Objective To explore the feasibility of virtual touch tissue quantification(VTQ) technique in noninvasive assessment of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic stent shunt (TIPSS).Methods Twenty-four patients were enrolled in this study.Shear wave velocity(SWV) of the liver and spleen were obtained by VTQ technique on one day before TIPSS insertion and one week after TIPSS placement,and the portal vein pressure was measured while placing the TIPSS.The correlation between SWV of the liver and spleen and portal venous pressure were analysed.In addition,fourteen patients were followed up for one month after TIPSS placement.Results There was significant difference in portal vein pressure pre [(27.82 ± 4.07) mm Hg] and post [(16.26-± 3.10) mm Hg] TIPSS insertion.The SWV of the liver in patients pre and post TIPSS measured (2.43 ± 0.37)m/s and (2.40 ± 0.34)m/s,respectively.The SWV of the spleen in patients pre and post TIPSS were (3.49 ± 0.40)m/s and (3.08 ± 0.39)m/s,respectively,there was significant difference (P =0.000).However,SWV of the liver pre and post TIPSS placement was no significant difference(P =0.130).And as well as the patients which were followed up for one month after TIPSS placement.A significant,direct,linear correlation(r =0.602,P =0.000) was found between SWV of the spleen and portal vein pressure,but liver SWV was not correlated with the portal venous pressure.Conclusions SWV of the spleen measured by VTQ technique has a significant correlation with portal vein pressure.Hence,the spleen SWV based on VTQ technique can be used as a non-invasive method for quantitatively in monitoring the portal vein pressure as the function of the TIPSS.However,evidence to support a similar role for liver stiffness is lacking.

OBJECTIVE:To validate the determination method of the content of Morphine in Compound Glycyrrhiza oral solution. METHODS: Samples were detected by solid phase extraction-HPLC on Kromasil C8 column (250 mm?4.6 mm,5 ?m) with mobile phase consisted of 0.05 mol?L-1 KH2PO4-0.0 025 mol?L-1 C14H15NaO3S?2H2O-acetonitrile using gradient elution.The detection wavelength was 220 nm and the flow rate was 1.0ml.min-1.RESULTS:The linear range of morphine was 2.02～20.2 ?g?mL-1(r=0.999 7),and the average recovery was 99.0%(RSD=0.40%,n=9).CONCLUSION: The method is accurate,sensitive and stable,and accurate and reliable in determination results.

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of high-resolution ultrasound for predicting the extracapsular extension (ETE) of papillary thyroid cancer (PTC).Methods A total of 151 nodules with PTC in 116 patients confirmed by surgery and pathology were enrolled.The ultrasonographic characteristics were retrospectively analyzed,and the percentage of the perimeter of the nodule that abutted the thyroid capsule (A) were observed.Taking A≥1％,A≥25 ％ and A≥ 50％ as cutoff value respectively,the ETE of PTC was predicted.Results Of the 151 nodules with PTC,ETE presented in 59 (59/151,39.07％),while no ETE (non-ETE) was observed in 92 (92/151,60.93％).Nodules in the thyroid parenchyma (A0) which could be observed with ultrasound was 84 (84/151,55.63％),and 1％≤A＜25％,25％≤A＜50％andA≥50％ was 25 (25/151,16.56％),15 (15/151,9.93％),and 27 (27/151,17.88％),respectively.There were statistically significant differences of nodules between the non-ETE and ETE when A≥1％,A≥25 ％ and A≥50％ (all P ＜0.01).Taking A=50％ as the cutoff value for predicting the presence of ETE,the sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value and negative predictive value was 37.29％ (22/59),94.57％ (87/92),72.19％ (109/151),81.48％ (22/27) and 70.16％ (87/124),respectively.Conclusion High frequency ultrasonography can effectively predict whether PTC has been invaded,which provides important reference information for preselected surgical approach and prognosis of patients.

Objective To explore the role of real-time ultrasound elastography (RUE) in the staging of rectal cancer.Methods We retrospectively analyzed 41 cases of rectal cancer by both double plane transrectal conventional ultrasonography (CU) and RUE and comparatively assessed elasticity scores and strain ratios (SR) of the tumor along with postoperative pathological staging results.Results The accuracy of CU for preoperative staging of rectal tumors was 80.49％.There were significant differences between the elasticity scores and strain ratios of the T1 stage and T2,T3,and T4 stages,and also in elasticity scores and strain ratios of the T4 stage and T2 and T3 stages of rectal cancer by using RUE (P ＜ 0.05).Taking the elasticity score of 3 points as the optimal ritical value in the diagnosis of the T1 stage of rectal cancer,the sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value,and negative predictive value were 66.67％,96.88％,85.71％,and 91.18％ respectively.Condusion Endorectal RUE can assess the elastic stiffness of rectal cancer,and it helps in the preoperative staging of rectal cancer.
