assumption. The results of this model give good agreement with those of the classical method. Consequently, we can also deduce the corresponding numerical expression for eccentrically loaded members according to the analysis method.

Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(02):-
Objective To study the relationship between static duration and bacteria reproduction of pure water from the RO purifier. Methods The original structure of RO purifier was modified by installing additional UV lights and ozone disinfector respectively. Bacteria reproduction in the effluent from RO purifier and modified RO purifier was detected after different static duration. Results The total count of bacteria in the fresh pure water was 20 cfu/ml which was up to the standard of pure drinking water CJ 94-1999. However the total count of bacteria in the pure water will be more than 50 cfu/ml after the pure water was stored inside the tank for six hours, which was not up to the standard of CJ 94-1999. Both ultraviolet rays and ozone could prolong the static duration of pure water, and the efficacy of ultraviolet rays was better than ozone. Conclusion UV light should be installed in RO purifier, the disinfected pure water by UV should be used in 16 hours after disinfection.
