As an important mediator of allergic inflammation, mast cell tryptase is involved in the induction of hypersensitivity, infiltration of inflammatory cells and tissue remodeling in respiratory tract. The effects of tryptase inhibitors on the actions of tryptase show further the potential of tryptase in the pathogenesis of asthma and its inhibitors in the treatment of asthma.

Objective To investigate the expression of spleen tyrosine kinase (Syk) in endometrial cancer ( EC ) and its relationship with the clinic and pathological factors , as well as the diagnostic value for EC . Methods Through real-time PCR and immunohistochemistry, the expression level of Sky mRNA and protein in normal endometrial tissues, atypical hyperplasia of endometrial tissues and endometrial cancer tissues were examined. Results The expression of Syk in EC were lower than that in endometrial atypical hyperplasia and normal endometrium (P < 0.05). The expression of Syk was related to histological grade, invasive depth, lymphatic metastasis and clinical stages (P<0.05). Conclusion Syk contributes to tumorigenesis and metastasis of EC. The detection of Syk can provide evidence to evaluate the malignancy grade of EC.

Objective To investigate the guidance value of procalcitonin(PCT) dynamic measurement on antibiotics usage of patients with stroke associated pneumonia(SAP).Methods One hundred and thirty-two cases with SAP were randomly divided into control group(64 cases with regular treatment) and observation group (68 cases with procalcitonin dynamic monitoring treatment).The treatment course of antibiotics in control group was according to antibiotics guidelines in China.Patients in observation group were given antibiotics for 5 days,stopped if the level of PCT was less than 0.25 μg/L,and continued to take if the level of PCT was more than 0.25 μg/L.The information were recorded including periods and cost of antibiotics usage,the periods and costs of hospitalization,clinical efficacy,mortality on the 30th day.The score of Institutes of National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Barthel index (BI) were measured.Results (1) There were no significant differences in terms of age,gender,hypertension rate,coronary heart disease rate,diabetes rate,systolic blood pressure,the score of NIHSS in admission,pathogen and antibiotics between two groups (P ＞ 0.05).(2) After 30 days treatment,there were no significant differences in terms of clinical efficacy(86.8％ (59/68) vs.87.5％(56/64)),mortality (7.4％ (5/68) vs.7.8％ (5/64)),the score of NIHSS ((12.3 ±5.8) vs.(11.7 ± 4.5)) and BI (60.9 ± 22.3 vs 58.7 ± 21.6) between observation group and control group (P ＞ 0.05).The periods of hospitalization in observation group was (20.1 ± 5.1) d,less than that of control group ((25.4± 6.0) d,t =5.479,P ＜ 0.01).The costs of hospitalization in observation group was (8 ± 6) thousand yuan,significant lower than that of control group ((12 ± 8) thousand yuan,t =3.262,P ＜ 0.01).The periods of antibiotics usage in observation group was (11.3 ± 2.6) d,less than that of control group ((14.4 ± 3.1) d,t =6.238,P ＜ 0.01).The costs of antibiotics in observation group was (3 ± 1) thousand yuan,significant lower than that of control group ((5 ± 2) thousand yuan,t =7.331,P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion PCT dynamic monitoring can guide the safe usage of antibiotics in SAP in terms of shortening the length of hospitalization,duration of antibiotics,and reducing the costs.

Objective:To investigate if transforming growth factor-?1 (TGF-?1) induces apoptosis in odontoblast cell line MDPC-23. Methods:MDPC-23 cells were treated with TGF-?1 at 0.5,2.5 or 10 ng/ml for 48 h,apoptosis of MDPC-23 cells was detected by annexin V and propidium iodide (PI) staining, cell death detection ELISA and DNA electrophoretic analysis. Results: Consistent results were obtained from three different methods.TGF-?1 at 0.5-10 ng/ml induced apoptosis of MDPC-23 cells in a dose-dependent manner. Conclusion:TGF-?1 may paly a role in apoptosis of odontoblasts.

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and management of congenital hypertrophic pyloric stenosis (CHPS) associated with intestinal malrotation (IM) in infants.Methods The clinical data of 6 cases with CHPS and IM admitted in our hospital from Jan 2003 to Dec 2009 were reviewed,including clinical presentation,symptoms and information of imageology.Results Through barium meal examination and sonography,4 cases were diagnosed CHPS and IM,pyloromyotomy and Ladd's procedure were performed;two cases were diagnosed CHPS,only pyloromyotomy was done,secondary operation was performed for recrudescence of vomiting.All the cases were followed up for 1 to 3 years with good prognosis.Conclusion The etiology of CHPS with IM isn't clear.The diagnosis of IM may be delayed because the symptoms of IM can be masked by that of CHPS.It is helpful for diagnosis of this disease to have barium meal and sonography examination.Good prognosis will be achieved if prompt preoperative diagnosis and operation can be done.

Objective:To study the Clinical efficacy of combined therapy of adenosylcobalamin and transcutaneous eletrical nerve stimulation(TENS)in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia(PHN).Method:Sixty patients with PHN were randomly divided into 3 groups:group A treated with TENS.group B treated with adenosylcobalamin,group C treated with adenosylcobalamin and TENS based on the management of groups A and B.The three groups had all been treated for 10d.Result:In observation,visual analogue scale(VAS)and 5 grade pain scores of group C were lower than those of groups A and B;VAS and 5 grade pain scores differences of group C were higher than those of groups A and B:The effective rate of group C(100%)was higher than that of groups A and B respectively.The differences were significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Combined therapy of adenosylcobalamin and TENS is effective for the treatment of PHN and can alleviate pain and improve sleep.

Deseription was given of the effect of electric acupuncture of Neiguan point on the flexion reflex potential (FRP) of the hindlimbs and the dorsal root potential (DRP). On the intact and awake rats, the graded train stimulation (three pulses, 5ms interval, 0.5ms duration) was given to the sural nerve (a pure cutancous n(?), the C-FRP and C-DRP with their proper amplitudes (70～80% maximum) were obtained on the hamstring nerve (a group of nerves innervating the hindlimb flexors) and L5 dorsal root respectively. Then the electric acupuncture with low freqency and low intensity (4Hz, 1～3V)and low freqency and high intensity ( 4Hz, 20～40V), lasting 5 minutes, was given to the ipsilateral Neiguan point. After acupuncture, the amplitudes of both C-FRP and C-DRP decreased without change of their latebcues. The former one declined heavier and recovered slower than the latter one did. The A-FRP and A-DRP were not affected. Te result of the experiment suggests that the ipsilatcral Neiguan point cletric acupuncture can induce hindlimb's analgesia, the presynaptic inhibition might be involved in the mechanism of such analgesia.

On the intact and awake rat, the flexion reflex potential (FRP)and dorsal root potential (DRP) induced by stimulation of the cutaneous nerve with graded intensity stimulations to the sural nerve (a pure cutaneous nerve) were observed, there appeared A-FRP and C-FRP one after the other on the hamstring nerve (a group of nerves innervating the hindlimb flexors), and A-DRP and C-DRP on the L_5 dorsal root at the same time. The threshold and the latencices of A-FRP and A-DRP had no differences, and had significant positive correlations. The amplitudes of A-FRP and A-DRP increased simultaneously with the increase of the stimulating intensity in certain range. The threshold and latency of C-FRP are larger than those of C-DRP. The threshold and the latency of the C-FRP and C-DRP showed significant positive correlation. The amplitudes of C-FRP and C-DRP increased simultaniously with the increase of the stimulating intensity in certain range. The train stimuli (three pulses, 5ms interval, 0. 5ms duration) induced larger FRP and DRP than those induced by single stimulus. Thus, FRP and DRP both have the property of temporal summation.

In this article, the plasma half life of IL-2 and its bio-distribution were studied using radio-nucleus Technetium-99M labeled IL-2. The results showed the plasma half life of IL-2 was merely 10 minutes mainly due to IL-2 distribute to its target organ such as liver, kidney etc,rather than clear out of the body. Our results indicated that IL-2 is a high organ-specific drug. It's plasma half life is short under high concentration in its target organ. So it might have advantages of high effectiveness and low whole body toxicity in treatment of tumor of liver and kidney.
