Objective To summarize the clinical results of combined procedure of resections and constructions of bronchus, great vessels and heart in the treatment of 79 patients with central lung cancer. Methods From Jun,1988 to Jun,2005,the combined procedure of resections and constructions of bronchus, great vessels and heart were carried out in 74 patients with central lung cancer. The operations included ring of bronchus or sleeve lobectomy in 57 cases, double sleeve lobectomy in 15 cases, carinal resection and reconstruction in 4 cases. Results There was no operative deaths and 7(8.86 %) patients had operative complications. The survival rates of 12,36,60 months and 10 years were 78.5%,59.5%,35.4% and 17.7% respectively. Conclusion With the treatment of sleeve lobectomy or combined with resection and reconstruction of pulmonary artery, great vessels or heart, the pulmonary function can be protected significantly, and the cure rate and the long term survival rate can be improved in patients with central lung cancer.

OBJECTIVETo compare clinical effects between percutaneous compressing plating (PCCP) and proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA) for the treatment of patients with intertrochanteric fracture with risk external wall.
METHODSFrom September 2007 to June 2010, 43 patients with intertrochanteric fracture with risk external wall were treated by PCCP or PFNA according to different kinds of internal fixations. There were 22 cases in PCCP, including 9 males and 13 females with an average age of 68.4 (ranged, 60 to 86) years old, and 13 cases with type A2.2 and 9 cases with type A2.3; while 21 cases in PFNA, including 7 males and 14 females with an average age of 67.7 (ranged, 57 to 93) years old, and 10 cases with type A2.2 and 11 cases with type A2.3. Blood loss, operation time, hospital stay, fracture healing time, complications and Harris score after 1 years' following-up were observed and compared.
RESULTSAll patients were followed up for 12 to 22 (means 18.4) months, and all patients were obtained fracture healing, and recovered walking ability as before injury. There were no significant differences in blood loss, operation time, hospital stay, fracture healing time, complications and Harris score after 1 years' following-up (P>0.05). One case occurred displacement on the top of greater trochanter, and 1 case injuried weakness of hip abduction. One case occurred screw breakage in PCCP, while 1 case occurred hip joint pain in PFNA.
CONCLUSIONBoth of PCCP and PFNA in treating patients with intertrochanteric fracture with risk external wall can receive good clinical effects, while the effects and therapy strategy for displacement of bone on the top of lateral wall should further study.

ITS2 sequence was used as a barcode to identify Viticis Fructus and its adulterants. The study collected 46 samples include Viticis Fructus and its adulterants. The sequences were obtained by extracting DNA, amplification, sequencing bi-direstionlly, and then assembling with CodonCode Aligner. To identify Viticis Fructus and its adulterants, the study used the methods of computing the genetic distances by Kimura 2-Parameter (K2P) model and constructing the Neighbor-joining (NJ) phylogenetic trees using MEGA5.0. The results showed that the maximum inter-specific K2P distance of Viticis Fructus was less than the minimum inter-specific K2P distance of Viticis Fructus and its adulterants and the NJ tree indicated that the Viticis Fructus and its adulterants could be distinguished clearly. Therefore, using ITS2 barcode can distinguished Viticis Fructus and its adulterants accurately.

Objective:To study the effect of midnight-noon ebb-flow acupoint selection on rheumatoid arthritis. Methods:120 cases of patients with rheumatoid arthritis were randomly divided into three groups:midnight-noon ebb-flow acupoint selection group, acupuncture by differentiation of symptoms and signs group, integrative group of midnight-noon ebb-flow acupoint selection and acupuncture by differentiation of symptoms and signs group. Results:In the midday-midnight flowing of qi-blood acupuncture group of 40 cases,11 cases were improved obviously,11cases were improved,9cases were improved slightly,9 cases were ineffective, the total effective rate was 77.5%. In the acupuncture by differentiation of symptoms and signs group of 40 patients,10 cases were improved significantly,11 cases were improved,11 cases were improved moderate,8 cases were ineffective, the total effective rate was 80.0%. In integrated group of midnight-noon ebb-flow acupoint selection and acupuncture by differentiation of symptoms and signs group of 40 patients,15 cases were improved significantly,13 cases were improved,10 cases were improved moderate,2 cases were ineffective, the total effective rate was 95.0%. Curative effect of the integrative group was better than that of other two groups(P

Objective To investigate the existence of the erythropoiesis inhibitors(?).Methods Twelve patients suffered from uremia with anemia were studied[5 males, and 7 females,(50?12)years].Methylcellulose culture technique was used to culture mice bone marrow cells. The sera from the uremia patients were added to CFU- E and BFU-E culture medium with final concentrations of 1,25%,2.5% and 5%,Mice bone marrow cells were ob- tained from the female Balb/c mice.In vitro CFU-E and BFU-E culture in the presence of sera from uremia patients was compared with that in the presence of normal human subjects with the use of normal mice bone marrows.Re- suits The effects of the sera from uremia patients on CFU-E and BFU-E colon growth were in a dose-dependent manner. The effect was correlated with the concentrations of the sera(P

AIM: To study the processing of Indigo Naturals. METHODS: Study on the microstructure of Indigo Naturals with scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X ray diffractometer (XRD) were carried out. RESULTS: Through the SEM, it is clear that Indigo attached to the surface of some white substance, and the XRD proves that the white substance in Indigo Naturals is calcium carbonate (CaCO 3). CONCLUSION: The study about the processing of Indigo Naturals indicates that Indigo Naturals consists of Indigo and other effective compositions attached the surface of calcium carbonate (CaCO 3).

AIM: To compare the clinical outcomes of pterygium excision followed by translocation of adjacent conjunctival autograft with stem cells or transplantation of conjunctival autograft with stem cells to treat and prevent the recurrence of pterygium.METHODS: Fifty patients (60 eyes) were divided into 2groups, and pterygium excision followed by translocation of adjacent conjunctival autograft with stem cells (group A) and pterygium excision followed by transplantation of conjunctiva autograft harvested from counter-side limbus with stem cells (group B) were performed respectively. The surgical time of each case was recorded.RESULTS: All the 50 cases (60 eyes) of pterygium were recruited. The epithelization of cornea and conjunctiva in all cases finished in 2-5d, During the follow-up of 6-12mo, pterygium reoccurred in 2 cases (1 in each group), with no difference in recurrence rate. The mean surgical time was 25± 8min for group A,43± 11min for group B, the difference being statistically significant (P<0.05, t-test).CONCLUSION: Both methods, pterygium excision followed by translocation of adjacent conjunctival autograft with stem cells or transplantation of conjunctival autograft with stem cells are effective on treating and reducing the recurrence of pterygium. Compared with the latter, pterygium excision followed by translocation of adjacent conjunctival autograft with stem cells is simpler and easier to perform, and is preferred by the patients too.
