Objective To explore the short and long term curative effects of percutaneous transhepatic cholangioscopic lithotomy (PTCSL) in the treatment of intrahepatic stone (IHS).Methods 38 IHS patients were enrolled, who were treated with PTCSL between January 2008 and July 2013.Results PTCSL was successfully completed in all the 38 IHS cases.Stone clearance rate was 84.2% and the average episode of stone removal was (2.6 ± 0.9) times.Average diameter of percutaneous transhepatic fistula was (18.4 ± 0.6) F and the average time from percutaneous transhepatic puncture and fistulization to cholangioscopic lithotomy was (7.2 ± 0.7)d.The average operation time was (68 ± 20) min, intraoperative blood loss was (20 ± 13) ml,and hospitalization was (4 ± 2) days. The hepatolith recurrence rate in patients with stones completely removed was 37.5% (12/32),and 1 case developed into biliary cirrhosis.Patients with calculi residual suffered from higher hepatolith recurrence rate of 83.8% (5/6),with biliary cirrhosis found in 1 case. Conclusions PTCSL is safe and effective in treating primary IHS,which is indicated in multiple recurrent IHS especially in after biliary surgery patients. It has the advantages of minimally invasion, less bleeding, less postoperative pain, less complications, and fast postoperative recovery.

1.0 ?mol/L),the toxicity and side effects of MTX increased significantly. The most common drug side effects were gastrointestinal symptoms and leucopenia. The oral mucosal lesions became worse in 12 g/m2 group. Conclusion The monitoring of HD-MTX plasma concentration provides an objective clinical basis for the individualized chemotherapy.

Affinity chromatography is a chromatographic method for separating molecules using the binding characteristics of the stationary phase with potential drug molecules. This method can be performed as a high throughput screening method and a chromatographic separation method to screen a variety of active drugs. This paper summarizes the history of affinity chromatography, screening technology of affinity chromatography, and application of affinity chromatography in screening bio-active compounds in herbal medicines, and then discusses its application prospects, in order to broaden applications of the affinity chromatography in drug screening.

Objective To understand the situations of home establishments and the related domestic behaviors that causing injuries. Methods A total of 9760 families with regular residents in a community in Shanghai were investigated. Questionnaire was designed bascd on the Guidelines for Conducting Community Surveys on Injuries and Violence and International Classification of External Causes of Injuries. Results Inside the home settings, relative factors were found on issues as fire protection and using of electricity. In terms of household settings, 14.85% of the families had smoke alarm systems in the kitchen; 40.75% had no windows set for emergence. 50% to 70% of the residents had the idea of safe behaviors, including 35.93% of the families stored cleaning products, other chemicals or medical substances in alternative containers, such as used drinking bottle. Only 1.81% of the people being investigated thought that home was also a high risk place where injury might occur and it was placed number 9 in a multiple choice questionnaire. Data from the multiple level model analysis showed that factors as number of family members, space, education, profession etc. were closely related to the situation of home settings and their resident's behaviors. Conclusion Many injury related factors were found related to home establishments and people' s daily behaviors at home which called for interventions to be taken.

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a common degenerative disease of central nervous system. Brain mitochondrial dysfunction and structural damage are the important pathogeny of PD. At present, many of Chinese herbal compounds, herbal medicines, and TCM active ingredients are used to prevent and treat PD. The main mechanisms of these medicines are involved in the protection of mitochondrial structure, anti-oxidative stress, anti-calcium dysregulation, mitigation of excitotoxicity, and anti-apoptosis, etc., which also play a comprehensive role through multi-link, multi-level, and multi-target. Through looking up the recent representative literature, the experimental results of Chinese herbal compounds and TCM active ingredients preventing and treating PD through repairing brain mitochondrial structure and function were analyzed and inducted. Many of Chinese herbal compounds and TCM active ingredients were proved to have good effects on PD.

Objective To explore the application of diffusion weighted imaging(DWI) in diagnosis of viral encephalitis in children. Methods Conventional MR imaging(T2WI and T1WI) and DWI were performed on 20 patients with viral encephalitis diagnosed clinically.Location and number of lesions demonstrated on these imagings and percents in their abnormality were compared. Results Percen-(tage of abnormality) demonstrated on DWI was significantly higher than that on T1WI(?~2=4.44 P

Objective To explore the clinical characteristics and treatment of Caroli′s disease in children. Methods The clinical data, laboratory examination and radiological feature of 8 children with Caroli′s disease between Feb.1998 and Dec.2007 were analyzed retrospectively. All children underwent CT and abdominal ultrasonogram. Results Five cases of the 8 children were male and 3 cases were female. The mean age was 6.3 years old.The cases′ history were from 5 days to 4 months. The clinical symptoms showed that 3 cases had hematemesis,5 cases had hepatosplenomegaly, and 1 case had fever and turbid urine.Of the total 8 cases,5 cases were hepatic fibrosis and liver cirrhosis and hepatosplenomegaly,3 cases were portal hypertension, and 1 case had cholangitis. The other 3 cases were simple types. One case had infantile polycystic kidney disease.Laboratory analysis revealed 2 cases had dysfunction of liver and 1 dysfunction of renal. The imaging characteristics showed multiplied irregular dilatation of the intrahepatic bile ducts in enlarged liver, with central dot sign on CT scan. One case presented enlarged gastroesophageal vein. The 8 cases undertook conservative treatment, with no surgery. Conclusions The symptoms of Caroli′s disease are highly variable.Caroli′s disease should be focused especially on children with abdominal pain and hepatomegaly.CT is important for diagnosis of Caroli′s disease at earlier stage. The disease can be conservatively treated, and(or) surgically operated.
