A thin layer chromatograph-fluorescent method was used to assay content of scopoletin in Erycibe obtusi folia Benth.. The method showed that it not only can minimize analytical errors in thin layer scan and column contamination in HPLC,but also eliminated mutual interference of components in the preparation. It provides a good assay technique for quality control of hebal preparations. The method was carried out on thin layer plates of silica gel H(40?)with benzene-ether (1. 1: 1 )as the developer,at an excitation spectrum of 347nm,fluorescence spectrum of 420nm and a temperture of 25??1℃.The method showed good linearity(r= 0. 9998, n = 5)in the range of 0.08~0. 40?g/?l of scopoletin and the average recovery was 98. 52 % ~ 102. 67 % with RSD

OBJECTIVESTo explore the significance of noninvasive central blood pressure detection in blood pressure management and vessel function assessment of hypertension.
METHODSA total of 348 subjects were recruited in the study and A-pulse CASP software were derived to measure the parameters of CASP and vessel function. The recruited subjects were divided into different groups for analysis according to age and disease.
RESULTS(1) CASP in hypertension group were both higher than those in normal group, while RAI and PRT lower. (2) Hypertensive patients of which brachial blood pressure were controlled have lower CASP and RAI than those above the level. (3) Hypertensive patients whose brachial blood pressure were controlled have significantly higher CASP than normal subjects.
CONCLUSIONSCentral blood pressure is more reflective of actural blood pressure and vessel function. Enhanced control of CASP in hypertensive patients contributes to improving vessel compliance.

Objective To systemically evaluate the therapeutic effect of pramipexole in treating Parkinson's disease. Methods Pubmed, Embase, Cochrane Database were used to search for randomized control trials (RCTs) on Parkinson's disease treated with pramipexole. Meticulous data wre extracted and meta-analysis was performed according to a preset protocol. Results Ten RCTs involving 1738 patients were included. The results of meta-analysis showed that pramipexole decreased the total scores of unified Parkinson's disease rating scale [UPDRS, WMD=-10.01,95%CI (-12.76,-7.26)],UPDRS part [WMD=-2.44,95%CI(-2.93,-1.95)],and UPDRS partⅢ[WMD=-6.61,95%CI(-8.38,-4.84)]. Pramipexole also reduced the score of UPDRS part Ⅳ[WMD=-0.73,95%CI(-1.16,-0.30)] in advanced patients(P<0.05=.Three studies referred to the effect of pramipexole in treating parkinsonian tremor. However there was a clinical heterogeneity among the studies, and two of them revealed a significant difference. Conclusions Pramipexole might improve motor symptoms and the quality of life in advanced patients, as well as improve tremor, which needs more RCTs to be confirmed.

Objective To compare the effica cy of three N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide (DEET) formulations against Schistosoma japonicum infection in mice. Methods Three 10% DEET formulations (DEET isopropanol solution,DEET cr eam and DEET vaseline ointment)were prepared and two experiments, no-dipping or dipping after applying DEET preparation ,were designed. In each experiment, mice were randomly divided into three experiment groups and three control groups . D ifferent DEET preparations were applied in the experiment groups and isopropanol solution, “yumeijing” cream , vaseline ointment were applied in the control g roups, respectively. At different time points after skin application (0.5, 1, 2 , 4 h and 8 h),the mice were infected with (50?5) Schistosoma j apon icum cercariae on the abdominal skin in no dipping experiment. I n dipping experiment, after mice skin were applied and were dipped for 10,30 min, 1 ,2 h and 4 h, respectively, the mice were infected with (50?5) cercariae. Af ter 6-7 weeks ,all the mice were sacrificed and the worms were collected by hea rt perfusion and counted.Worm reduction rates were calculated and rank sum tests w ere carried out. Results In no-dipping experim ent, three DEET formulations provided 100.0% protection in mice at least for 1 h .A t 2 ,4 h and 8 h ,the worm reduction rates were 94.8%,89.9% and 13.3% for DE ET isopropanol solution, 100.0%,97.8% and 50.7% for DEET cream and 100.0%,9 9.0% and 9 8.0% for DEET vaseline oinment, respectively. In dipping experi-ment, given 50.0% wor m reduction rate as efficient in preventing penetration by the cercariae, the e ffective times were 10 min for DEET isopropanol solution,30 min for DEET cream a nd 2 h for DEET vaseline oinment, respectively. Conclusion Three DEET formulations are effectiv e in preventing Schistosoma japonicum infection in mice.DEET vaseline oinment can provide better protection than the other two D EET formulations.

Uracil (I) (2,4-Diketo-pyrimidine) was isolated from the radix aconiti collected from Jiangyou region of Sichuan Province. The chemical structure of this principle was determined by elemental analysis,IR,UV,MS,'H and 13C-NMR spectral data. The experiments were made to study the effect of uracil (I) on the cardiac contractile force and beating rate of the isolated toad hearts in comparison with uracil (II) (artificial synthesis). The results indicated that the 5?mol/L of uracil (I) and uracil (II) both had the effect of increasing the amplitude of myocardial contraction (P0.05) at 3 and 5 min. When the concentration was increased to 10 and 20?mol/L, the amplitudes of myocardial contraction were more incremental and 3 min later, the estimated value of uracil (I) and uracil (II) to increase the amplitude of myocardial contraction by 50% approached to 4.17 and 4.68, respectively. As described above, uracil (I) is a new cardiotonic in Jiangyou Fuzi.
