OBJECTIVETo investigate the type and corresponding operation methods of ulnar lateral mass in distal radial fractures.
METHODSFrom January 2004 to September 2010,32 cases of distal radial fractures with ulnar lateral mass were treated by surgical incision and relocate ulnar lateral mass, including 23 males and 9 females with an average age of (34 +/- 9) years old ranging from 28 to 65 years old. According to the classification of Melone-Doi, 2 cases with type I, 24 cases of type II, 6 cases with type III. The operative appoach involved palm-radial, palm-ulnar, radial-dorsal. Among them, 28 patients with closed fractures were fixed with plate, 4 cases (including 2 cases of open fractures) were fixed by Kirschner pin and braces.
RESULTSThirty-two patients were followed up for 8 to 18 months with an average of 12 months. All fractures were healing without complications. According to modified Gartland-Werley scoring system (GWSS), the total score was 1.12 +/- 0.45, the remain deformity was 0, subjective evaluation was 0.50 +/- 0.30, objective evaluation was 0.30 +/- 0.21, complications was 0.40 +/- 0.09; the result was excellent in 21 cases, good in 11 cases.
CONCLUSIONThe location of ulnar lateral mass in distal radial fractures is one of the important prognostic factors in wrist function and surgical treatment is an effective method of fixing ulnar lateral mass in distal radial fractures.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(08):-
The production technology for the first generation of biofuels has been made great achievements and some countries, such as USA, EU countries, and Brazil, have formed successful biofuel industrial chains. Cellulose ethanol, a representative of the second generation of biofuels and a kind of more promising alternative fuels, has not yet got enough key technological breakthroughs and its large scale commercial production still needs rather some time to realize. Now it is in the early stage of transition to the second generation of biofuels. Taking the development of second generation of biofuels as their national policies, many countries have developed long-term development plans and objectives, and provided a good policy environment and strong support for it. Thus institutes and enterprises are engaging and successing in addressing key issues relating to the development of biofuels. At the mean time, some important issues relating to the sustainable development of biofuels have attracted people's attention.

Objective To understand the psychological health status of the middle and primary school students, and to provide some advice of their mental health care. Methods In 11 611 middle and primary school students in 18 schools in Maojian area of Shiyan city, the students, teachers and parents at 5 schods were investigated a randomely, targets were examined by Achenbach Child Behavior Checklist(CBCL),Pupil Rating Scale Revised Screening for Learning(PRS),Conner's Parent Symptom Questionnaire(PSQ)and Conner's Teacher Rating Scale(TRS)and self-established questionnaires for general information. Results The investigation demonstrated:89.29% of students possessed very promising dreams and sublime pursuits, and had correct outlook on life and values;10.71% of students had comparatively severe psychological problems. The major problems appeared to be indefinite purpose of study, shorted of mental endurance and severe impulsivetrend.Moreover,an-xiety,emotion instability and solitary trend caused indifference, sheepish ness and difficulty in their communication. Conclusion Schools, families and society pay close attention to students, mental health and help the youngsters develop in a healthily psychdogical way.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the use of antibiotics in general hospitals of Ningbo. METHODS Totally 4 391 case history records in April,2004 of 12 hospitals were investigated on the use of antibiotics. RESULTS Medicines incomes accounted for 55.16% in total revenue in a hospital, and antibiotics accounted for 32.66% among medicines incomes.Antibiotics using rate was 62.11% in internal medicine departments. The percentage of antibiotics using without evidence was 23.92%,the combined antibiotics using rate was 49.89%.The average duration for antibiotics using was 10.83 days.Antibiotics using rate in surgery departments before operation was 71.00%,during operation was 20.48%,the combined antibiotics using rate during operation was 14.50%,antibiotics using rate after operation was 96.55%.Antibiotics using for treatment accounted for 62.37% and for prevention was 24.17%. CONCLUSIONS Antibiotics using rate is high in hospitals in Ningbo.Income of medicine is also an important part of total revenue in a hospital. We should pay more attention to management on clinical use of antibiotics.

OBJECTIVETo study the effect of budesonide (BUD) on RORγt expression in the pulmonary tissue of asthmatic mice and mechanisms of BUD in the treatment of asthma.
METHODSBlab/c asthmatic mouse model was induced by ovalbumin (OVA). Thirty female mice were randomly divided into three groups: control, asthmatic and BUD-treated. IL-17 levels in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and serum were measured using ELISA. Total and differential cell counts in BALF were measured. Airway inflammation was evaluated by hematoxylin and eosin staining. IL-17 mRNA and RORγt mRNA expression were measured by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).
RESULTSRORγt mRNA and IL-l7 levels in the asthmatic group were significantly higher than in the control group (P<0.01). BUD treatment significantly decreased RORγt mRNA and IL-l7 levels compared with the asthmatic group (P<0.01). Compared with the control group, total, neutrophil and eosinophil cell count in BALF increased significantly in the asthmatic group (P<0.01). After BUD treatment, counts of total, neutrophil and eosinophil cells in BALF were significantly reduced (P<0.01) and were similar to in the control group. Inflammatory reactions in the respiratory tract were significantly alleviated in the BUD treated group.
CONCLUSIONSRORγt and IL-l7 levels in the pulmonary tissue of asthmatic mice increase and this may be associated with the pathogenesis of asthma. BUD can inhibit RORγt and IL-17 and thus reduces lung inflammation.
