Objective To analyze the prognosis of people with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) after 10 years follow-up. Methods 30 patients with IGT, screened out in 1995 census, were intervened with medication and the change of life style for ten years. Results There were 7 cases (23.3%) in 30 patients with IGT were developed into DM and 13 cases (43.3%) were still IGT, others (10 cases, 33.3%) were reverted to NGT. In the beginning of the study, the means of TG and HBCI in DM turnover group were significantly higher than those of IGT and NGT turnover group (P0.05). ObjectiveTo explore the effect of osteoarthritis (OA) chondrocytes and normal chondrocytes on the chondrogenesis of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs) in self designed co-culture system. MethodsRabbit BMSCs and chondrocytes were isolated and expanded in vitro. OA chondrocytes were harvested from the rabbit of established osteoarthritis model. We made a BMSCs-low melting agarose constructs, then put it onto the self-made 6 well plates lattice assembly for co-culture with chondrocytes. The groups were divided into Normal P0-BMSCs, Normal P3-BMSCs, OA PO-BMSCs, OA P3-BMSCs and BMSCs (control) group. At 3, 7, 14 day culture, cultured cells in all groups were collected for real-time PCR, glycosaminoglycan (GAG) content, cytoactive detection, and histological observation. ResultsType Ⅱ collagen gene expression was up-regulated in group Normal PO-BMSCs, which showed 5.1-, 7.2-, 11.2-fold increase over that of control group at 3, 7, 14 days, respectively. Type Ⅰ, Ⅱ collagen and aggrecan gene expressions were not obviously up-regulated. In group OA P3-BMSCs, type Ⅰ collagen gene expression level lower than the control group in 3, 7, 14 day. In normal PO-BMSCs, GAG content showed 2.59-fold increase over that of the control group. GAG content of group OA PO-BMSCs and control group showed no significant differences.Others groups showed significant differences in comparison with the control group(P＜0.05). Alcian stain showed positive in all groups. The normal PO-BMSCs group showed the darkest blue-stained. Conclusion Rabbit normal PO chondrocytes and rabbit OA P0 chondrocytes significantly enhanced chondrogenic differentiation of rabbit BMSCs. The secreted morphogens of the rabbit normal P3 chondrocytes and rabbit OA P3 chondrocytes do not have a significant effect on chondrogenic differentiation of rabbit BMSCs.

Objective To investigate the chondrocyte proliferation and extracellular matrix biosynthesis of electrospun PCL scaffolds seeded with rabbit chondrocytes under flow perfusion culture in vitro.Methods Nonwoven PCL microfiber mats were fabricated,and contra-aperture cylindrical glass equipment as a perfusion bioreactor was designed and manufactured on our own.The experiment included peffusion culture group and static culture group.Primary chondrocytes were isolated from the knee joints of two-month-old New Zealand white rabbits and seeded into scaffolds.The scaffold-cell complexes were harvested at 3,7,and 14 days of culture for scanning electron micrograph (SEM) analysis,biochemical assay,real-time PCR and histology analysis.Results Electrospun PCL scaffolds were composed of microfibers with a diameter of 1.67±0.76 μm and pores with a diameter of 17.65±7.11 μm.SEM showed a better cell proliferation with typical morphology of chondrocytes under perfusion culture.At 7 days of culture,DNA content in perfusion culture group was higher than in static culture group.At 3,7 and 14 days of culture,compared with the static culture group,glycosaminoglycan (GAG) content and GAG/DNA ratio in perfusion culture group were higher,and the differences were statistically significant.At 14 days of culture,real-time PCR showed aggrecan and collagen type Ⅱ gene expression and collagen type Ⅱ to collagen type Ⅰ ratio were higher in perfusion culture group than in static culture group; HE and safranin O staining showed a significant cell proliferation,infiltration,as well as extracellular matrix biosynthesis in perfusion culture group.Conclusion Under flow perfusion culture,the electrospun PCL scaffolds seeded with rabbit chondrocytes can enhance chondrocyte proliferation and extracellular matrix biosynthesis,which is a promising method for cartilage tissue engineering.

BACKGROUND: Inert biomaterials such as metal usually hold poor biocompatibility and weak bonding force, which is against the effect of dental or bone implants. Therefore, how to improve their biocompatibility has become the research hotspot.OBJECTIVE: To prepare collagen-coated titanium alloy (Ti6Al4V), and to assess its biocompatibility.METHODS: Ti6Al4V served as the matrix, the 3-amino propyl triethoxy silane (KH550) as the crosslinking agent, and the three-dimensional printed titanium alloy coated by collagen type Ⅰ and Ⅱ was prepared,respectively. The coated materials were co-cultured with mouse preosteoblasts MC-3T3-E1 to evaluate its biocompatibility. The effect of different kinds of collagen on the cell differentiation was compared by differential recognition of surface proteins.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: When the N content on the titanium alloy surface (Φ10 cm) was 8.41%, the cladding quantity of collagen type Ⅰ and Ⅱ was 0.81 and 0.77 mg, respectively. Compared with the bare titanium alloy, the cell adhered well and distributed extensively on the coated titanium alloy,which showed strong viability and fast proliferation.The cells cultured on collagen type Ⅰ coated materials expressed the proteins associated with matrix synthesis, and those on collagen type Ⅱ coated materials expressed the proteins associated with mineralization. These results clarify that the collagen coating can improve the biocompatibility of titanium alloy, and different types of collagens act on different functional proteins.

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for improving the pharmaceutical care of chain drug stores.METHODS:By convenience sampling,questionnaire survey about pharmaceutical care of drug stores was conducted among the customers in 5 chain drug stores (selecting each one branch drug store with certain scale) from Chengdu.The data were analyzed statistically.RESULTS:A total of 413 questionnaires were issued,of which 400 were valid,with effective recovery rate of 96.9％.Only 25.5 ％ respondents could identify the licensed pharmacist;higher educated respondents and respondents with academic background of medicine were more likely to make distinction (P＜0.05).The respondents who had often received the service of medication guidance,the service of recommending same effect medicine with low price and the service of medication instruction was only 45.5％,19.0％ and 48.3％ respectively,5.3％,13.0％ and 10.8％ of those who had never received such services.Respondents' satisfaction with the general service staff (64.0％) was much higher than with licensed pharmacist (34.3％).Respondents believed that the three most important pharmaceutical care were medication guidance,helping boiling TCM and free health test.CONCLUSIONS:Consumers can not clearly distinguish the licensed pharmacist in drug stores.The situation that consumers can get major items of pharmaceutical care is still unsatisfactory.Consumers are less satisfied with licensed pharmacists,but their attention to medication guidance services reflects their strong awareness of medication safety.

A method for quantitation of collagen was established by detecting marker peptide with high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS). Theoretical marker peptides were selected by sequence comparison. Bovine collagen type I was digested with trypsin. Marker peptides typical for collagen type I were identified with HPLC-MS. The relationship between the abundance of marker peptides and collagen concentration was established. The results show that GEAGPSGPAGPTGAR and the other 5 peptides showed high resolution during chromatographic separation and high signal intensity during MS analysis. Peptide signal intensity and collagen concentration showed a good linear relationship in the range from 0.1 to 3 mg/mL. Bovine tendon and collagen sponge were used as actual samples and collagen contents were determined as 90.2% and 93.4% respectively. Quantitation of marker peptides of collagen was a feasible method to identify and quantify collagens in medical device research and development.

Objective To investigate the prevalence rate of metabolic syndrome (MS) and its related diseases in Bengbu community residents. Methods 3246 residents aged from 25 to 74 years were chosen through cluster random sampling method, including 1459 males and 1787 females. MS and its related diseases were examined. Results (1) The prevalence rate and standardized rate of MS was 20. 5% and 16.0%, respectively, which reached higher level all over China. The prevalence rate of male and female was 22. 9% and 18. 6%, respectively. The highest prevalence rate occurred in presenium patients. (2)The prevalences of various metabolic diseases were increased with aging except for overweigh/obesity and MS (P<0.01). The prevalence of various metabolic diseases was 1 times higher in elderly patients than that in young patients, and the prevalence rate of MS in male and female increased to 2.8 times and 2.7 times, respectively. The prevalence rate of type 2 diabetes mellitus increased biggest, male to 7.9 times and female to 12.8 times compared with the original level. (3) The multiple components clustering rate of MS was high, only 33.8% of individuals had no metabolic disorder. Conclusions The prevalence rates of MS and its related diseases are high in Bengbu community residents. It is necessary to take comprehensive measures to prevent and control MS in community.

Objective To investigate the effect of acupuncture combined with hyperbaric oxygen therapy on neurological function and daily living ability of patients with cerebral hemorrhage. Methods From January 2014 to June 2017,one hundred and twenty-three patients with cerebral hemorrhage which hospitalized in the Department of Neurosurgery of Hebei Provincial Corps Hospital were selected and randomly divided into three groups: acupuncture group, acupuncture + hyperbaric oxygen group ( combined group ) and control group. The acupuncture group was given acupuncture on the basis of routine medical treatment after minimally invasive surgery treatment; the combined group was treated with acupuncture treatment as well as hyperbaric oxygen therapy after minimally invasive surgery; the control group was only treated with conventional medical therapy without any special treatment. The scores of nerve function defect,Fusl-Meyer motor function assessment scale,daily living ability score,cognitive function score,Glasgow coma scale at the 40th day of admission were evaluated and compared respectively,and the clinical effect were evaluated as well. Results After treatment, the NHISS score of the control group,the acupuncture group and the combined group decreased in turn. The score of Fusl-Meyer exercise function rating scale, the daily living ability score, the cognitive function score and the Glasgow coma scale were increased in turn, and the differences were statistically significant ( F=276. 620, 76. 050,31. 770,116. 598,33. 745,P<0. 01) . The total effective rate of the control group,acupuncture group and combined group increased sequentially (61％,76％,90％),and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=18. 547,P<0. 01) . Conclusion Acupuncture therapy for patients with cerebral hemorrhage can effectively promote the improvement of nerve function, daily living ability and prognosis. Acupuncture combined with hyperbaric oxygen can get more obvious therapeutic effect.

Objective:To investigate the method of arthroplasty for reconstructing femporomandibular joint (TMJ) after the establishment of TMJ articular defect models in the rabbits,and to clarify the replacement and repair effects of carboh fiber reinforced polyetheretherketone (CFR-PEEK) material TMJ prostheses,and to provide an experimental basis for the clinical application of CFR-PEEK artificial joints to replace TMJ.Methods:Thirteen healthy adult Japanese rabbits were randomly divided into experimental group (n=6),positive control group (n=4) and negative control group (n =3).The right TMJ articular process of the rabbits in experimental group were resected to establish the joint defect models,and then the CFR-PEEK artificial joints were impanted.The right TMJ articular process of the rabbits in positive control group were resected,and the joint defect models were established without the CFR-PEEK artificial joint implantation.The rabbits in negative control group didn't receive any treatment.The body weights of the rabbits in each group were measured in 13 weeks.The effects of fixation and replacement after artificial joint implantation were assessed by CT imaging.Results:The TMJ articular process defect model was successfully implanted with the CFR-PEEK artificial joint.The CT imaging results after threedimensional reconstruction and CT images by contrast in vitro showed that the CFR-PEEK-implanted artificial joint was fixed well,it could be instead of the normal joint function.Compared with positive control group,the weights of rabbits in experimental group were significantly increased (P＜ 0.05) at 13 weeks;compared with positive control group,the weights of rabbits in experimental group and negative control group were both significantly increased (P＞0.05) at 13 weeks,but there was no significant difference between them (P＞0.05).The weights of rabbits in experimental group and negative control group kept normal growth;the weights of rabbits in positive control group was increased slowly,and even stopped growing or was negative.Conclusion:The CFR-PEEK artificial joint can be successfully implanted into the TMJ defect model and be used to repair the defect which help to restore chewing function.The CFR-PEEK is expected to be an ideal material for reconstructing TMJ.
