Calcific tendinitis of the shoulder joint is common disease causing acute pain, mainly involving the supraspinatus or infraspinatus muscle, and less frequently the teres minor or subscapularis muscle. This study reports on the satisfactory arthroscopic removal of calcium deposits as well as infraspinatus and supraspinatus muscle repair without relapse via minimal incision using suture anchors. This was a case of atypically extensive calcific tendinitis involving the infraspinatus muscle, with a bursal side partial rupture of the supraspinatus muscle in a 61-year-old female whose chief complaint was chronic pain of the right shoulder exacerbated by limited movement.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1974;12(2):25-31
Clinical studies on thirteen patients with Behcet's syndrome who had visited during the period from Jan. 1970 to Sep. 1973, to the Department of Dermatology & Ophthahnology, Busan National University Hospital, were made and the following results obtained. 1) The ratio of male vs. female was l. 0: l. 6 with no definite sexual differences. The ages ranged from 17 to 56 years with the peak incidence in third decade of life. 2) The "complete" form consisting of oculo- oro-genital and cutaneous lesions appeared in . 4 patients (30. 8%) and the "incomplet" in 9 patients (69. 2%). 3) Aphthous stomatitis was most predominant, being observed in 12 out of all 13 cases (92.3%), the next was cutaneous manifestations such as erythema nodosum, pyodermas, acneiform & pustular lesions and erythema multiforme in 10 cases (76. 1%) and genital ulcers in 9 cascs (69.2%). Ocular lesions and articular involvements came fourth, each being found in 8 cases (61. 5%). 4) The commonest feature of ocular involvement was relapsing iridocyclitis, being observed in 57. 7% and the disease led to a bilateral loss of vision in 38. 4% 5) Single or combined therapy including corticosteroids and antimicrobials gave transient conservative effects and was of no value to prevent recurrent attacks.

Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 2006;47(6):966-970
PURPOSE: To evaluate the clinical results of the auto-focusing low vision device (EYE FINE) in low vision patients. METHODS: We assessed the clinical effect after prescription of the device in 21 patients who visited the low vision clinic from July 2004 to January 2005. We examined visual acuity and contrast sensitivity before and after prescription. RESULTS: Mean distant visual acuity increased from 1.00+/-0.30 LogMAR to 0.69+/-0.34 LogMAR and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01). Mean near visual acuity increased from 0.89+/-0.25 LogMAR to 0.71+/-0.30 LogMAR (P<0.01). And mean contrast sensitivities at spatial frequencies of 1.5, 3, 6, 12 and 18 cycles per degree (cpd) increased from 7.9+/-4.5, 10.8+/-7.4, 10.5+/-9.6, 3.9+/-3.8 and 2.0+/-2.7 to 10.5+/-8.0, 15.1+/-10.6, 16.3+/-13.6, 6.5+/-7.3 and 2.5+/-3.0, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: EYE FINE offers the advantage of auto-focusing according to working distance.
