Objective:To investigate the root and canal morphology of mandibular first permanent molars in adolescents by cone-beam computered tomography (CBCT).Methods:366 mandibular first permanent molars in 1 83 adolescents aged 1 2 -1 6 years were examined by CBCT from July,201 2 to December,201 3.The age, sex, the number of roots and canals and canal morphology were re-corded.The data were statistically analyzed by software SPSS 1 9.0.Results:365 mandibular first permanent molars showed single mesial root except one with C-shaped root;282(77.05%)teeth had one distal root,83(22.68%)had two.356(97.27%)teeth had two mesial canals and 9(2.46%)had one.229(62.57%)teeth had one distal root with one canal,53(1 4.48%)had one distal root with two canals.83(22.68%)had two distal roots with one canal in each root, one (0.27%)had C-shaped root with three canals. There were no significant differences between males and females and between the two sides on the number of roots and number of ca-nals.Conclusion:Majority of mandibular first molars have two roots, the root change occurs in distal root. The prevalence of three-rooted mandibular first molars has no significant difference between genders and 2 sides.

Based on the global burden of disease classification, to explore the scope of chronic diseases. Methods:Searching relevant literature and books to screen and remove the acute non-communicable diseases among the non-communicable diseases which is the second category of global burden of disease ( GBD) classification. Results: Acute non-communicable diseases mainly concentrated on the acute inflammatory diseases, it also existed in other acute diseases which are not caused by infection. Conclusion: To screen and remove the acute non-communicable diseases in the non-communicable diseases could define the scope of non-communicable chronic diseases on certain extent, which has certain significance for the workers who study all chronic diseases.

Objective To observe the changes of nerve function and nerve sorbitol in diabetic rats and to explore the effect of sodium fulvate (SF). Methods Diabetic rats were induced by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin. One group of diabetic rats were given SF for six months. Plasma glucose, HbA 1c and nerve sorbitol were measured, and pain threshold was detected by thermalpain apparatus and hotplate test. Results (1)There was no effect of SF on hyperglycemia in diabetic rats. (2)The withdrawal latency was significantly decreased and nerve sorbitol content was significantly increased in untreated diabetic rats. (3)Untreated diabetic rats showed pain reaction at non noxious temperature (40℃) and the times of hind paw withdrawal reflex per minute at 44℃ were increased in hotplate test 〔(3.42?0.59)/min〕 as compared with non diabetic control group 〔(0.88?0.36)/min〕 (P

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2012;18(6):569-572
Objective To investigate the responsiveness of the Burke Lateropulsion Scale (BLS) evaluating Pusher syndrome recovery and the characteristics of BLS. Methods 48 patients diagnosed as Pusher syndrome after stroke were included. All the patients were assessed with BLS to measure the progress at admission, every 2 weeks and at discharge, respectively. The characteristics of BLS score at admission and discharge and the standardized response mean (SRM) were analyzed. Results 56.3% patients were rated as mild and 16.7% were rated as severe at admission; none were classified as severe, 43.8% were not enough to be diagnosed as Pusher syndrome and 47.9% were classified as mild on discharge. SRM was 1.27 during the whole hospitalization, and SRM was 1.41 and 2.18 at 4 and 6 weeks, respectively. Conclusion BLS is an appropriate tool for the evaluation of patients with Pusher syndrome and is responsive to monitor the progress and recovery during rehabilitation.

Objective To investigate the cytokine spectrum of cultured human amniotic-derived mesenchymal stem cells (A-MSC) for understanding its basis of molecular biology in hematopoietic in vitro. Methods Their hematopoietic cytokines expression was analyzed using RT-PCR in the mRNA level. Results It showed that in vitro subcultured human amniotic-derived mesenchymal stem cells were capable to express many important hematopoietic cytokines such as LIF, SCF, M-CSF, G-CSF, GM-CSF, IL-3, IL-6, IL-11 and so on. Conclusion Production of abundant of hematopoietic cytokines by human amniotic-derived mesenchymal stem cells may be effective for hematopoietic support and HSC transplantation.

Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2014;(3):220-223
Objective To investigate the distribution and antibiotic resistance of isolated pathogens in neonatal sepsis. Methods The results of blood culture and drug susceptibility test in neonates sepsis from January 2012 to June 2013 were retro-spectively analyzed. Results One hundred and thirty-two strains were detected in the blood samples, with 100(75.76%)Gram-positive bacteria, 30 (22.73%) Gram-negative bacteria and 2 (1.52%) fungus. Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were the three most common pathogens. Gram-positive cocci was strongly resistant to penicillin (100.00%), erythromycin, selectrin and ampicillin/sulbactam (62.50%-100.00%), but still sensitive to vancomycin and teico-planin. The resistance rate of Gram-negative bacilli to ampicillin was 100.00%, and the resistance rate to cefatriaxone, selectrin and cefuroxime was 61.54%-100.00%. The resistance rate to imipenem and piperacillin/tazobactam was lower. Conclusions The selection of sensitive antibiotics should be based on the pathogens and drug resistance testing for the treatment of neonatal sepsis.

Objective To investigate the effects of protein active composition of Scorpio on apoptosis of L1210 tumor cells for the purpose of establishing the quality evaluation method of biological effect of Scorpio. Methods L1210 cells were examined by trypan blue exclusion. The proliferation of cells was determined by improved MTT assay. Flow cytometry was performed to analyze cell apoptosis with propidium iodide (PI). Results When the concentration of protein active composition of Scorpio exceeded or equaled 37 mg/ml, the coefficient correlation of the growth inhibiting curve of L1210 cells was 0.9357, and IC50 was 175 mg/ml. The excellence time was 0 to 48 hours. When the concentration of protein active composition of Scorpio exceeded or equaled 9.25 mg/ml, the apoptosis ratio of L1210 cells was raised significantly. Conclusion The protein active composition of Scorpio might promote the apoptosis and restrain the proliferation of L1210 cells. The value of anti-tumor biological effect of the protein active composition of Scorpio was 9.25 ~ 175 mg/ml. This value may be one of the indexes for quality evaluation of biological effect of Scorpio.
