1.Protective Effects of Huoxueyangyin Granule on Isoprenaline-induced Myocardial Ischemia in Rats

Objective To study the protective effect of Huoxueyangyin granule on isoprenaline -induced acute myocardial ischemia in rats. Method The model was established by injecting isoprenaline. Results Huoxueyangyin Granule inhibited the increased locomotions of T wave and ST section of the abnormal ECG, decreased the level of LDH, protected myocardial SOD activity and reduced myocardial MDA production of isoprenaline-induced acute myocardial ischemia in rats. Conclusion Huoxueyangyin granule possesses protective effect on acute myocardial ischemia in rats.
2.Effect of Xiaoerkechuanning Granule on Allergic Asthma in Guinea Pigs

Objective To study the antiasthmatic effect of Xiaoerkechuanning Granule (KCN) in guinea pigs with allergic asthma. Method The allergic asthma model in guinea pigs was induced by ovalbumin (OVA), and detemine the incubation period of asthma, the content of malondiadehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) in blood serum, histopathologic changes of lungs. Results The KCN can markedly prolong the incubatin period, increase the activities of SOD, alleviate the histopathologic changes. Conclusion KCN has obviously protective effects on experimental allergic asthma in guinea pigs.
3.Pharmacodynamic Optimization of Purification Technique for Acanthopanax Senticosus Harms

OBJECTIVE: To optimize the purification technique for the extract of Acanthopanax senticosus Harms. METHODS: The techniques of D- 101 macroporous resin adsorption, polyamide adsorption and n- butanol extraction were separately applied to purify the aqueous extract of Acanthopanax senticosus Harms. Syringin was detected by HPLC and total flavone was detected by UV. The anti- cerebral ischemia effects of three purified samples were compared using rat MCAO model and mouse decapitation gape model. RESULTS: The three purified samples all showed anti- cerebral ischemia effects, with the sample purified via D- 101 macroporous resin adsorption having stronger effects than the other two. The content of Syringin was correlated with anti- cerebral ischemia effects. CONCLUSIONS: D- 101 macroporous resin adsorption is a be-tter technique for purifying the aqueous extract of Acanthopanax senticosus Harms.
4.Antiproliferation of human colon carcinoma cell line(SW480)by Compound Changtai Granule

AIM:To check the antiproliferative and apoptosis-inducing effect of Compound Changtai Granule(Radix et Rhizoma ginseng,Semen coicis,Rhizoma curcumae,etc)(CCG)on human colon carcinoma cell line(SW480).METHODS:Methy thiazolyl tetrazolium chromatomerry was used to observe the influence of several concentration of CCG on SW480 cell proliferation cultured in vitro at the various times,and flow cytometry was applied to examining the change in SW480 cell proliferation cycle and apoptosis rate.RESULTS:CCG could successfully prevent SW480 cell from entering G_0/G_1 phase and G_2/M phase,decrease cell numbers in S phase at the same time.CONCLUSION:CCG has an obvious dose-response relationship in the range of 3.51 to 7.81 mg/mL.

6.The research of Jianpi-Huatan decoction resisting MFC hepatic metastasis and its mechanism

Objective To explore the research of Jianpi-Huatan decoction resisting the nude mouse MFC hepatic metastasis and its mechanism. Methods MFC cells inoculation in nude mice spleen, establishing nude mice hepatic metastasis model, which are divided into model group, 5-fu injection group, Jianpi-Huatan decoction high, medium and low dose group according to radom number table. Mice in high, medium and low dose Jianpi-Huatan decoction groups were adiminstrated with 80,40 and 20 g/kg Jianpi-Huatan decoction,in 5-fu groups were adiminstrated by intraperitoneal injection with 60mg/kg 5-fu injection and in model groups with Physiological saline once a day for 4 consecutive weeks. After the end, calculate the nude mice weight, spleen tumor weight and evaluation of hepatic metastases. And immune histochemical method and RT-PCR method is applied to detect tumor tissue of the expression of P53, Bcl-2 protein and mRNA. Results Compared with model group, Jianpi-Huatan decoction high and medium dose group can obviously increase body weight[(21.40 ± 1.43)g, (21.70 ± 1.02)g vs.(20.37 ± 1.17)g] and reduce the in situ tumor weight [(0.26 ±0.13)g,(0.16 ±0.05)g vs.(0.63 ±0.17)g]and the number of liver metastases;the mRNA levels of P53 and Bcl-2 (8.32 ±0.38,5.42 ±0.45,3.09 ±0.26 vs.9.67 ±1.31)and(4.65 ±0.61,3.22 ±0.21,2.49 ±0.19 vs.5.32 ±0.42) were decreased in low,medium and high dose Jianpi-Huatan decoction groups;P53(76.11 ±5.23,45.20 ±3.77, 23.11 ± 3.14 vs.81.63 ± 5.01)and Bcl-2(58.67 ± 5.27,32.00 ± 3.13,19.00 ± 2.54 vs.63.00 ± 4.10)levels were down-regulated in each dose of Jianpi-Huatan decoction group.Conclusions Jianpi-Huatan decoction can restrain nude mouse transplantation tumor growth and hepatic metastasis, which related to the cut of the expression of P53, Bcl-2 gene and protein.
