Objective To investigate the clinical effect of 153 Sm-EDTMP treatment on pain palliation in the patients with bone metastasis of lung cancer, breast cancer or prostate cancer. Methods 166 patients with bone metastasis of cancers were intravenously injected 18.5~37 MBq/kg (0.5~1.0 mCi/kg ) body weight of 153 Sm-EDTMP, once a month or two months. Results The effective rate of pain palliation of 153 Sm-EDTMP treating bone metastasis of lung cancer, preast cancer and prostate cancer were 68.5%, 89.3% and 100%, respectively. The efficacious rate of pain palliation in breast and prostate cancers was significantly higher than that in lung cancer (P

Objective To explore the changes of serum leptin level in patients with diabetic microangiopathy. Methods A total of 90 subjects were assigned to three groups which included 30 healthy controls,30 diabetic patients without microangiopathy and 30 patients with diabetic microangiopathy. The studing groups were matched for sex and BMI.The level of serum leptin ,ⅣC,insulin and glucose of these patients were measured, and the correlation between serum leptin level and other indexes was analyzed. Results The level of serum leptin in controls, diabetic patients without microangiopathy and patients with diabetic microangiopathy were (7.20?2.11) ?g/L, (7.95?3.78)?g/L and (10.26?4.37)?g/L respectively .The patients with diabetic microangiopathy had higher serum leptin levels than in the diabetic patients without microangiopathy( t =2.18, P

Objective To review the study of noninvasive imaging methods for evaluating liver fibrosis.Meth- ods The current literatures on the use of the ultrasonography,CT and MRI for the evaluation of liver fibrosis were reviewed. The principles, applications and advancement of each imaging methods were described and summarized re- spectively. The features of the newly developed imaging techniques were also discussed. Results In addition to the morphologic information, the imaging examinations can also provide functional information about the circulation sta- tus, diffusion and metabolism features of liver. The potential diagnostic value of MR elastography for liver fibrosis has been addressed. Conclusion The imaging examinations, especially the functional MRI techniques, are reliable noninvasive alternatives for the evaluation of hepatic fibrosis, with bright potentiality for clinical application.

OBJECTIVETo observe the therapeutic effect of a drug pair of Radix Astragali and Rehmanniae Radix combined with glucocorticoid (GC) in treating lupus nephritis (LN) patients and its influence on some experimental indices.
METHODSTotally 52 LN patients were randomly assigned to the treatment group (treated by routine Western medicine and a drug pair of Radix Astragali and Rehmanniae Radix, 25 cases) and the control group (treated by Western medicine, mainly by GC and cyclophosphamide, 27 cases). All patients received 6-month therapy. The GC dosage, the withdrawal and reduction dosage of GC, clinical efficacy, systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index (SLEDAI) score, adverse reactions, and laboratory indicators were recorded.
RESULTS(1) All patients got relieved to some degree with the dosage of GC reduced. The total withdrawal and reduction dosage of GC was slightly higher in the treatment group than in the control group [(50.23 +/- 12.43) mg vs (48.76 +/- 13.61) mg, P > 0.05]. Besides, the prednisone dosage in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group, but without statistical difference (P > 0.05). The ratio of patients in need of adding prednisone for aggravating disease was 24.0%, significantly lower than that in the control group (44.44%, P < 0.05). (2) There was no statistical difference in the SLEDAI score, inflammatory indicators, liver and renal functions, blood electrolytes, blood glucose, blood and urine routines between the two groups (P > 0.05). The 24-h urinary protein count was (1.06 +/- 0.22) g/L in the treatment group, obviously lower than that in the control group (1.43 +/- 0.55 g/L, P < 0.05). (3) There was no statistical difference in the incidence rate of infection, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, psychoneuroses, Cushing's syndrome, cardiovascular anomalies, and femoral head necrosis between the two groups (P > 0.05). But the incidence of adverse reactions such as insomnia, tidal fever, spontaneous sweat, and obesity was less in the treatment group than in the control group (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONSUsing a drug pair of Radix Astragali and Rehmanniae Radix combined with GC in treating LN could withdraw the dosage of GC and relieve symptoms it induced. It was advantageous in reducing the dosage of GC and stabilizing patients' conditions.

AlM:To evaluate the efficacy of combined pranoprofen eye drops and artificial tears on the treatment of mild to moderate dry eye syndrome after trabbeculectomy.METHODS:This prospective case control study included 63 cases (63 eyes) of patients with mild to moderate dry eye syndrome after trabbeculectomy in our hospital from November 2013 to June 2013. All subjects were randomly divided into two groups. Observation group was treated with combined pranoprofen eye drops and artificial tears and control group received simple artificial tears marking the eyes at 1, 2, 4wk. The patient's symptoms, signs, BUT, S▏t, and FL were observed before treatment and 1, 2, 4wk after treatment.RESULTS: After 2wk, the symptoms of observation group were improved, there was statistically significant difference (P<0. 05). FL difference of each group was statistically significant ( P<0. 05 ); After 4wk, symptoms and signs were improved. There was statistically significant difference ( P < 0. 05 ). The BUT of the observation group and corneal FL scores of two groups showed significant differences (P<0. 05). CONCLUSlON: Artificial tears joint pranoprofen eye drops has good curative effect in the treatment of mild to moderate dry eye syndrome after trabbeculectomy.

Recent Advances in Ophthalmology 2000;20(6):400-401
Objective To study the correlation between the rabbit glucocorticoid receptor(GR) and steroid-induced glaucoma(SIG).Methods The GR binding in peripheral blood leukocytes and plasma cortisol were measured in 15 adults pigmented rabbits on the first day of experiment, 0.5mg dexamethasone was injected in the right eyes of each rabbit once every 2 days, totally 15 times for 30 days. Right eyes intraocular pressure(IOP) and aqueous outflow facility were measured every week, the relation between GR, plasma cortisol, IOP and aqueous outflow facility(C) was analyzed. Results After the experiment the IOP increased by 0.67kPa±0.49kPa(P<0.01),C decreased by 0.08±0.11(P<0.01).GR may closely be related to IOP and C(r=0.56,P<0.025; r=0.60,P<0.01).Plasma cortisol was independent of IOP and C(r=0.27, P>0.05;r=0.34,P>0.05).Conclusion The level of GR has positive correlation with the sensitivity of tissue of eye to glucocorticoid.

Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(07):-
Objective To investigate the relation of the MR manifestations and the pathological characteristics of dissociated discherniation. Methods Characteristics of pathology and MRI of 23 cases of dissociated disc herniation were retrospectively analysed. Results Of 23 cases, the dissociated disc was low signal intensity(compared with spinal cord) on T_1WI and T_2WI with distinct margine in 7 cases, the adhere and inflammation were slight on pathology;iso-or hypo-signal intensity on T_1WI,low signal intensity in the center and slight high signal intensity at periphery on T_2WI with an distinct margine in 13 cases, while the adhere and inflammation were obvious on pathology;on T_1WI slight high signal intensity on T_1WI and iso-intensity on T_2WI in 3 cases, and fibroplasia was showed on patholgy. In the 12 cases with enhanced MRI,the lesions were slight enhancement at periphery and enhancement in the center in 7 cases,no enhancement in 3 cases, slight enhancement in 2 cases. Conclusion MRI signal characteristic can reflect pathologic changes expressly of the dissociated disc herniation.
