Objective To develop a new method for the determination of trace silver in water by flame atomic absorption(FAAS) after cloud point extraction. Methods Diethyldithiophosphate(DDTP) and triton X-114 were respectively used as the chelating agent and surfactant. The effects of experimental conditions such as acidity, concentration of chelating agent, surfactant and methanol, equilibration temperature and time, interference ion on cloud point extraction were investigated. Results Under the optimum condition,0.5 ml of 0.1 mol/L DDTP solution,0.5 ml of 50 g/L Triton X-114 and 5 ml of 1 mol/L hydrochloric acid were added and the volume was made up to 50 ml.The mixture was heated in a thermostatic bath at 40 ℃ for 15 min,the linear range of determination for silver was 0-100 ng/ml,the equation of linear regression was A = 0.005 8cAg+ 0.001 6,r = 0.999.The detection limit was 0.83 ng/ml,the recovery rate was in the range of 97%-105%,and the relative standard deviation was 3.1%(n=11) for 20 ng/ml Ag.There was no significant interference for silver solution containing 5 000 times of K+,Na+,Ca2,Mg2,NO3,SO4 + +-2-and Cl-,1 000 times of Al3+ and Zn2+,500 times of Fe2+ and Mn2+,100 times of Pb2+ and Cu2+.Conclusion The method is rapid, accurate, simple and applicable to the determination of trace silver in water samples.

Journal of Clinical Neurology 1995;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the dynamic changes of ATP content in rat cerebral cortex after transient ischemia followed by reperfusion and the relationship between the change of energy and the recovery of neural function. Methods The rats were subjected to 10 min of middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO). At the time point of 0 h, 1 h, 3 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h and 72 h after reperfusion, ATP contents of frontal and parietal cortex were measured by capillary zone electrophoresis. Results At the end of 10 min ischemia, ATP content fell dramatically to less than 20% of the control level. After reperfusion, ATP content recovered gradually. After 1 h, 3 h, 6 h and 12 h of reperfusion, ATP content returned to 70.5%, 65.7%, 84.8% and 86.9% of the control level ( P=0.052, 0.030, 0.332 and 0.491). From 24 h on until 72 h after reperfusion, ATP content decreased again, reaching half of the control level ( P=0.003 and P=0.023). After 10 min ischemia, limb function recovered gradually and completely at last. From 24 h on until 72 h after reperfusion, unwillingness of action and eating was found. Conclusions The recovery of cellular energy system function is delayed even though the reperfusion is in time after transient cerebral ischemia. Furthermore, secondary failure of cellular energy system function occurrs with the reperfusion proceeding. These phenomena are probably responsible for the delayed recovery of neural function after cerebral ischemia in spite of reperfusion.

Aim:To prepare vinblastine-loaded PCL-PEG_(6000)-PCL nanoparticles, and to study their physicochemi-cal properties and in vitro antitumor activity. Methods: PCL-PEG_(6000)-PCL triblock copolymer was prepared by ring-opening polymerization, and vinblastine-loaded PCL-PEG_(6000)-PCL nanoparticles was prepared by coprecipita-tion.The morphous, particle size, polydisperse index, particle yield, the drag-loading content, the encapsulation ef-ficiency and in vitro release rate of these vinblastine-loaded nanoparticles were determined. The cytotoxicity of vinblastine-loaded nanoparticles to K562/A02 leukimia cell line was determined by MTT assay. Results: It was found using transmission electron microscopy(TEM)that the nanoparticles exhibited a spherical shape with core-shell structure. The particle sizes of the nanoparticles obtained by dynamic light scattering were(185 ± 2.7)nm.The drug loading content and the encapsulation efficiency were determined to be 28.83% and 86.52%,re-spectively.In vitro release study revealed that more than 70% of accumulative release of entrapped vinblastine was reached in 9 hr and that nearly complete release was achieved in 24 hr.The inhibition of vinblastine-loaded nanoparticles to K562/A02 cell line was significantly increased as compared with that of the same dose of sulfate vinblastine solution. Conclusions: PCL-PEG-PCL nanoparticles could be used as a carrier of vinblastine, and the prepared nanoparticles exhibited a spherical shape, high encapsulation efficiency, relevant stablity and sustained-release properties. The eytotoxicity of vinblastine to K562/A02 cell line was significantly increased when it was encapsulated in PCL-PEG-PCL nanoparticles.

Objective To sdudy the expression of p53 and nm23-H1 proteins and their clinical significance in nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods The expression of p53 and nm23-H1 proteins were detected by immunohistochemistry method in 40 cases with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and 22 cases with chronic inflammation of nasopharyngeal mucosa tissues. Results Positive rates of p53 and nm23-H1 in chronic nasopharyngitis group were 1.0 %,27.2 %,and in the NPC group were 92.5 %,55.0 %.There were 9 cases with the positive expression of p53 in 22 cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues with the positive expression of nm23-H1 (40.9 %).There were 17 cases with the positive expression of p53 in 18 cases with the negative expression of nm23-H1 (94.4 %).The expression of p53 and nm23-H1 proteins in nasopharyngeal carcinoma were much higher than that in chronic inflammation of nasopharyngeal mucosa tissues. The expression of p53 protein in nasopharyngeal carcinoma with metastatic lymph node was higher than that in nasopharyngeal carcinoma without metastatic lymph node, but nm23-H1 protein lower. The expression of p53 protein was positively correlated with the metastasis, clinnical staging and pathological classification but not correlated with T classification of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The expression of nm23-H1 protein was negative correlation with the metastasis and clinical staging of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Conclusion p53 and nm23-H1 play important coordinated regulation roles in the carcinogenesis, development and metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and will probably become the key biological marks in the judging and evaluating prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
