Philippine Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2020;44(4):34-36
The impact of the pandemic, caused by SARS-CoV-2, on the management of malignancies has posed several challenges. Gestational trophoblastic diseases, being considered highly curative, are categorized as emergent cases which need immediate intervention with a level I priority for chemotherapy for its malignant spectrum.
These guidelines have been drawn up to assist in decision-making and the implementation of such are dependent on the capabilities of each institution combined with their local experience.
2.Dynamic studies on physiological and biochemical changes during fruit development of Panax notoginseng
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(07):-
Objective The physiological and biochemical changes were studied during the Panax notoginseng′s fruit development. Methods Dynamic changes of fruits size, fresh and dry weight, moisture content and soluble sugar, starch and protein contents were investigated. Results The moisture content was increased first and then dropped to 73.37% at maturity. The fresh and dry weight, starch and protein contents of P.notoginseng′s fruits were increased with the fruit development. The soluble sugar content was raised first, then decreased, and increased slightly at the lateral stage of fruit development. Conclusion The P.notoginseng′s fruits are mature at 80 d after peak anthesis;the decrease of moisture content is companied with the gradual increasing of fruit fresh and dry weight during the fruit development. The storage and utilization of nutrients in P.notoginseng′s fruits are closely related with the fruit development.
3.Development and verification of plaque method for detection of tick-borne encephalitis virus titer
Chinese Journal of Biologicals 2023;36(2):207-
Objective To develop and verify a plaque method for detection of infectious titer of tick-borne encephalitis virus(TBEV)strain(PHKT strain for short)adapted to primary hamster kidney(PHK)cells. Methods PHK cells were infected with TBEV,a primary mouse brain adaption strain, and passed consecutively for 12 passages. The titer of PHKT was detected by plaque method(Monolayer BHK-21 cells were infected with PHKT of various passages at different dilution ratios, and the plaque number was calculated by neutral red staining)and challenge titration in mouse brain(Mice were challenged with PHKT of various passages at different dilution ratios through brain cavity,0.03 mL for each, observed continuously for 14 days, and calculated for the median lethal dose(LD50)by Reed-Muench method)respectively, and the correlation between the results of two methods was analyzed. The developed plaque method for the detection of TBEV titer was verified for specificity, repeatability and intermediate precision. Results The plaque titer of PHKT virus was up to8.9 lgPFU/mL;The correlation between the results of plaque method and mouse brain challenge titration method was good(r = 0.92);The specificity of plaque method for detecting infectious titer of PHKT virus was good, and the coefficients of variation(CVs)of repeatability and intermediate precision were both less than 5%.Conclusion A plaque method for detecting infectious titer of PHKT virus was developed, which may be used as an alternative method for challenge titration in mouse brain.
4.Relationship between STAT3 and tumor
Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(1):18-20
At present, research of genes and signal transduction pathway for etiology and pathogenesy of diseases is a hot topic.STAT3 signal transduction plays an important role in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, survival and apoptosis. As a point of convergence for numerous oneogenie signaling pathways,STAT3 is constitutively activated in diverse human cancer cells.Current study suggest that activation of STAT3 signal transduction is closely related to the currence, development and malignant biological behaviors of tumor.STAT3 has been identified as a promising target for cancer treatment.
5.Research progress of relationship between myelodysplastic syndromes and iron overload
Cancer Research and Clinic 2014;26(3):209-211
Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) is a highly heterogeneous group of clonal disease, which is derived from hematopoietic.stem cells.Anemia is the main manifestation of most MDS patients and transfusion is required in about 90 % patients.Long-term blood transfusions can lead to iron overload (IOL).IOL can damage the iron balance, and excess free iron can deposite in the heart, liver and other vital organs, resulting in structural damage and organ dysfunction, which can deteriorate the prognosis, accelerate the transformation into acute myeloid leukemia, and increase the mortality.Iron chelation can improve the prognosis of patients with IOL,and prolong the overall survival and leukemia-free survival.
6.The relationship of convulsion related brain damage and cell autophagy
International Journal of Pediatrics 2013;40(5):485-488
Autophagy is a lysosomal degradation of intracellular material composition, and plays an important role in nerve cell survival and clear senescent cells and misfolded proteins.Autophagy can protect nerve cells, but also can be used as one of the ways about nerve death.Repeated seizures can cause brain damage, but the specific mechanism is not clear.Recent studies have shown that, convulsion can activate apoptosis pathway and start autophagy, which can mediate the adaptation, injury or apoptosis of neurons.Convulsion brain injury is closely related to cell autophagy.Autophagy as a new important signaling pathway can provide a new therapeutic direction of convulsion brain damage.
7.Application of Ridit method with consideration of medical risk in clinical departments'performance appraisal
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2015;(3):214-216
Objective To develop a fair performance appraisal method for clinical departments,as a reference for grading performance pay. Methods Ridit method with consideration of medical risks is used to evaluate clinical departments'performance. Results Both quality of care and medical risk are graded and overlaid,to arrive at the comprehensive values on which the performance pay is divided into grades Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,and Ⅳ.In this practice, values 7 ~8 is grade Ⅰ,6 grade Ⅱ,4 ~ 5 grade Ⅲ,and 2~3 gradeⅣ.Conclusion A fair and justifiable department performance evaluation system that is based on performance proves vital for the sustainable development of the hospital. Ridit method with consideration of medical risk evaluation advocates the performance appraisal principle of encouraging better performance, high risk and high efficiency.

9.Literature Analysis of Adverse Drug Reactions Induced by Mannitol
China Pharmacy 2007;0(32):-
OBJECTIVE:To study the general pattern and characteristics of the adverse drug reactions (ADR) induced by mannitol.METHODS:The literature related to the ADR induced by mannitol reported during 1999~2008 retrieved from CNKI was analyzed statistically.RESULTS:A total of 135 mannitol-induced ADR cases were collected,of which, males showed higher proportion than females, and the ADRs chiefly manifested as acute renal failure(30 cases,22.22%),followed by allergic reactions(17 cases,12.59%) and shock(17 cases,12.59%).CONCLUSION:Clinicians should tighten monitoring on the use of mannitol to reduce the occurrence of mannitol-induced ADR.
10.Application of Antibacterial Drugs in Patients with Open Fracture in One Hospital
China Pharmacy 1991;0(02):-
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the status quo of used antibacterial drugs in patients with open fracture in order to provide reference for clinical medication. METHODS:1 498 cases of open fracture in 2007 were analyzed statistically in respect of categories of antibiotic, application frequency of bacteria, result of bacteria culture, drug combination, usage and dosage and administration time, etc. RESULTS:In infection cases, patients were generally infected by Gram-negative bacteria and conducted drug combination for treatment and single drug for prevention. But some problems still occurred such as prophylactic use of antibiotics with high level, unreasonable drug combination, excessive dosage and long administration duration, etc. CONCLUSION:The ratio of antibacterial used in patients with open fracture reached up to 99.20%. The categories of used antibiotic were mainly ?-lactam,aminoglycosides and nitroimidazoles. There are many problems in the use of antibiotics in patients with open fracture, which should be standardized in administration.
