The relationship between the relative content of OPN mRNA and protein and clinico-pathological features of salivary gland tumors were analyzed. Results:The differences of OPN mRNA and protein expression levels in various tissues (malignant salivary gland tumors, benign alivary gland tumors and normal salivary gland tissues) were statistically significant, and the mRNA expression levels were correlated significantly with node metastasis and TNMstage, the expression levels of OPN protein were correlated significantly with node metastasis and TNMstage(P
4.Is allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation still the first-line therapy after the first remission in adult patients with Philadelphia chromosome-negative acute lymphoblastic leukemia?
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2016;25(9):513-517
Whether allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) is the optimal treatment for adult patients with Philadelphia chromosome-negative acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph - ALL) after the first complete remission (CR1) or not is still a controversial issue. Many studies have recently reported that adolescents and young adults with Ph- ALL may benefit from pediatric chemotherapy. Conventional baseline risk factors cannot satisfactorily predict prognosis, conversely, the early minimal residual disease (MRD) is the best stratification tool to offer different treatments for patients with different MRD status. Novel therapies, such as CAR-T cells and blinatumomab, have shown promising results in relapsed/refractory patients. Through comprehensive application of pediatric chemotherapy protocols, MRD driven strategy and novel therapies, it is hopeful to change the paradigm of how to treat adults with Ph - ALL in the future, and to bring improved outcomes and decreased adverse events.
5.Application of adaptive enhancement means in head and neck CR images
Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging Technology 2009;25(12):2294-2296
Digital CR of head and neck overcomes the disadvantage of regular X-ray radiography, which can not reveal bone and soft tissue position deficiency in one exposing, and reduces the X-ray radiation dose. Meanwhile, various factors decline the imaging quality, and images must be enhanced in order to meet demands of doctors clinical diagnosis. The general enhancement algorithms don't consider bodys structure difference and density characteristics. A new adaptive CR enhancement algorithms was proposed in this article, and head and neck images were processed with this method and compared with linear unsharp masking method. The results proved that the details of CR image enhanced were abundant and enhanced CR had good visual effect. SNR was high, as well as detail variance/background variance (DV/BV) indicating that this algorithms is suitable for head and neck CR medical image.
6.Biocompatibility of artificial lung membrane materials
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2009;13(51):10137-10140
Artificial lung, also called oxygenator, has the properties of oxygenation, heterotherm, blood store, filtration, and blood retrieval, oxygenates venous blood with low oxygen to arterial blood with high oxygen, similar to human physiological condition, and functions as an ideal artificial organ. Membrane artificial lung has been widely used in extracorporeal circulation of cardiovascular surgery, as well as rescue of respiratory failure, i.e. extracorporeal life support or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. And the intravascular oxygenator has been primarily used in clinic. In particular, membrane oxygenator is essential for patients with severe disease, poor heart function, and long-duration operation. Currently, based on membrane material modification and optimization, as well as experimental and clinical evaluations of various properties, studies of artificial lung focus on improvement of gas exchange and biocompatibility, so as to provide reliable means of rescuing patients.
7.Clinical Application and Derivation Methods of Set Prescriptions
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(01):-
Objective: To explore the compatibility and application methods of clinical formulas. Methods: In the guidance of monarch, minister, assistant and guide theory, the constructions of prescription were divided into principal agents and lesser agents;500 prescriptions were from 1000 set prescriptions and empirical formulas recorded in pharmacology of traditional Chinese medical formulae teaching material and well-chosen efficacy nostrum written by national lever famous veteran teran doctors of TCM.Then they were analyzed to study the constituting formats of(clinical) formulas and the derivation methods of set prescriptions in clinical application. Results: Through analysis,we found the constituting formats of formulas in terms of single taste single group having principal agents but lesser agents(12.3%),multitude groups having principal agents but lesser agents(13.7%),single taste or single group principal agents with one group lesser agents(14.4%),multitude groups principal agents with one group lesser agents(17.7%),single taste or single group principal agents with multitude groups lesser agents(18.3%) and multitude groups principal agents with multitude groups lesser agents(23.6%) et al.From the 500 randomly extracted prescriptions, among 68.4% prescriptions were present derivation relationship, that is,for adapting new pathogenesis conditions, through methods in terms of replacing principal agents(10.2%),mild recipe lowering to lesser agents(17.0%),two formulas to put together(14.3%),expanding principal agents(16.4%),changing lesser agents(18.7%),principal agents pero-replacing(10.2%) and others(13.2%),changed constituted relation of principal agents or lesser agents,so to generate several formulas possessing new effect characteristics. Conclusion: The(divide) of principal agents and lesser agents has a universal applicability in analyzing the constitutions of formulas;the clinical application and derivation methods of set prescriptions revealed by this method have guide effect to initial(experiencing) clinical worker.
8.Investigation into Stomach-qi Theory and its Application Principle in Clinical Practices
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(04):-
Stomach-qi refers to, in a broad sense, the vital qi of human body, i.e. postnatal vigorous qi and, in a narrow sense, the physiological function of spleen and stomach. Digestive function of spleen and stomach and nutrition get from diet play a key role in keeping and maintaining life and health. Human rely on the qi of food and water they take in, and qi of spleen and stomach transports and transforms the food and water, so we say, “Stomach-qi is the root of human body”. Pathologically, the stomach qi strong or declin is one of the key factors results in diseases. One will be healthy or seldom affected by disease if his or her stomach qi is not damaged; even affected by severe disease, with undamaged stomach-qi and good appetite, one will have a favorable turn. On the contrary, once the stomach-qi is hurt, one will be easily affected by evils or state of the illness will aggravate. So, “If one wants to observe the state of an illness, he or she must observe stomach-qi first; if one wants to treat a patient, he or she must consider the stomach-qi. There would be no worries, if stomach-qi is fine.” Principles for protecting stomach-qi is to treat and regulate the diseases of spleen and stomach in time and to take care of spleen and stomach when one is treating disease of other viscera.
9.Establishing model of polymyositis with damp-heat syndrome
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(04):-
Objective: To research the method of Establishing model of polymyositis with damp-heat syndrome. Methods: 45 guinea pigs were randomly divided into three groups, group A (normal group), group B (experimental myositis group, control group), Group C (damp-heat group). In the control group, the rabbit skeletal muscle homogenate Garver,s complete adjuvant for subcutaneous immunization was used to injecting into the original guinea pigs. Besides the above-mentioned immune method, the heat-damp model method was used (feigan diet, hot and humid environment and pathogenic micro-organisms and other complex factors) to establish the polymyositis model with damp-heat syndrome. The general situations, such as the serum muscle enzymes, light microscopy, electron microscopy changes in each group were observed. Results: The results showed that the clinical performance, serum creatase, the pathological changes of skeletal muscle, lungs, liver of guinea pigs in damp-heat group were similar to the human polymyositis with damp-heat syndrome. Conclusion: The model can be used to study the human polymyositis with damp-heat syndrome, and provide the pathogenic and theoretical basis for treating polymyositis by TCM.
10.Immunosuppressive agents in the treatment of lupus nephritis
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(06):-
Renal involvement is common in systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).Treatment of lupus nephritis includes immunosuppressive and supportive therapy. The intensity of immunosuppressive therapy depends on the clinical and renal pathological disease activity. The long-term targets of treatment are to prevent lupus nephritis relapse and protect renal function.Complete remission is the goal in the induction phase, and long-term treatment is necessary in the maintenance phase.Individualization therapy and the side effects of immunosuppressive agents should be paid more attention.
