1.Post-operation TSH suppression therapy in differentiated thyroid carcinoma
Journal of International Oncology 2014;(8):585-588
Surgical operation is still the main means of thyroid carcinoma, especially the differentiated thyroid carcinoma. Postoperative endocrine therapy is considered as an important adjuvant therapy. Giving the corresponding endocrine therapy after the surgery, not only prevent the hypothyroidism, but also reduce the recurrence rate and mortality in postoperative patients with thyroid carcinoma.
2.Advance of radioiodine antagonist related gene of differentiated thyroid carcinoma
Journal of International Oncology 2016;43(3):204-206
Thyroid carcinomas are the most common endocrine malignancies, and the overwhelming majority of them is differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC).The major therapies of DTCs are surgical resection, thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) inhibitory treatment and iodine radioisotope (131I) treatment.131I has been widely applied for the diagnosis and treatment of DTC,however, part of these patients may reduce or loss the uptake capacity of 131I owing to the alteration of sodium-iodide symporter gene,BRAF,paired box 8,microRNA and cytokeratin 19.These genes are particularly important in the treatment of DTC,which can be used as biomarkers in the treatment efficacy evaluation.
3.Analysis of risk factors of thyroid cancer
Journal of International Oncology 2017;44(4):284-286
In the last decades, the incidence of thyroid cancer has continuously and rapidly increased, and the risk factors have become the focus of the whole society′s attention. The exposure of radiation in childhood and genetic predisposition are determinate risk factors for thyroid cancer.Goiter, benign nodules/adenomas and obesity are highly likely risk factors for thyroid cancer. Some menstrual and reproductive factors and dietetic factors are possible risk factors for thyroid cancer.

Objective:To investigate the expressions of P53and nm23 proteins in cancer tissue of patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma. Methods:There were 57 males and 43 females, ranging in age from 35 to 75 years old.The clinical stages were T1 10,T2 29,T3 56 and T4 5;pathologic classifications were high differentiation in 74,medial and low differentiation in 26;lymph node metastasis in 56,no metastasis in 44.The expressions of P53 and nm23 proteins were detected by immunohistochemical technique. Results:The expressions rates of P53and nm23 proteins were 58.0%(58/100) and 40.0%(40/100) respectively (P<0.05)in cancer tissue of patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma. The expressions rates of P53and nm23 were 71.5%(40/56)and 28.6%(16/56)in group of patients with node lymph node metastasis;40.9%(18/44)and 54.5%(24/44) in group of patients with negative metastasis respectively. Conclusion:Lymph node metastasis might be correlated with high level expression of P53 protein and low level expression of nm23 protein in patients of oral squamous cell carcinoma.

Journal of International Oncology 2014;41(10):721-724
As an important member of the adisintegrin and metalloproteinase (ADAM) superfamily,ADAM17 can mediate a variety of membrane molecular hydrolysis off, such as adhesion molecules, cytokines, growth factors, etc, and play an important role in regulating tumor cell adhesion, apoptosis, metastasis and proliferation through the EGFR-PI3K-Akt pathway,Notch signaling pathway and other signaling pathways. The research of ADAM17 targeted drugs provides a new direction for cancer therapy.

Journal of International Oncology 2014;41(10):750-753
In recent years, the abnormal expression of microRNA-21 (miR-21) in head and neck carcinoma have been found in many studies, which may be closely related to the genesis and development of thyroid carcinoma, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, laryngocarcinoma and oral carcinoma,etc.MiR-21 may also be valuable for the clinical diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of head and neck carcinoma.

Journal of International Oncology 2013;40(9):671-674
In recent years, the abnormal expressions of BRAF,Runx2,Runx3 and S100A4 genes in thyroid papillary carcinoma have been found in many studies. The abnomal expressions of those genes are closely related to the tumor invasion, lymph node metastasis, mulifocality of thyroid papillary carcinoma, which may be valuable in clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Journal of International Oncology 2015;(5):347-350
Cell polarity is a common feature of many different types of cells, and it is essential to the normal differentiation and function of cells. Partitioning defective 6( PAR6)gene encodes PAR6 protein, which is crucial to asymmetric cell division and polarized growth. PAR6 protein as a member of the PAR6 polarity complex, affects the synthetic of centrosome and protein recruitment to the centrosome. The abnormal number of centrosomal and the loss of cell polarity may eventually lead to the occurrence of tumor.

Journal of International Oncology 2013;(6):406-409
Oncogene Pim-1 has a close relationship with the occurrence and development of several tumours. It is involved in a number of signal transduction pathways and regulates the expression of the downstream biological factors or acts synergistically with other oncogenes.Pim-1 plays an important role in the clinical diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of some tumors, and provides a new potential target in the chemotherapy of tumors.Recently,Pim-1-targeting treatment strategy has be a research hotspot and it would be used for cancer clinical treatment hopefully.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of moxibustion plus anus-lifting exercise in preventing hemorrhoids relapse.Method Seventy eligible patients with mixed hemorrhoids whose symptoms had been released by conservative treatment were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 35 cases in each group. The treatment group was intervened by moxibustion plus anus-lifting exercise, while the control group only practiced anus-lifting exercise. The intervention was conducted successively for 4 weeks. Symptoms including hematochezia, bearing-down pain, prolapse, and size of hemorrhoid were scored in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th treatment weeks as well as the 4th week after the intervention, meanwhile, the relapse rates of the above symptoms were observed.Result In the 3rd treatment week, there were significant differences in comparing the scores of prolapse, bearing-down pain, and hemorrhoid size between the two groups (allP<0.05); in the 4th treatment week and the 4th week after the intervention, there were significant differences in comparing the scores of hematochezia, prolapse, bearing-down pain and hemorrhoid size between the two groups (allP<0.05); in the 4th week after the intervention, there were significant differences in comparing the relapse rates of hematochezia, bearing-down pain, prolapse and hemorrhoid size between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion Moxibustion plus anus-lifting exercise can produce a significant efficacy in preventing the hemorrhoids relapse.
